I think we’re hitting the 20% now that was hard heads we’re going downhill Say It Don’t Spray it yeah I’m so sorry um thanks for that mate just it’s all food in look what Tom’s done to my CA coke look at that [Music] hi everyone so today this is exciting myself and Tom are going to be attempting Seven Hills over 2,000 M of elevation and I’m ticking off climbs from this book Simon war and cycling climbs of the southeast of England there’s 60 Hills in there and I’m attempting all 60 this year how many have I done H about 13 so today we Seven Hills over two counties although the hills are in one County but we need to go out of one and into another and over well over 2,000 M of elevation so that’s going to be fun right so watch if you want to be entertained and um wish me luck cuz this is going to be a toughy today I need to get these heels done quickly I’ve been leaving it and leaving it and leaving it and I know I’m going to be running out of time so I need to get these done anyway guys if if you’re new to the Channel please like comment and subscribe if you’re an existing viewer or sub please like comment and share as always and now I’m going to get going to do these climbs where are they you ask watch and you’ll find out in a bit [Music] right first Hill of the day it’s been a little bit hilly getting here isn’t it only a bit just a bit a lot of elevation I’m feeling it my old age I mean you had to walk girlfri from walk so sh don’t tell I did he’s lying right so the first Hill is brasted Hill it’s in brasted Kent um it’s 5 out of 10 also it was the venue for the very first UK National Hill clim Championship back in 1944 for all of you all of you Gearheads all you cycling buffins and it was won by Frank worn anyway so what we looking at and he did have di2 in 1944 yeah actually did it on a unicycle I think very impressive so this hits a maximum of 15% so 5 out of 10 should be all right shouldn’t it I we’ve done 15% already some of yeah yeah yeah we have we have and I might have walked up one because I stopped to wait for Tom and then I was just on an incline so I couldn’t really get going it was too steep anyway let’s get going brasted Hill wish us luck also I’m not going to I’m going to film it but I’m not going to keep slowing it down when I get to the top I tell you how hard it was in a bit [Music] guys okay so breasted Hill there’s like 300 M of 15 to 20% yeah so that that was tough don’t know five’s right no that’s at least the six the reason he put it at five is because it’s not massively long no it’s not short if it’s your first ride of the day probably quite easy yeah your last ride I’m glad that was our first one I’m glad i’ hate to have done that as our last one can you imagine it be hell wouldn’t it yeah if that was your last one that would probably be a seven or eight I reckon but we’re going to give it six six is that fair yeah right on to the next one I’ll see you guys in a bit [Music] [Applause] [Music] right second Hill York’s hill we just came down it to go up it hideous the road surface is hideous so it look like it’s going to be a good climb 6 out of 10 and near the Finish Line it’s a 20% gradient and coming down it you could feel it was steep but loads of like debris in the road so I’m not sure I think going up is fine not too much traffic so it should be good right Yorks Hill here we come [Music] I think we’re hitting the 20% now so definitely feels like a six out of 10 trying to change gear but I’m all out so wish me luck [Music] [Music] that is hideous that’s a grind proper grind 20% at the end that was hard that was hard going to catch our breath on to the next one here we [Applause] [Music] go busy road rodo is the next one I think it’s a five out of 10 I’m hoping it’s a bit easier cuz we’re we’re going to get some grub we’re going to get some energy after cuz we are exhausted right in a bit guys it’s a short Interruption I’m currently editing the video and I’ve realized that rodo and climb called X down didn’t film I’m not blaming the camera I think it was me so unfortunately I didn’t film those climbs I am going to put the stats up in the next bit and it’s a shame cuz X down is a beautiful climb so I might actually go back at some point and just film that as a one-off climb so it’s a bit annoying but there’s not much I can do Interruption over back to the video [Music] bye okay we stopped off a lovely lovely Cafe um at the game c p this is kind of currently where we’re residing and what have you gone for Tom sausage and egg forget very braid and you went for break so yeah so we’re going to Wolf down some food and get back to it yeah it’s a weird one today actually like running out of um running out of steam so we’re feeling it a little bit but it’s good and it was meant be sunny so I’m freezing as well but anyway look this is a what more could you ask for Tom’s found a lovely lovely sea