I was planning on cycling across Canada next May. I was looking at the Great Northern Bikepacking Route as it looks like there is a lot of fun, challenging off-road sections.

I have had a bit of a spanner in the works, however, as I have found out today that I will be made redundant. This isn't the end of the world – it just means that it would make more sense to do a long tripper sooner rather than later before searching for a new job.

I don't think that Candian route would be a good idea as it will be getting pretty cold from September onwards. What other routes would people recommend? Off the top of my head I'm thinking of starting in central/south america and making my way down to Patagonia for November-time when it would hopefully be warmer.
