in Lane one it’ll be Brendan Rodney the veteran has the Olympic standard he ran that last year in the Heats at the Canadian championships he would go on to finish second he competes out of onario Dwayne asota from speed Academy will be in lane two he has a personal best of 103 and that came back in May when he took a victory at the Bob vager classic he’s also run a wi AED 998 he is the third ranked in Canada in Lane three it is Jerome Blake The Olympian competed at the World Championships last year he was a member of Canada’s silver medal winning 4X 100 meter team at the Tokyo Olympics and the 23 World Championships he has the fifth best time of the country this year there is the five-time defending Canadian champion in this distance Aaron Brown currently sits 36th in the quota place when it comes to Olympic selection looking to run the Olympic standard here of 10 seconds Brown is a six-time Canadian Champion overall at this distance and there is Audrey degrass coming off a 10-second Olympic standard performance earlier this month he is a six- Time Olympic medalist he’s picked up two bronze medals in the 100 meters and he is looking for his first Canadian championship since 2017 he’s got three in the 100 met [Applause] overall in Lane number six it’ll be elizer a GB he’s representing C Athletics he ran a 998 earlier this season it wasn’t win legal though but it just wasn’t wi legal it was a two-point me per second Tailwind in Lane seven balade aabal he was a member of that 4X 100 meter team at the 2016 Rio games he was the 2023 60m indoor champ and on the outside it’ll be Norris Spike competing out of Ontario he ran 1030 in the Heats that 10:30 got him through on time time it is the final of the senior men’s 100 met it’s a quick start out of the blocks by Aaron Brown and late four degrass trying to get up to speed now it’s also a GB running very well at the line it’s going to beat de gras Aaron degras back on top in Canada his first Championship since 2017 he unseats Aaron Brown who’s won five [Applause] straight and they’ve given it to a Jeb right now it was close de grass is celebrating we’re going to have to wait for the replay on this one Kate a GB did have a sensational run but it looked to me at the line like it was to grass and celebrating like he has one not certain how to call this based on our results right now fantastic start by Brown unbelievably fast out of the blocks he’s been working on that for a long time look at the acceleration of both a GB and degrass degrass has it he has to have it across the line waiting on confirmation in the official results but my goodness water run de grass has said look I’ve been feeling like myself I’ve been trying to get back into my groove again sir your arms are up and you are back in that Groove what a run Brown and degrass side by side key members of this relay [Applause] team so I think they might be seeing what we’re seeing on the scoreboard that a GB was given the win but you saw in the replay that it was de grass so it might be a bit of a delayed reaction we already saw him celebrate like he won and I think we’ll see him celebrate again like that momentarily I was going to say he doesn’t look too concerned about it and if anyone watched the race then watch the replay it seems pretty clear what happened you know we I think you jinxed it we talked about the mess the great mess the Beautiful Mess of 2019 when we had to wait nearly five minutes for confirmation on the official results little clearer this time but some confusion at the line but look at the camaraderie amongst these wi Runners and now finally officially confirmed Andre degrass is your 2024 champion in the men’s 100 at the Bell trials he is going to Paris he is going in as the Victor for the first time like you said since 2017 it has been 8 years it has been nearly a full Olympic cycle since this man was at the top of the Canadian Podium and here he finds himself didn’t make the final last year had to settle as a semifinalist but comes away with the win by 3 hundreds of a second over elizer ajibi Brown takes a bronze his first not gold medal in five years so dig grass back on top of the podium in Canada with that 1020 he’s already got Olympic standard now he’s got top spot here at the 2024 Bell trials so he is off to Paris in the 100 meters a Jep a great run for the silver medal and Aaron Brown the five-time defending Champion coming into this will stay on the podium he’ll pick up the broads [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] Alicia Newman cleared 475 a top 10 performance in the world

    1. Congratulation to Andre but that time is so slow compare to the Jamaican, African and American winners. Hopefully he'll improve his time in time for Paris. The last place guy in Jamaica clocked 10.11 seconds

    2. What does the Olympic Standard mean? I would think standard means that is what you need to qualify as well, but as seen at previous Olympics the majority of sprinters are slower to way slower than the Standard, so why have one?