in area oh but look that does look good to be there oh how is it Tom really good nice I always said the best thing is like a you know fresh crusty it is it’s actually decent did you think it wouldn’t be no comment it’s actually really good and the gos are Pleasant so this is definitely going give us some fuel is it suppos to be a sandwich between a bin and a neor room your second breakfast so this was the first time breasted Hill 5 out 10 what you giveing breasted give it a five manageable you know wasn’t too bad yeah we going downhill Say It Don’t Spray it yeah I’m so sorry um thanks for that mate we just it’s all food in this kids an animal right um yeah so Ys the next one that’s a 6 out of 10 what you giving yor to seven seven out of 10 oh eight that was that was hard eight I don’t think it was an eight I nearly just had to stop B hatch is harder than that weren’t at the end if we weren’t that close to the Finish i’ would have been like I can’t keep going okay I’m giving it a seven you’re giving it an eight yeah and then rodo think a rodo isn’t it Ral is it Ral what you what you guys reckon Ral or rodo it’s got to be rodo is row row rodo definitely sounds more Lord of the Rings it and that’s a 5 out 10 what you giving rodo then or Ral guys please comment Ral or rodo what you giv it class six it was a steady it was a steady 10 wasn’t it gradient so I would say I would say about five Simon Warren got that one about one I re next time it’s vgo Hill that’s the hardest one so we’ll see who’s got the minerals me or top that’s going to be this is going to be a killer 7 out of 10 that’s going to be hard we’re going to finish up V go Hill see you there [Music] we’re at vgo Hill 1.6k 7 out of 10 so we’re going to see just showed you did the scent very uh undulated very wet not really a nice surface so it’s going to really interesting one going up but this is the hardest one of the day so wish us luck this is nice though chots Cliff very quaint Village in Kent but we’re going to get going in a [Music] bit this is looking I don’t know if you guys can see this car um it’s looking very steep what you reckon 20 Tom okay this is getting a little bit hard now come on keep those legs moving [Music] [Music] we’ve just got to the top of vgo hill what you reckon out of 10 Seven’s right seven Yorks hard I found York’s harder we we think Yorks Hills harder but obviously this is long so yeah that was tough towards the end it just starts to get steeper and steeper and steeper but it is a long road as well you got to watch out cuz some there’s a few cars it wasn’t too bad on the way up but on The Descent earlier there’s a lot of cars so it’s not really the nicest clim to be honest in the beginning is all like there’s like a stream that you almost have to go through on the road so but yeah 7 out of 10 but we think Yorks Hill so far has been the hardest on to the next one what’s the next one Tom remember Burling Burling Hill is the next one off we go you found that all right Tom yeah managing cramp again yeah but wasn’t too bad you’ve stocked up on your electrolytes and stuff yeah doesn’t seem to be help very much might P lovely all right you enjoy it mate right guys we’re going to see you on the next one and uh starting to feel it now starting to feel it in a bit you okay there mate just massaging we’re at the S of Burling Hill Simon one gives it a six out of 10 so hopefully a bit easier than vgo it starts at state road so it’s a bit confusing how far is it it is no it’s over two isn’t it 2560 MK that’s why it’s probably a six and then so up and up set on a solid 10% slope The Climb goes on and on it’s hard claustrophobic struggle up a dirty and relentlessly steep you love dirty steep slopes just thr that Tom Right little kick yeah nice steady next K or so tension builds Shake It Off don’t don’t B burn any matches yet and then that’s when the proper fight to get to the top starts for another chaos and what we got to find some food after that or I don’t know I’m pretty find somewhere to cry right we’re going to get going honestly today is like almost like we’re riding in winter it’s June it’s dry and all of these roads are like full of water really really frustrating and a bit I don’t want to put a down on it cuz I’m sure it’s going to be brilliant but at the moment we’re a bit like we’re going to get back to it see you in a bit [Music] okay this is starting to get a little bit harder now trees are closing in but the sun has come out or it’s trying to come out so there’s a little bit of light [Music] nice little window there it’s a Burling Hill Tom what are we saying tough but steady yeah six is probably right six yeah there was no like pain moments get it up get it gone it was actually quite a nice climb really isn’t it it was actually that’s probably the nicest climb we’ve done yeah and it’s fairly picturesque but have a look not as wet