The UCI Mountain Bike World Series unites mountain bike’s major formats under a single brand for the first time. The new UCI Mountain Bike World Series includes the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for Cross-country Olympic (XCO), Cross-country Short Track (XCC), Cross-country Marathon (XCM), Downhill (DHI), Enduro (EDR) and E-enduro (E-EDR).

oh it is giving me goosebumps to be back here home over last year’s double French Victory when Benard kouan got his first World Cup win and the whole Mountain Side erupted with home fans wanting to get a piece of their guy and to be honest it seems pretty set up for a French win today as well with Amry Pon looking incredible Lo bruny top of the overall last year’s winner Marin cabaro firing and of course Miriam nickoll back on the podium but let’s not get ahead of ourselves Le there is still plenty out there who could stop them start hot remains to see him at the top off the two lifts then into some slightly tweaked turns took Valley Haller a contention last season and then things get serious once it hits the tree line typical French D Hill course really widely tipped until it’s not slightly M section around the reservoir there and then tip back into one of the steepest parts of the track after that then they head out again across the past on a slightly reworked jump line before turning right and dropping into the famous finish bow and we’re going to get to see a full run here and just see what state this track is in oh no down in the first Corner running and that I was about to ask you what you think the conditions are going to be like up there that kind kind of tells its own story doesn’t it yeah I was just going to say oh boy look at how shiny that is up there the top of the hill up here there’s a lot of altitude up there so a lot of times the weather is going to be coming down a lot harder up there earlier than it will down here where we’re at at the bottom so this is the first time these Riders are seeing this course and this condition and you got to kind of take a guess at your setup usually you soften things up just a little bit try to find some more grip when there’s really not any oh oh running down hard through the crash net in think she’s okay and she’s got away of it just gets flipped over now the Marshall’s down as they try and get the bike back she will have to re-enter the course finina the European champ Lees the star hop in Le her only finals appearance so far this season not been going well for her but she’s in the Big Show today 9.8 seconds up this is a question of getting the bike down the line look at the front end trying to break away from underneath but this section looking like it’s good be key yeah she’s committed to The High Line there making it work she’s got to keep the bike straight up and down right here be careful nice oh skir just barely holding on to it barely holding on to it we met we saw those earlier parts of the track in our course preview with Aon n the for oh dude scary this section my goodness this was slippery this morning in the morning due let alone a bit of bit of a bit of drizzle out there but those ruts they’re so deep the impacted the r hitting those ruts up there in person they’ got to be close to axle deep some of them yeah we are going to see Farina head to the hot seat though as she has down manages to take off all the sections cleanly first Elite woman to do that let’s see what her time is she cross the line and give us our first real Benchmark a 49.1 168 elanora finina happy with that fifth in semi finals for John set so really really gifted technical bite Rider I’m going to go out on a limb here and say if she can hold this together this could end up being your winner by the end of the day I was so impressed with how she was rotting in the mud first day of practice the line she was hitting she definitely tends to hang it out you can see by the aggression already she’s going for it she can put this together one of those Racers that she’s an incredible bite Rider but just sometimes struggles to add it up against the clock but these conditions will suited her in as Aaron says if she can hang on to this one maybe hang wi just dabs her foot there but manages to keep it going yeah huge opportunity here she had a really good uh semi run yesterday actually in the dry too really tight I think she was only a couple seconds back off the lead and uh like I said this section she’s coming in yeah you can see the rain’s really starting to come down but right here is where I saw her in practice uh there’s a right-hander that’s super tight right here yeah look at this right here just LOF the back wheel around there yeah it’s looking really good and you can tell the sections of the track that that actually look the trickiest or are kind of the easier sections the more technical stuff in the trees is still a little dry there’s some ruts you can push into but as soon as you get into the open there’s no more grip you got to be careful that inside line just there this morning was so difficult so for to get that right now in the wet predictable I mean look at the dust that just came up through that mud there she went inside of that low right but the dust is still there so you all of a sudden think you have grip come down to the ice ring what a shot that is John set just makes her own rut don’t worry it holding it wide and letting it slide here in Le this part of the track terrifying as she heads down towards the bottom of the rework jump section mle on set it’s been a BRI of effort what is it going to add up to at the bottom though does seem to have a bit of a Tailwind down this lower section the wind was into us in the Finish ball so that will help the speeds over these smaller jumps into the Finish it’s going to help you somewhere has to play a part on your behalf somewhere John sit now just has to turn right towards the line but that is no easy thing in this well heads down across the line Millie young then second place 6.7 back shakes the head is it going to hamper the German national champion today and these first Corners really crucial M that first little off camber left how it falls away in the ruts that have developed is so hman Hoffman’s done Hoffman th and Le you can see it started going wrong early for her Aon yeah just start to push the front end just a little bit and when it’s slippery like this in hard pack when it starts to go there’s just no way to pull it back it’s never going to catch traction again currently four from the UCI World Cup overall Nina Hoffman just takes a seat on the Santa Cruz B10 and just as we kind of alluded to earlier Aron when you having to break a lot heavier whenever the conditions are like this it is a lot more Force for the upper body it’s a lot more stream yeah for sure and you just have a tendency to ride really tight because you just feel like the wheels are going to skip out at any minute and uh you grip the bars tight and it almost makes it worse you got to kind of stay loose on the bike stay Square over the top of it make sure you’re