They are good for what they are designed for, just like any other tire. It is a BMX tire.

They are fine, however they feel kinda mushy on tarmac. Gravelkings are superior on all surfaces, roll faster, and if you get the sk+ version, more pucture resistant.

They roll and look cool. Compound seems supple. I have them on my beach cruiser so no hard duties.
This is xbiking and we’re all knuckleheads. We like them just because they say “Billy Bonkers” on the side and that’s silly.

I think the biggest things they have going are tan/gum wall, 26, and in stock. Gravelkings have been out of stock for months (unless you buy direct).

What makes them good is that they come cheap for what they offer in terms if size/color/rolling.
Feel free to get something else. You don’t have to follow the flock

Price performance is great and I really like them as an all purpose tire. They’re fast and handle all kinds of gravel quite well. Rode mine over 140km a couple weeks ago through dry and wet conditions and was really impressed by the overall experience. They aren’t a miracle tire but solid and versatile

I got a lot of punctures with them when I had them a few years back. I’d go tubeless if you can (I used tubes with them).

Super good on asphalt, e.g. pump tracks.

the original ones had yellow sidewalls, 2.1’s and folding tires and they looked amazing brand new, also they faded nicely. the new ones are dark brown. wire bead and much cheaper, the billy bonkers letters are much much smaller and hard to see on the brown sidewall.

In a way, they’re good pavement tires perfect for cruising, and hence the evergreen in this subreddit.
In my part of the world, Maxxis sells the Pace tires for the local southeast Asian market, they’re very popular, perform great on packed dirt and pavement, last very long and much cheaper for any size MTB, including 26″ x 2.2.

It’s like having Jordan’s but on your bike 🚲
They look cool but no one cares that you have them.
But you like em so that all that matters

Tons of flats in my experience

They look good but are actually pretty shitty performing

I think it’s mostly the look and the price.
Other tires are better, I‘ve been told from various sides.
Can‘t judge that, bc. I never drove them.
