The UCI Mountain Bike World Series unites mountain bike’s major formats under a single brand for the first time. The new UCI Mountain Bike World Series includes the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for Cross-country Olympic (XCO), Cross-country Short Track (XCC), Cross-country Marathon (XCM), Downhill (DHI), Enduro (EDR) and E-enduro (E-EDR).

oh it is giving me goosebumps to be back here home over last year’s double French Victory when Benard kouan got his first World Cup win and the whole Mountain Side erupted with home fans wanting to get a piece of their guy and to be honest it seems pretty set up for a French win today as well with Amry Pon looking incredible Lo bruny top of the overall last year’s winner Marin cabaro firing and of course Miriam nickoll back on the podium but let’s not get ahead of ourselves Le there is still plenty out there who could stop them start hot remains to see him at the top off the two lifts then into some slightly tweaked turns took Valley Haller a contention last season and then things get serious once it hits the tree line typical French D Hill course really widely tipped until it’s not slightly M section around the reservoir there and then tip back into one of the steepest parts of the track after that then they head out again across the past on a slightly reworked jump line before turning right and dropping into the famous finish bow absolutely no traction the track is hard packed from bacon in the last couple days the rain is just playing with us right now it rains for 5 minutes and stops and rains for 5 minutes so it creates basically what you’re seeing which is an ice ring with roots on it it’s uh this is so hard to figure out these types of conditions bike setup nothing’s really going to feel good here so this is a been survival in the women’s race as we just saw with a couple of really difficult sections to just even make it Downs unclipped the outside foot halfway around that corner he hit it that hard but hangs a foot off to make this Gap onto the grass Menard I tell you what this one’s been great to watch is good even for for a good run does man sense that there’s potentially that’s what saying he’s smart he’ll know he can put down here and gets a little help this you can’t see it at home but just started his head here we go Minard tips it in turns right is Minar fancy in a big old hot seat sit this afternoon why not first of the elite men’s finalist St the bottom Greg manard that one might just stand up you know here’s benak though interesting little thing he’s got a cover over his front disc there so maybe trying to get a bit of water well we saw ly bruny running them in Fort William and the reason that was given was it helps to control the temperature as a break a bit which gives it a bit more consistency of fi would make sense to me Kong the winner last time here in Le what is he going to do today 1.2 1.1 back excuse me at the first split it’s a good run here I mean the time is solid if he can uh survive this steep section at the bottom he’s he’s in touch Here for a Good result still yeah normally we use survive in sort of the dust there’s still dust just underneath it there so that is so difficult to manage you can see the Riders as they come into this section it starts early majority of the Riders who have crashed in this one steep SP but to go completely somewhere else kange disappointment for the man who really he became such an icon here last season he searched for that debut win for over 9 years and was juny gravity star not going to lie that looks horrendous at the top of the hill yeah this could be interesting Loris is such a tactician on the bike that if anybody’s got the skills to kind of be patient enough to pull this off FAS Faster by three FS of a second it’s the first time we’ve been able to say that all day long but for how long Lis Fier tucking into this one man if there’s anyone who could pull out a win it’d be great to see Loris pull out something special here today in France have to pay attention to that final g out rander into the Steep Shimano drop section got to get clipp back in here so he can get hard on the pad last place to pull a roll off on the rest of the track here try to clear the vision a of young talent to follow this man and stens mnav then we’re into the real business end of things but for now let’s enjoy L ver 3.3 back though so running wide has cost him a little bit of time but looking like he is still playing with his bike right there V yeah yeah he’s pushing it oh it’s all unraveling H missed the line on the inside there just as Josh Carlson the harbringer of Doom says it’s going wrong you can see it coming it started early got unsettled in that earlier section before the key bit and he just hasn’t looked the same since he lost that little spark of confidence and points on the line here there’s going to be a lot of guys here finishing further back in the results than what we are used to seeing so if you can kind of just make the most of a bad