not dipping the elbows and the the head in too much Josh this section really is looking key for me you can see how dry it is through hofman goes down again big impact for Hoffman on that left hand side oh that is just she’s going to Rattle that confidence even more if you get caught in between she definitely made that look good w w w just having to stand on the side of the tires there that look hectic look at the speed difference there’s huge ruts coming in that jump there and it just shows how much speed has has been lost from this track oh the front wheel tries to get away from karoo but she holds on I’m going to lose my voice in later hold on to it we heard from Emory Pon last year in a similar position he was leading the overall and he said he just couldn’t shake that thought of giving up the overall from a mistake here the pressure racing in France in Le D hard through the root section my goodness these girls are hitting the ground hard today kabaro has been done she’s been down again as well in that right hander that right hander is so diabolical right now so maybe that inside could play a play a it’s card here today cuz it’s just ice look exactly the same exactly the same place it’s exactly oh that is a huge impact down to the corner there you see the rain falling down in the start Hut see G with that new signature Fox kit launched earlier on this week as we wait to see her first split what is it going to look like SE is faster by 1 and 1 half seconds she’s navigated that upper section well the great sign is that she is still clean for now as the roots start to emerge into this lower section here through some of these sections see if she gets this big double jump down here oh no worries oh yeah like butter cleans it SE absolutely Trucking there is her team manager team manager and Tony watching on that chewing gum the RPMs are increasing it’s really close that’s it’s 5.5 faster no for SE at the first split here we go this is the key part here this so some massive Roots we’ve seen Rider after Rider slap the dirt right here from marine cabaro and in to the biggest shoot of the race shads of ree Wilson from a couple of years ago just really having a good go this get away from her and goes time but she does have time that she can get back to the the bike it Slips Away from Her here’s the line I’m talking about Le she was looking for it come on Tiny let’s go drama from pulls a couple tear offs trying to C that’s what’s so hard too is when you get to the bottom where it’s the hardest usually you can’t see there yeah you can see I mean she just dropped into that corner from 10 ft above it and still barely made it just like that it’s all over tiny SE then head stone towards the line she gave this one absolutely everything and nearly came away with the win SE green crosses the line third place 20.6 seconds back interestingly hunting the dirt so she’s paid attention to the lines here she’s not on the main line so hunting that fresh dirt yeah smart riding running handguards too I noticed yesterday in qualifying the only Rider I think in the field actually running handguards yeah stitches in her hand from a crash earlier on the week the common sou mooff Squad just oh Miriam Nicole goes down in that left hander we saw Hoffman taken out by a earlier r as well she’s definitely on Pace for at least a second here but can’t she survive the last shoot man I feel like that’s just getting worse and worse with every Rider s seconds back for Nicole n as she continues she looks good she does look good she looks like she knows it hasn’t got away from her she wasn’t on the ground that long either she just tripods her way into that corner on Clips the wrong foot needs to get it back in again shoes filled with mud if this is a mud race that’s going to be an option goes wide on Entry there Miriam Nicole it’s not been what she came here for but it has been a superb piece of fight rder Miriam Nicole D the line fourth place finen has only one Rider left at the top in order to survive here we go here we go last she ran right out of talent in the second Corner she’s been working on that mental game with a team there they’ve been working on her riding well within her limits and today that will be key if anyone can do it Valley Hulen and she’s in touch she’s in touch for a second off at split one Aaron she was fastest in both sessions yesterday she’s had highs and lows here she’s won rainbow Stripes here she also been down but this is looking good to me AR yeah she looks aggressive I was curious her team must have been radio yeah hits that rut coming out of there that was three seconds back from Farina elanora Farina can start to believe now on the hot seat is she going to win her first ever UCI D World Cup 162 beats per minute for Valley hall now Aaron what are you liking what you’re seeing so far from hle yeah it’s looking good we know she’s such a strong Rider has a tendency to go really fast at the bottom of these tracks so she’s definitely right there in touch but what a run from finina this is crazy to watch going to do here look at the set up is she going to go high she goes for the low this low is going to be the line CL real clever she’s got to handle the G out here and then she’s away she’s got two more ice rinks to go before she’s into the F Valentino Hall goes down heart rate 175 ft per minute but ho hits the deck in Le elenora farina’s eyes on stalks the YT mob washing machine will be taking a hideing later on this evening Valentina Hall heads down towards the line she’s 10.4 seconds back at the four split this one is not going to be hers but there are points up for grabs here where is Hall going to cross the line she crosses it in fifth so under the podium for Valley hle but Elora finina has won her first ever UCI down hill world cup en Le Val Hall can’t believe it finina TX Factory in France what a result well applauded by Valentino all as well great to see wow huge congratulations you’ve only gone and done it Elena finina You’ve Won your first World Cup and what a race to do it out what was it like out there wow was a a crazy one uh in my mind at the start when started raining I say a stay on your bike stay on your bike and make a clean down so so yeah after 10 years I can say I W my first workout is I’m so stuck and I mean it’s been such a journey for you who do you have to thank I mean it’s a whole team effort for sure all the team my family everyone involved I just say thank you to everyone I’m so happy enjoy celebrating well done thank you very much third Miriam the CO’s fourth Valentina Hall the series leader 24 seconds back in fifth then it’s Ferguson rasnik Gil Hoffman newerk running and cabaro Josh here the Sector 10 then seag that was a run wasn’t it just before it wasn’t that was a run yeah you can see elanora really capitalized on that sector four and sector five in those really icy conditions so here is what that does to the standings in Valentina Hall leads Away by 224 points ahead of SE kabaru Nicole Nina Hoffman ad new Kirk’s up there in si rasnik balanche yonet blue it
