think of today and what do you hope to achieve today uh well my goal today is to stay on for as long as possible we get dropped uh the course don’t be enough I think the hardest parts will probably be the initial burst up the hill but from then it seems manageable so uh main goal anyway true that’s good and have you many teammates with you today I’ve one one from challenge Brian broer his name he’s from challenge so just the two of us today we have Zach as well in the A3 race this morning he’s racing the junior race yesterday so do well to e today yeah hopefully okay hopefully like to wish you the best of luck sounds a good day first championships thank you I’m here with Michael gaml and he’s getting ready for the Irish national championships here in the T just going to ask Michel a couple of questions and just about the route and how he’ll do today and who would be the real favorites here today yeah so the route is kind of uh it’s undulating all day there’s the way that the wind is especially today there’s a Tailwind up the climb and a headwind on the kind of flatter or more downhill section so that means that it’ll kind of be a faster day race and and it’ll be kind of very aggressive so whoever wins it today will will deserve it I think the favorite is probably Eddie Dumar he’s flying in the time trial and you know he seems to be really out to win it this year so yeah he’ll be definitely the one to watch and uh yeah I just think it’ll be aggressive racing bodies all over the road but that’s that’s the way it should be for the Nationals and also in the under 23 which is the section that Jan yeah there’ll be a couple of favorites there that could actually do it today who would you think in the under 23s would be fairly yeah just there’s a lot of strong Lads that have been racing abroad a lot like uh Dean Harvey did a very good time tril um Adam raferty and Li O’Brien as well but there’s also lots of lads domestically as well that you know could put it up to them on their day so it’ll be wide open and it’ll be a good day for us yeah I think you’re right Michael you know there could be a couple of surprises today Ed D about definitely going to be the favorite after the time trial he was really outstanding and I think the course will suit him as well so m I wish you the best of luck today thanks very much and hopefully next time I see you you might have a national medal around you thanks very much I’m here at the Irish national championships and I have deers with me hello your name is Mark McGary mark mcar from dung S Club uh great Club in County Waterford some great members that have done well in stage of the of the Bost tton and also in the Championships big names came from Davin and I’m wi another big name here today so what are your expectations of the race today well today I think we’ll be heard we’ll be heard there’s a good few names few Pro Lads home so it’s going to be tough especially here just outside right along this finish R for about 5k I think it’s it’s fairly tough um long enough day 160 K so hopefully we see what we can do and take it from there uh under 23es as well could be another couple of names that could win today younger Lads like yourself you’d have a good chance today hopefully I’d like to hope so yeah and who else do you think would do well under 23 well under 23 Darren Ry is he’s actually moved up I don’t know if he’s if he’s uh competing for the 123s but his younger as well Adam RAF seemed to be very strong in the time tr day yeah um and there’s a a good few other names there too so Lan I’m dlin and we also have another man he’s just gone walking away and tell us about the race uh yeah it’s a 36 C 27 I know anyway but not racing yeah no was it and tell us about your own race Stitch of course you won well I won the T TR the crit but I just love wearing the colors and I’m out riding I suppose yeah just gives a bit more motivation while I’m out you know so yeah like it was up in where is it last year it was up in uh where was it last year it was up in Derry last year and it’s going to be in uh Gavin this year didn’t yeah we’ve already done the courses so it’s good like oh i’ probably see you down there cuz I spend a lot of time down don’t don’t um who would be your favorite for today’s race for not being Bo R say Ed C I said or will do good shot but like definitely yeah it suits the M yeah I think the course will also suit Ed d b as well cuz he did such a great ride and tday at the T Trail and you won it you did yeah so who would be your favorite rider for today probably Dumar or maybe ar ar R yeah all right that’s it’s great to see out sing enjoying the sport and you’re the future so the next time I interview you it could be at to all the friends thanks very cycling they can blow hot and cold and they had a good win a few weeks ago month ago so in the the sh Elliott Memorial classic he done well on that I was delighted to win it but today I was this is the national all the big the big names are here so I would hope we would do well and he’ll give it a good go anyway yeah all right okay that’s great it’s great to hear from his dad mcdan a lot of fav BMS in Dublin and uh just big companies all around the country so uh a lot of the biggest projects that are have gone up in the country or have gone up uh probably we probably had a fingerprint on them so it’s good now in Fair it’s great to come out here and and get back to the community we’ve been uh we’ve been looking to sponsor a big event like this for probably the bones of a year and uh this event was always year marked because we’re we have a company that’s full with Cycles so we’re uh we’re delighted now to get our our logos up in the stage and hopefully present the the prizes now
