After spending a night in the hotel to get all of our stuff dry, Nala and I got back on the road to continue our journey. While we were having a quick wee break in a field, a man started talking to us and invited us to come back to his for a coffee and offered us to camp in his garden or more precisely his decking – with that view we couldn’t say no 😻

We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet – but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. So feel free to tag along if you’re interested in following our journey and adventures around the globe ❤️

    1. Thank you, Dean for taking us along on your canoe down the Danube River.
This is the first and probably the only time I will see it.

My mother in law was born in Hungry, on the Pest side of the Danube River of Budapest.
He maiden name was Pest of Budapest, Hungary.

Her parents and her 11 siblings escaped the soldiers while hiding under a bridge and finally made it to this country legally and we're finally safe.

She and her siblings never returned even for a visit. They all spoke Magyar. I learned only a few phrases.
All that happened over 100 years ago when she as an infant and her parents and siblings hid under that bridge that horrifying night they escaped.

So glad that country is not what it used to be under that evil regime.

Love to you and to precious Nala.
What a beautiful, safe place to set up your tent and sleep.
What a hospitable man you met. I am grateful for him to allow you to enjoy his amenities while he was away.
      ❣️🥰❣️

    2. Dean, and Nala,
I discovered your channel a few days ago, and have watched hours and hours of your adventures together.
I have laughed, cried, and been taken out of my world and into yours with gratitude, delight and amazement.
I rescued and rehibilitate mostly horses.
I had a vision of you and Nala in another lifetime, where you were a warrior and Nala was your faithful Warhorse. You made her a promise as she layed dieing on a battlefield, that next lifetime you would take her on journeys baring her weight, not her baring yours, protecting her and that your love would move mountains for her, and indeed it has
Your soulmates and no doubt a magical bond that lights up anyplace you both go. Together your are healing the world with love, as you know both know peace creates peace, and war creates war.
God Bless you both and thank you for sharing this incredible journey with us
Much, much Love, and with all my heart Thank you both. Erika

    3. 3:06 THIS is what I love about the world. Two men from different countries who don't speak each other's language yet they held a conversation where each understood the other perfectly. I love this so much. Dean and Nala really are ambassadors to the world for the world. Just a big Scottish guy and a small Bosnian cat sharing their lives together as they cycle all over Europe. They don't really own each other more than that they simply share their lives together, you know?

Had to edit to add….those of us here in the United States, can you honestly imagine meeting a stranger on the side of the road who invites you to their home for coffee and actually accepting that cup of coffee not knowing ANYTHING about them? Honestly? I wouldn't do it here in the States. We aren't that trusting of each other nor are we all that trustworthy overall, in my not humble at all opinion, and THAT is sad. It really is sad. We could be better than we are.