situation here could still be a pretty decent points day over some of your Rivals you’re next to he’s still on Pace for a Podium here for sure that is so committed to come out of that rut and Pull and get that backside we saw another Rider do that earlier in finals but man the risk to pull that off when it’s wet is definitely high but got to give it to him he’s going for it riding really well one of the most Rive rides in a long time was this guy in leoy for me oh there’s nothing to put your rattles the pool on the way by as we jump on board the live drone yeah making that inside look easy as well careful little foot dab but seems like he’s not losing too much time yeah look at the standing water this is what Greg was talking about earlier if it starts raining hard the track’s going to get a little better judging by the sides of these puddles it’s definitely looking wetter at the bottom here so that grip actually might be getting a little better really is 2.3 seconds faster than Manar now 2.3 seconds Andy C absolutely on a run here in Le this section absolutely crucial makx it through that first corner now he gets into the real steep really treacherous bits can he oh stays on L manages to make it R Andy cob through that section as clean as as anyone really has been out of luuka he’s kind of such a tactician he’s not the rider that usually is just going to completely like throw caution to the wind and hang it out so he’s having a really smart ride here but I his back heads out in Le s and dropped the Y and he’s within a second of Andy K’s time 8/10 of a second in touch knife or like bruny getting on the gas yeah he was saying as the lines were changing he was kind of having a hard time keeping up with it made a couple bad decisions was starting to kind of figure it out though and feel pretty good for Simi so this guy always has a tendency to kind of build for that one race run and and find a way to get the best out of himself was a little inside there but still made it work can he do this can he get another win in marketly different conditions let’s see what the next split says Aon yeah he’s going backwards just a little bit but this this just looks like a championship ride to me this is a really smart Rider hangs a foot off the bike get away from him 3.4 seconds back KN bruny maybe maybe as Aon says focusing on the points two UCI World Cup wins already this se he doesn’t like pretty close he usually pulls back a little bit of time on these types of sections so where is he going to be he’ll be in and Ro Troy Bron who he could well might be racing for the overall title L bruny comes down to the line amidst the flares six L bruny goes six behind Troy brosen specialized like what they see clap on Champions ride from L bruny satisfied with that one yeah so here on fourth in the UCI World Cup Downhill overall as this race got underway spent the first couple of races getting back up to speed again but put himself right back in the conversation with that win and Val Sol trentino last time out rocket him down through the top section he’s fast 410 of a second up goes super wide there yeah a little offline there but still recovered I was going to say this could be a huge run I would expect him to set the pace early and really go for it here the ruffen brothers watch almost a second split going to say 2.2 seconds faster for oh he’s on another one a bik race not a bike race here in Le Amory Pon Fan’s making it a double two wins back to back he’s daring to dream here on the soaking wet slopes of Le but still so much track left to play with so much more time to find but so much more scope for drama Aon as wellon has to now just play the percentages through this really difficult section oh man feet on feet on the time for Armory P we haven’t seen anybody not put a foot out there all day the C this is extending the cry goal absolutely wild4 seconds on a race that we fought Greg Minard had locked up right at the start of it armar Pon is putting on an absolute Clinic here in Le oh boy what does this mean for the rest of the season if he’s he’s just doing this every race now who has got an answer for Amory Pon in 2024 lloy bruny was satisfied with his six Place run it’s about to be blown out the pointing to the man who beat him saying he can’t believe what he’s managed to achieve Dakota Norton’s wait for his first UCI downhill World Cup win 15 seconds back at split 4 looks like it’s going to have to continue too many mistakes on a really really difficult track here in Le aaronw alongside me said it was the most difficult set of circumstances he’s ever seen at UCI daral World Cup Norton goes up the inside it won’t matter he crosses the line and goes ninth but Amory Pon says make mine a double Pon take it in the win in front of his home crowd in Le Amar Pon is Back The Invasion begins oh here we go we see this every year here and the French continue to dominate in Le the French cannot be stopped at home in Le Pon is being swept up amongst them Menard third place today for gregman
