[Music] one of the things we autocrossing is a friendly competition and I started doing it when I was 17 years old and that’s a few weeks ago now um but it’s just a friendly atmosphere and I just enjoy doing it my car here is um a Mark 1 escort BDA full historic spec this is what it looks like under the Bonnet it’s running a 2 L be a engine built by Trevor Morris engines up in shopshire there it develops about 240 brake horsepower the shell itself was imported from Portugal simply because there’s no rust in them then that’s that was the idea of that this is the office bit of it I’ve got the the Rev C here I I rev him a little bit hard perhaps cuz I like to take him up to about n and n and a bit um and we have the rev counter set so as I know with without looking hard when the needle’s Bol upright that’s my 9,000 plus RPM so that’s what I why we have it set like that got the oil pressure gauge here which is in line of vision um just in case we have oil pressure problems and you can turn it off before it gets expensive then hopefully just just something about a mark one escort I always think the Mark I is all right but the smart one in a BDA engine the the note of a BDA engine just takes just takes hell of a beat in but um and it’s very forgiving to drive you can sort of get to some funny angles and in the forest sometimes you think well we’re off the road here and for some unknown reason you can seem toble to get them back relatively easy well thank you for having an interest in my car and um the rest of the year we got a wi Dean rally coming up in October we’re going to do that and uh go on from there [Music] yeah yeah [Music] yeah
