I was going to do 50 hour service on the rear shock on my Trek Powerfly lt 7 2019. While unscrewing the bolts, the bolts were stuck in the bearing/hardware in the frame. Because of that, the unscrewing pushed the frame away from the shock and all off a sudden the rocker link/frame snapped in two exactly in the middle of the weld and it’s a lean cut. I’m unsure what to do. I put everything back in its place and tried riding it and everything seems to be working as normal. I looked up rocker links online and I see that e.g the Scott ransom has a rocker link that is not welded together like the Trek one is. It’s two separate parts, like mine is now that it is snapped. I’m thinking that as long as the rocker is mounted into the frame and the rear shock, in four different places it should still be rideable. Should I replace the rocker link or continue riding it?
