I did 50 miles at this roundabout a couple of months ago, had to come back and do the full thing. Only went counterclockwise to make it a strava segment, I estimate it was between 1,800 and 2,000 laps. Solo ride aside from a welcome visit from a friend who rode with me from mile 60-75.
Definitely slow going but got it done in the end. Close to zero traffic here because it’s the entrance to a school and it’s the weekend.
Not a single question was asked, not even from the security guard who made their rounds once an hour.
Glad it’s over so I can never do it again…

What was going through your head by the end? How did you not go out of your mind with boredom, did you listen to music or something?

Wow, that’s bringing a lot of mixed emotions. I hate this so much. But it’s amazing. To be honest, I’m most impressed by the 0 m of elevation gain.

Mad respect. I thought I was crazy doing my loop in my old neighborhood. I only ever did 16 miles on that loop, baby stuff.

When I was a kid I saw a dude going around in circles on our road for hours on end on his bike – and I thought it was the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.
As an adult though – thinking back on it – it was in fact one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen anyone do.

Nice even tan I bet. Rotisserie style.

I’d be dizzy by the second lap.

This is unhinged and I love it
Did you feel weird afterwards going in a circle all day?

Okay, I had to get a mental image of the size of the roundabout you used. Did it ‘feel’ like a constant tight turn or rather a gradual or subtle turn…? Given your estimate of 1800 to 2000 laps that is about 84 to 93 feet in diameter. I do think that is tight enough to make me dizzy!
