this is the camp Campground Le Violet perhaps Friday morning the 10th happy birthday Eric uh on our way North still in France going to the island where we will be biking until the rain pushes us away is that the fruit yeah okay think I’ll run in and um get some milk got some Pake mix okay do you want anything um no I don’t know where the car oh it’s right there all right I guess just go to the cing lot when you get done yeah cuz she’ll probably be done before me to France welcome to France no pay at the pump oh wow it’s still recording yeah so um for some reason uh you know there are places in Spain where you pay after you pump there are some places where you pay at the pump and we have had no problem but historically in France if um they require a signature on a credit card so for us foreigners you can’t pay at the pump because they want foreign signatures not that that would do any good I think in collecting but that’s their false sense of security so we’ll have to go to a Motorway stop leaving our Friday lunch stop on the a62 been a very nice road this morning we have 3 hours to go this guy in front of us just he wants to see how close to the guard rail he can get without leaving paint it’s got his stand out for what I don’t know way up H it was way up it’s quite a t Booth mhm no impr about it wow do we see breakes we sked now we got a ticket the bridge to the island where we’ll be riding our bikes for a couple of days trying to determine if there are people in I get I don’t know yeah yeah yeah oh yeah those are people do they have wet suits on okay remember the roundabout it’s coming up even kids first exit go left first exit left yeah have to exit to the right this does have a very cap May Delaware kind of feel to it just go all the way down to the end and make a left a left yeah it yeah I don’t know why it says a right but it’s on the map it says a left so it looks different than this map yeah guess that’s because there’s really no road so there’s a beach down there that’s really nice burn okay then at the end you’ll make the right careful the sand here yeah need it complete with wind so uh the island in France on the Atlantic we’re off for our first uh village bike ride this morning we have a l right yep so this does remind me a lot of uh Texel um just getting started we did our first roundabout uh walking the bikes was an adventure uh nobody’s really at all interested in uh stopping for cyclists so um be vigilant I guess and you know it’s May 11th and you’ll notice all the wild flowers in bloom and we’re uh you know probably 250 Mi south of Paris South South West and uh boy spring is just late in this part of the world compared to being home beautiful vineyards both sides of the road you know if roundabouts aren’t uh treacherous enough with a topheavy camper van it’s just I don’t know France and Italy you just take your your risks with other drivers everybody’s fast and uncaring oh good yeah wow you’ll notice on the pavement every so often is a road design ation and the bike lane symbol traffic flash mob for spee spee speech spee fore [Applause] do we know why we’re [Music] stopping why here why [Music] here okay all right [Music]
