all right love you bye he like right in the came and Mom sh like conrat cuz my dad doesn’t cry like that BR I could just s and couldn’t get us words out [Music] let’s talk rugby Scott Robertson will name his first all black side later today 32 man squad for the two tests against England and the one-off test against Fiji and San Diego I was relieved to get the job more than excited at the start probably more so than getting being told was telling somebody else that’s when I got the B of choked up and your mom driv me around every rby ground in the B plany growing up they were extremely proud you know like I’m a people’s person I I love the game I love coaching and I knew that I wanted to coach All Blacks after playing for the All Blacks how am I going to create a group be a part of a group um that goes and and does something special and a game that you love you know we got 14 tests this year and like I was talking we want to build squads that can be adapt and evolv and be Innovative you’ve got great people around you you got good sounding boards and look what I’m going to learn along the way I’d like to say you don’t you really learn until get your hands dirty do you Scott Robinson said the selection is the best part about being an all bles coach but you’ve got to get it right it’s a special moment for a number of these players who are going to find out for the first time they’re going to be an all black to to be very honest with you didn’t expect that it was an unknown number normally I don’t answer them I just let it ring until it goes but that’s one I was like I’m pretty I’m pretty sure and then I answered it put my English voice on it’s Tosi here and then he oh it was Ray on the other side he it’s Ray I was like yes that was kind of when I knew I made [Music] it your [Music] hair dreams are about to be made for 32 men that will wear the All Blacks Jersey and with that comes the huge responsibility of belonging to the greatest Club on Earth just going to take you through what today is going to look like out there do you want scooter walking out gracefully or running out ofam I’m going to say graceful I’m going to say graceful and don’t trip up the stairs WWE to me to talk to me how we feel pretty nervous actually he I’m proud to all that hard work to get here done now all the hard work to like be great while I’m here starts I have the great honor to announce the 32 men squad for the series against England here in altero in New Zealand and against Fiji in San Diego TJ pinata hurricanes Winnington yes sir let’s go [Music] Barrett Crusaders tanaki George captaining the orbs is a big responsibility and it’s a position that holds a lot of Manor and respect he’s technically astute he leads from the front and he’s got the respect to the players and the coaches I’d like to announce and congratulate Scott Barrett as the all back Captain what does it mean to you to be entrusted with the captaincy yeah I’m hugely honored and grateful for the opportunity to uh yeah Captain the old blacks and excited about uh what’s ahead and understand it’s a huge job and um yeah understand there’s a lot of pressure that goes with it but excited to see where this team’s going how you feeling after all that uh yeah no not too bad actually it’s not to say that I didn’t have nerves had a pretty intense walk bike session from Gilly that for coming here to sort of let the steam off and ease the nerves for to I guess getting to work and getting stuck in perfect man congrats that’s uh cheers thanks Don that’s you is the morning shift Mark we have some guests who do we have on the show today uh you may have heard of Scott Barrett C Reese and r s they ain’t on the show though they they are in studio and they will be arguing the greatest all black Squad North Ireland vers South Ireland this is where the magic this it man we’re at the morning shift I think we’re doing a podcast with the boys should be good here they gentlemen best debating skills have a bit of fun with it bring the energy all black himself Adia ladies and gentlemen and to my right the King of the South Side the South Island we call him the flash s good luck boys good luck not only do we have the two wonderful All Blacks sitting next to you boys I’ve actually got the captain himself who will be making the final decision Mr Scott Barrett okay you’re ready to roll here we go Boys in regards to Nines I made a statement to myself this morning around could possibly have some of the best Nines in the world in the coming World Cup soof about two or three of them statement TJ Ray what that looks like for us around his involvement coming back and all that I think that’ll be important to yeah handle that while around here we set him up to be awesome in this environment at this stage but there there’s no romance here for me TJ we’re doing what’s best for the All Blacks he’s ear his [Music] right TJ Panara who comes on for Aaron Smith oh he’s quick he’s a live wire as well I went to charge a kick down um marus Smith was taking a short at goal that’s scored like three late tries so I was just trying to stop him from getting it over and I just felt like a bang in the back of my leg and I knew damn I’ve done my yeah and this like emotion ran over me a man injured for the old black TJ Panara is suffering it looks in a lot of pain poor PLO I got a call on Sunday night from Razer and then he’s like bro need you to come down to crush it again tomorrow um for the the squad announcement very like this energy just rushed through [Music] me when we lost don’t bring that up come on man to know that I was going to be named for for this team that’s pretty P little chter thing he time piece here bro what I use mine for little line I stole from Shannon shop tell people how available my time I’m kidding I learned a lot about myself in that time I learned that I’m willing to work hard for such like small gains and I’m willing to give so much I’ve always backed myself for being a really hard worker but I don’t know if I knew that about myself how much I was actually willing to give Scot last time of the or played England TJ P suffered that long-term injury what have you made of the way he’s come back what I’ve seen is a man and a family been challenged had to show resilience in his dark moments he thought it was possibly over it’s a great story around what it is to want to play for your country standing you got a back track yeah yeah stand I don’t want the story to be told was oh he made it back to the All Blacks I want I want to write the story that man when he got back in the All Blacks he impacted winning and he was a great all black while he was in there what about Razer is is he taken to this job like a a bit of a duct to water s right Raaz Ray there’s a lot of color a lot of energy we’re really clear around what the boss wants uh he gives us great language and the boys are enjoying his energy he’s got very good captains SL Co captains around and they’re helping govern and lead the team now get up and out well done get out and get up Razer is someone we will follow they’ll come especially we get into it on S A little bit more live around the breakdown and stuff and a little bit more real but awesome awesome [Music] session expectation follows the all black everywhere do you think you get a the that follows this team so there’s been change in the group but there’ll be two things that never change it’s the Blackness of the jersey and The Silo so the expectation around representing our people as a nation is always there for the all backs and the players have made that really clear what they expect of each other also and they’re excited to do that though so an expectations yes but the perspective around that can be what about the excitement to perform and that’s where rise has taken us [Applause] [Applause]

    1. As a Crusader in Aussie, these clips always bring out my emotions. I can feel the Mana within this team, yes Together we walk, we walk as one no matter where you are in this world.

    2. I got all emotional watching this. Win, lose or draw, this team carries the dreams and aspirations of all New Zealanders. Even those who no longer live there.
PJ epitomises the very best of sporting performance. His return from serious injury and the very humble manner in his delight to be selected carries on the manager of the All Blacks. Remember Grat Batty playing with that knee brace or Colin Meads with the cast on his broken arm. They all represent the greatest sporting team in history.
      I am tearing up.

    3. TJ has skill, fire in his belly, resilience to bounce back and 80 AB caps to boot. Great addition to the AB's, so fun to watch him in action! So glad he is back in the squad. Go the AB's

    4. It honestly is heartbreaking to see TJ injured again after that unfortunate incident today, I was so saddened to see that happen live today. I pray that this injury doesn't rule him out for the All-Blacks season. He just managed to climb his way back in and his family all behind him as well. This guy deserves to carry on wearing the All-Black 9's jersey, he performed astounding today feeding quick balls, was so attentive and aware of the English defence. Their attack in the first half open a lot of opportunity to score on the other end. He has the 9's mindset on keeping the AB hot on attack, with how he controls the ball and his team. Keep your head up, TJ.
