The Ultimate PYRENEES Motorcycle Adventure: Discovering France and Pyrenees | Full Movie

Together with my son Steven and friends JanPaul and Dennis we do a 9 days ROADTRIP by MOTORCYCLE, driving across the beautiful FRANCE landscapes like the VOSGES and the JURA, going across the stunning MOUNT VENTOUX towards CARPENTRAS. From here we drive to ANDORRA and the SPANISH PYRENEES and there we spend 3 days to drive around. Finally we drive back through the French Pyrenees, passing LOURDES to end up in CAHORS, to prepare for the last stretch going home.

Steven and Dennis first drove to ANNECY with a car having their MOTORCYCLES strapped on a trailer. In Annecy JanPaul and I met them there and then we continued riding together. In the Pyrenees we stayed in hotels in PRULLANS, ERILL LA VALL and JACA. Back to FRANCE we visited the amazing CANFRANC train station which now has been turned into an expensive hotel.

During the entire trip I was able to make beautiful DRONE shots too.

I thought, it is still closed , but…. Goodday sir. How are you doing? Good! Haven’t seen you for a long time That’s correct. Don’t have the time. No time? But now I have I see. Take a seat somewhere We are going to do that Let’s see. These are familiar roads for us. Last year we did the same Then we came from the other side. Now we are going up. I pointed towards a restaurant at the right side of the road. We had a drink there Can we stop here? Yes, we can! It’s raining! Not from the skye but from the rocks! I am not so much speeding as you do! You are absolutely right about it! Look what a view! Look what a view! You don’t have that on highway A13 Oh… well…. highway A20 then maybe? Yes. The landscape is really bizarre Really bizarre Yes, it’s cold up here! It’s nice here! Really nice! Look what a stunning view we have here! This view is quite rare Everybody stops here to look around. Look at that Dennis! This is really it. Yes, it is Wow. We can look around for miles because it is a very clear sky I don’t know where you are Steven! Do I need to go down? Oh… to that restaurant. Okay! Stunning. Yeah… here we are again Rough and empty! The skye is very clear now. Same as last year. You can look around for hundreds of kilometers I have the pictures from previous year, so…… It remains a weird landscape, this mountain Did we have to pay something still! Yes. Sometimes there are local taxes to pay We have a lot of friends here. Everyone is waving Yes. Everybody knows everybode here I stopped waving because what’s the use of it? Let’s pull on the rain gear This jacket is not water resistent Oh what do I enjoy everything now This is the difficulty all those bikers have for years with conflicting navigation systems. One use TomTom, another use Garmin, a 3rd use something else And all these apps and applications use their own maps, each have there own algorythm with there own rules The only way to come across it in a useful way is everybody is using the same tracks so no routes but tracks instead That is also possible, but even that is no guarantee The only way everyone is riding the same roads is using tracks because tracks are based on GPS-coordinates only Steven, I think if we later on reaching the Spanish border, we will see that same large field of grass having those benches and trees with that view of the valley We stopped there last year to look around Yeah. I think we are going to see the same spot as last year Yeah, I think so too Indeed. I think you are right about it. I even think I simply copied the route from last year Okay. I am going to park the bike in the upcoming corner Yeah. Here. This is a nice spot to park the bike Then I can shut down the cameras A bit further. Otherwise I am standing exactly in the bend Yeah. Indeed. I close the camera’s. Otherwise you continue I have arrived Great! Wow. This is really beautiful. Look what a building! Stunning! On old train has been put down here Yeah. A really impressive piece of work France. Yep The French Pyrenees And we are going down again One large piece of commercial bullshit here I am leaving. JanPaul has left already I am leaving… Cahors Going home 1024 kilometers. A 10 hour drive when I am going to do this in one stroke I have not decided yet A couple of minutes past 9. Nice time! ETA: 19:15 hours in the evening If I don’t do any breaks But that’s something everybody does, normally This is a very bad road. But they are already start renovating it Just drive! It is not that difficult! With your Citroën! Another car can squeeze through easily! Yeah. Come on lady! I am going to pass Okay? Yeah….. this is the good one!
