playing for England is an enjoyable feeling but it’s also a lot of pressure you hear people talk a lot of rubbish and you know it’s nice that when you deliver um you can give them a little bit back you know it’s very difficult in press conferences and interviews and things like that to um to talk as openly as as footballers want to because they’re always judged and um for me football and being on the pitch scoring goals celebrating is my release and you know was maybe a message to a few people but very happy moment and full of adrenaline I I um is that the best goal of your career uh probably yeah it’s got to be in it’s got to be up there anyway um there’s a few nice ones you know ones that mean a lot to me personally like my first goal for Birmingham um dortman Madrid they’re always special ones but um yeah I think it’s one that’s that’s right up there you know it’s so important in terms of today and the mood change if it doesn’t happen so I think that um yeah it’s uh it’s definitely up there does a a comeback like that and the feeling you get from it can that really be a moment that sort of kick starts the rest of the tournament for you now yeah definitely I think um besides their goal I thought we were pretty good to be honest we had a lot of control we got into really good areas we were dangerous I think we we still had one or two moments where we could be a little bit more clinical but in general I thought it was a good performance from us um and obviously the main thing that we done was show character uh and that’s something that you know I think in the qualifying games it’s difficult to rep replicate because um the opposition sometimes are of a different level and they come to Wembley with a different style for example and and also there’s a lot of chances to redeem it if you don’t get a great result but I think in knockout football when you can produce a moment like that and everyone kind of looks around at each other and realizes well that’s the spirit we actually have got in that team um it can help a lot but also you don’t um experience things like that if you don’t have the adversity of the two draws if you don’t have the adversity of going one nil down so yeah it’s brilliant because it shows a reaction two more you he mentioned about the rubbish for a couple of times there just wondering what you meant by that and whether it’s annoyed you or what what exactly has annoyed you I think you know what I mean by the rubbish you know I think like I said playing for England it’s it should be one of the the most proud things of footballers career but often at times it is quite difficult you know there’s a really high intense uh pressure you know the the fans expect a lot from us um regardless of kind of what happens in recent tournaments um years and years ago um so people talk a lot and you know I think you do have to take it personally a little bit you know we work so hard at this game we we we come in and we train every day so hard to try and put on performances for the fans and sometimes it doesn’t go well and sometimes feels like there’s a there’s a bit of a py on and uh it’s not nice to hear but you can always use it and for moments like that it’s um it’s nice to kind of throw it back to some people I suppose Jude you said it was probably the best goal of your career but in terms of moments that you’ve had spontaneous moments where does it where does it rank um it’s got to be up there again you know I think it’s 30 20 seconds until we’re out of the European championship and like I said the the the mood in comparison to now that it would have been is is a massive difference you know and what it can do for the team going forward so I think it’s hard to deny that it was one of the most important um kind of moments of my career so far and yeah um we’ll see though it’s still a long tournament and it’s only really um very important if we go on to win the cup so uh yeah we’ll decide in the next two weeks how important is

    1. Unfortunately, I believe Bellingham is feeling upset that fans are attacking individual players. That isn’t the case. Yes, I understand you’re part of a team & teams should be seen as one unit; however, I really have no qualms with individual performances bar maybe one or two. I can’t even say how much freedom each individual has on the pitch, & to which positions they’re forced to play in, as this could easily be a cause for a performance lacking in confidence & ability, rather than what looks like to the spectator as laziness/hesitancy. We are of course not criticising the players, (at least I’m not) We are again criticising Southgate. Don’t get me wrong; I’ve said this & will continue to do so: Southgate has been brilliant at making the players feel valued & feel the importance of international football, whereas before, it was just about the champions league for most big, England players. I think he is a man with a great set of morals, & has been great at building the confidence of many young players & always takes full responsibility for his results, I respect him alot for that & in one way I want to see him succeed to prove us all wrong. On the other hand, I was actually hoping we’d be dumped out early, (& still wouldn’t mind) because It will be a lot of great England players’ last shot at the next World Cup, & imagine how our chances will go up 10 fold if we get a manager who has great personal management, as well as very sound tactics with balls to carry on attacking big sides like Italy/France even when we’re a goal or two up. It is logical to play low-risk in most situations; that Italy final was not a match to play low risk against an ageing, experienced Italian team. If we’d gone from the outset with pace & 4 at the back; I believe we could’ve won by end of 90’’ without breaking a sweat.

    2. He's right you hear people talk alot of rubbish…you also see footballers play alot of rubbish…you wouldn't think they're on millions of pounds a year…lads and dads springs to mind…never mind there's always next time to see more rubbish…sorry football

    3. What is he talking about? They didn't deliver they barely got over the line. There is no talent in that team, I don't care what anybody says. Where are the Hoddles, the Le Tissuers, the Gaza's, the Platts? Seriously one of the worse sides to represent England.

    4. 100% AGREE 👍 They are human , respect them please 🙏sometime going good or bad performance it's normal 🙏 people can complain if they do something bad about attitude or if do criminal doing 🙏 respect them not pushing or bad criticism 🙏 thank you

    5. The criticism is sorta deserved.
The money in england football, population to choose from, premier league etc.they are overated and have underachieved.yet its always coming home lol.
Play quicker with more intent would help watching england is boring as hell

    6. Wish our players could just ignore these keyboard warriors. It's okay to be critical, but honestly where is the positivity towards our team and encouragement for our players!? Why does everyone blabber on the way they do, nobody cares about your unhelpful opinions, get behind your team!

    7. It doesn’t go well because your manager hasn’t got a clue I so want us to win but not playing like this I don’t it’s utter shites we’ve got the easiest route to the final I’m sick of seeing us playing one touch football in our quarter with the goalie I’m not looking forward to the next match at all put us out our foooking misery please

    8. We can't keep having 75% possession, mainly in our own half and producing limited, if nothing, in front of goal… "US" Fans are frustrated as our players are world class! Best pfl, best young player, top goal scorer bundesliga, champions league winner, all my years watching Rice never giving the ball away this set up has made him look average…anyway, I'm mentally debunked after watching Maradona ruin us, plus euro 96!

    9. These entitled rich kids think they're beyond criticism, Apart from his two goals he been bang average like so many, Although the blame for that also lies with Southgate. Prepare for one change in the quarters and that's a forced change.

    10. Jude Bellinghma keeps stating " people saying", "there is talk of", he needs to be banned from using social media while at the tourno, its clearly affecting him and others. Ban it like you ban drugs and alcohol at tourno's

    11. If an entire nation is "talking rubbish" it probably isn't rubbish Jude.
Don't know where these people get the idea they can be paid hundreds of thousands a week and be immune to criticism.
This fella needs to stay in his lane or he loses the respect of the nation

    12. Lol….Played shite for 3 games and 94 minutes and complains about criticism….sums up the offended generation perfectly !
