good morning welcome back to the videos we Alexandra Palace and we are out of breath which is awfully stick we are riding out of London up North for 2024 edition of North London dirt hopefully bit of a sunnier Affair this year flash back to last year good people at orle we’ve got us along to shoot some content for them we figured we take you kind of behind the scenes just go out for a nice bike ride really good 7 hours 8 hours bike riding route is super interesting about 110 km and it’s basically all of the easily accessible gravel sections around North London which You’ be surprised to find there is quite a lot of what we got a little handlebar do youit you know how this goes this go on the bike let’s do this on put only 200 in yeah Dr me to come over and help put it on this is how we noise making M for noises not had much time to talk to the camera cuz it’s doing pretty intense I feel like when we’re on the move and it’s like not visually interesting or entertaining or whatever we just try to like to it through them parts so we go from like above threshold to like stop dead like get the cameras out get the GoPros out get the Drone out piss off some drivers bit of chaos bit of mud bit slippering slipp bit slipping bit slipping around might be a bit of a mish mash of footage at the moment uh because that’s kind of what it is in real life um but coming into the halfway stop now I have a breather have a kind of monster hopefully that Alice has got us and it’s all I can think about uh I then go again for the second half this is L hosen we’ve got a little shirt why why why it’s all Le’s German isn’t it and know right we’re at the Midway stop drones up drones going off to get the or Leaf [Music] tent pretend I’m not here is this getting filmed uh no thank you you got to just got the join up here not lost it so far there’s not much to crash into here apart from the pylons oh the water oh my gosh [Music] my heart is so full look how soft they look good good good areas this point last year I think we’ve been rained G soak through the camera stopped working couldn’t hear anything on the GoPro how do you think it comp pass thank you we in eing now that’s like the steepest the sun in Z from that direction very muddy and I was like I was going all right and then and then you start getting no attaction and you’re like this is a waste of energy that I’m going to desperately need for the remaining 3 hours maybe four of today we got off from walk I think the route takes a lot of the main path Bo eping and the main gravel paths which are really lovely a lot more chilled than how we just entered we just went past filmed the gravine video Yeah speaking of which these tires are sick I’m having like I just think these are so perfect for what we’re doing I feel like quick but safe and secure and like what I’m rolling over it’s good good tires would you say yeah great really great I just feel quite lucky that we have such appropriate tires cuz there has been such a mix of gravel and mud and literally every kind of surface these are the most appropriate British gravel [Music] cars mhm no one’s coming Theo’s there with the Drone in his hand with his little butt oh three hi we got I think it’s a nice shot if we wait for the next hey i’ got completely the handle EAS saf so we’re hiding in bushes again hopefully get some cool shots of people coming down coming through eing we’ve done about 2/3 of it maybe now we’re having a hard time cuz we don’t know when Riders are going to come whether we’re better off going ahead have we missed a big clump of riders and we should be going on because the next roide is going to be half an hour or are they going to be two minutes and they’re going to come down and skid their way down here and we’re going to get the best footage ever like we don’t know we think we’ve got some decent footage are you happy with what you got yeah I think so I we’ve definitely got enough to make like a good video already but we just want like good coverage of the route and good coverage of all the Riders the only problem is we we we’d like to get to the Finish ahead of a good amount of riders as well oh someone’s coming come on Ruby come on Ruby we were waiting we be waiting for rages come back again into it come on yes never in [Music] down oh thank you she was just holding a massive cat squash face cat oh really big one of those the really fancy ones yeah in own how’s your ride been today good having a good day great day I feel like if I’m not super fast in the next cross season for having done this one ride like it’s I’m quitting this is it this is one I reckon [Music] I we’re back in London just came in through onead Flats which is a really cool place we’ve never been to before 14k left on our route so maybe 10K left until we’re back the start finish start to get a nice drone shot that we kind of had in mind that we planned yesterday Ral show there it is [Music] and we were kind of waiting for Riders before Theo had the Epiphany that like there’s two of us yeah wouldn’t be nice if a rider came along underneath the shot I was like get on your bike we really heavily curated it and then as the shot was happening two Riders turned up which made it perfect anyway so it worked out in the end good result but it has cost us time a little bit of time and now we’re kind of try to chase to the Finish just going to try and rattle this out get back get some of the Vib to the Finish if anyone’s still there if anyone’s still there my bike didn’t sound like this when I started you’re good thank you see you take care a natural natural that is any do you want to tell me how your day was absolutely cracking all right [Music] it the a kit is just so durable I personally think you’re looking for that reliability dur like you’ll do well to break it and if you do everything we have it’s [Laughter] like that’s making it in the final how was your ride it was lovely you know like much better than last year last year I lost my sense of humor and the legs left the chat it was Carnage I came out in May thinking it’ be good and it was so wet it was so wet it was still wet today after a week of sun no but I take it the temperature is at least right in the right Direction my man down here and I enjoyed it we did enjoy it big game I just felt big bits of mud in mine rout was actually pretty good actually be surprised it is surprising isn’t it for So within London kind of in and around the M25 that’s it weaving in and out you weren’t expecting amazing stuff but at the same time you actually got you don’t want to be quite good stuff carried a few caterpillars of me though did you oh yeah that’s quite the passenger it’s pretty pretty crazy that was our North London uh thanks for watching
