Part 2 of my epic 150 miles in a day 20th June 2024 Bike For Life in memory of dad to help raise funds for Springhill Hospice Rochdale where dad sadly passed in September 2021. What an adventure….. Cows, bulls, jets, walls, punctures, pasties, redbulls, sheep , hills…. 🙂
this for a lovely road like a jungle y apparently this road is closed but some cars went down so I’m just going to see such a beautiful Valley he ship that’s the road I need to go up on the other side 14% 5% a so so I’ve stopped cuz there’s a bow there there’s two cars and it looked well I tried to get close and it looked at me so I turned around so I’m just kind of waiting for them to go cuz I don’t think I can get around just need them to move on not too sure might be here for a little while cuz I don’t think there’s any way around let can skim me past that wall dodgy I just climb through that oh my God all this to trying to scoot around the cow it’s quite funny really that’s one cill you lat dudes look get me dead weird I’m not surprised to be honest right back on the road let to go past two lots of cows huh how sleepy is that I think I’m going up there on the other side oh dear cheers lad thank you take care go out bottom gate you’re going to go the wall further up or I might go to the bottom gate just bit easier there yeah yeah no worries bit safer in it I was going to say we’ll help you over the wall if you want it but um yeah I’m not in the best climbing shoes is it’s all downhill mate so sweet man cool cheers man see you later basty need this start to feel that cing past the out 85 miles in 8 hour 45 riding time it’s 1:00 so I’m definitely past halfway out about 10 miles so that’s good but it’s still quite a long way to go now I feel I feel pretty tight right now just going to keep fueling and just keep going make sure that I finish it puncture so we got any tubes [Applause] back on the road wasn’t a bit puncture just one of the previous Band-Aids gave put another one seems to be all right it happens again I’ll just change the tube looks that Bloody steep in The Valleys God got go there that looks horrendous I might need a Power Gel yeah it starts again man so my spare tire had a puncture in it it’s not great but I managed to fix it and it seems to be holding but yeah it’s delayed me by with the cows and everything block road I’m a couple of hours behind anyway just with even stopping right back crack on again oh hope this tire doesn’t go flat SC down again again 4:00 60 M 66 miles to go L 2 hours just pissing about flat Wheels there’s a bike shoping saddle so [Music] full a in three be CES I’m going to give him a massive shout out for helping me out after he sh Clos he let me in just to get some in tubes W sa again a war another day on the bike to fight the war war it’s the r Wiggles worth out to little farm stopped there before in little cabin well ni last time I’m going to do this cuz I actually got a CH from the shop there a nice guy help me out hopefully the last time this needs to be done [Applause] nightmare I could just go to sleep here I can’t really cuz I’ve still got about 45 miles to do okay let’s go hopefully shouldn’t have to stop again I got another spare one too 44 miles to go uh actually nowhere near Bradford but this is West Bradford [Music] bridge I think we are 30 mil roughly maybe 3 hours so yeah 7 get back about 10:00 all 8:00 well 8 8 minutes past 8 131 miles in so I got 29 miles to go I’m C really tired now to be fair um got a big climb here and then climbing up to the top of rock and so then it’s kind of like an easy ride so I’m going to stop off here at the uh a shell garage and pick up a kind of Red Bull I’m fling yeah so I’m going to do that now no shame in that I just need some more energy have a tough climb this one just goes up and up and up then after that climb it’s climb up to rotten stall got past a reservoir I can’t remember what it’s called but that Red Bull’s definitely helping apparently gives you wings I’m spinning well tripping out a little bit in a good way yeah just pretty good all that I can’t even talk all that whatever it is feels great yeah yeah [Music] [Music] off install it start to get dark and temperature Dro now it’s kind of nice but he getting cooler left towards V up [Music] last real climate of bacon cuz once that’s done then it’s goes through to uh what road we go down to shore cling it’s all downhill then so this pleases me a lot it’s the last climb pretty much the last last sort 7 clim [Music] this is heing and then uh I’m going to go down [Music] to well the top end of short Club being Rock so soon and then hopefully get home in about half an hour maybe 35 40 minutes on my legs off right enough chat pedal cuz can’t really talk anymore enough can hear me down there see com into [Music] rock little [Music] fine f out he [Music] [Music] oh D [Music] it done [Music]