and muddy as Simon war made about no so we have we have an audience we got two more Hills yeah two more Hills to do and 65 km to go with a bit of elevation on the way how you feeling right you falling up now are you what is that the Lotus one Lotus so good is it there right guys see you in a bit [Music] he [Music] he [Music] so as you’ve just seen Star Hill is the next One S War gives out five out of 10 beautiful climb to be fair have a look looks really really really nice there’s a long one again okay how many meters how uh well it’s 1,750 height gain is 107 M okay so not not massively fair about though Road bands R to the left unleash H Al leash hell yeah okay hosties begin he’s all about hostilities and fighting son he’s very hostile isn’t he bive no matter how much you’re suffering Endeavor to show No Pain by the time it Banks right you’ve reached the halfway point halfway point or halfway bank right there oh halfway point sorry yeah y attack the summit here’s the last stretch sounds like we’re going to race he wants us to race I don’t think we’re going to race this are you ready for this though yeah this is the last Hill last H Last Hill of the [Music] day star Hill done we’re giving that 5 out of 10 that’s the final hill we may stop somewhere for a little snack maybe not as exotic as the last place was classy as the last joint but we probably need a little bit of fuel so join us as we head home all right [Applause] [Applause] love [Music] [Music] [Music] so as you can see we don’t muck about do we no only the best will do for us so this is going to fuel this we got a chocolate brownie a Coke what have you gone for Coke bacon turnover fried eggs and Buzz never heard of them they’re not Haribo they’re some cheap alternative not for premium B not for premium B but for bug standard Tom not for premium rookie um so we’ve stopped off at a I don’t think it was dodgy but it’s like a one of those vans that’s on the side of the road that sells SAU everything sauce um but that was actually decent and we’ve got cut price harabo eggs called buzz on this and we’re nearly home so this is going to get us through but look what Tom’s done to my CA coke look at that and I know for a fact if that doesn’t open Tom is so tight there’s no way you’ll get me another L will you I’ve got passion me who says with six eggs hanging out of his mouth um guys it’s been good today thanks for today thanks for today sponsored by Buzz sponsored by Buzz [Music] right guys two counties Seven Hills 133 km 2,244 M of elevation that’s some climbing considering we did around you know 130k 2,240 M climbing is a lot and you fear it I think I was in so I was in the saddle for over 6 hours and I felt it I really did today I felt it weather was a bit poor in the morning bit gray and you start doing the hills and you like yeah this is fine this is fine but honestly it was killer I did plan to do 11 Hills today it would have bumped the kilometers up by around another 65 something like that we just didn’t have the legs it was honestly it was it was hard it was hard a lot climbing so the Seven Hills ticked off I think that’s 19 Hills complete out of 60 now so that’s not bad I’ve got another 41 to go and I’m going to go back to Kent because we’re going to do the other side Canterbury and the hills are closer to that way cuz there’s a couple around there Kent is a weird one roads weren’t good to be honest most of the roads were a bit torn up couple of the climbs were nice in terms of the views the surface the incline the length um but over I’m not I’m not overly impressed with Kent I have to say I don’t know if you guys ride there much but it’s a bit like anywhere I suppose in the UK at the moment the roads are just torn to bits in most places but I just felt that on Long stretches of a-roads in particular where there’s a lot of cars and you’re just left with craters is not good it really isn’t and they they you know maybe they don’t want cyclists there maybe that’s what it is but yeah I wasn’t impressed I’m going to put the route in the description today probably going to be on Kimo something like that and then you guys can have a little look overall it was still a good ride good company ended the day very warm so pretty happy with that and guys I hope you’ve enjoyed it I really do try to film as much as I could as well which is difficult sometimes ESP when you’re knacked on the way back you’re a bit like thank you for watching please like comment and subscribe and I’ll see you on the next one where maybe just maybe I’ll be taking off a few more Hills bye-bye

    1. Living in South East London close to Kent I often ride out that way and I do have to say the roads have definitely gotten worse over the last couple of years. I still put myself through it though, there's some nice places to ride there. Might have to give a couple of them climbs ago at some point.
