T Pacha throws a hay maker could yonas vingard respond Howard rco and Rit look on their steep finish to around bologna starting in chzo this is the S Luca climb 2k’s 10% very steep in sections and there’s some medium mountains oh not even more Punchy Hills beforehand overall an easier stage than yesterday but a harder finish and the climb is closer to the Finish meaning we would likely see GC action rco looking relaxed at the start how would DSM play it could they keep the yellow Jersey that was surely their goal for the stage vingard also looking relaxed but Israel Premier Tech they wanted to be in the break they eventually got in with o but it was a strong break just like yesterday paser loros o Oliva Kevin vcan who was second in flesh wone abrahamson the truck in km and it was blocked up in the Pelon DSM happy the closest gone GC was 15 minutes so they could basically let this really strong break of 11 go Peg it at 8 minutes hope that b a could stay in yellow because UA might not try anything and they weren’t going to control for the stage UA somewhat surprisingly given there were extra bonus seconds actually available on top of San LCA so really good from DSM maybe it would work out and the Breakaway was smart too they got eight minutes they didn’t try and get more than that they rode together as a group on these climbs the better climbers didn’t try and get rid of the rulers like turnis or Oliva and the Pon actually went much faster than the Breakaway on those climbs you see the Gap is down to 6 minutes 30 after a couple of those Hills but then the the Breakaway regroups and they just start rolling through and off quickly again uh keeping those rulers in the group for as long as possible but the nervousness in the pelaton before the intermediate Sprint brought it down below 6 minutes then a funny crash happens we see behind the decathlon Riders next to the EF Rider I think it’s Jorgenson who goes down and then behind the other cathon Rider vanard had his wheel on the wrong side and doesn’t realize people are breaking and moving to the other side and he goes down as well so one of those nothing crashes at the back of the Pelon Lawrence the PLO also went down it seems the hardest actually vanard with his bibs torn up on the right says he’s okay Jorgenson needing some running repairs to the right elbow from the medical car not what you want before a big test on two repetitions of s LCA UAE andos went to the front and calmed things down and that really meant the breaker was going to win it was below 6 minutes before that kafuffle and then it went to 9 minutes again and it was fully Advantage Breakaway before vo snor went to the front camper Arts seeing Vanden Brook CH struggling and having van Hills wearing the white jersey on loan from ven Brook perhaps Lotto sensed an opportunity to put van Hills into the white jersey certainly they weren’t really going for the break for the St stage because yeah they didn’t Pace to keep the Breakaway in check at all before then they were just trying to position van Hills which they did a really good job of first rep of San LCA break away apart from a dig from paser then loss with some some French Verve they mainly stay together bote also Paces you see him in front of jensson and vingard pagat to the left of Van Hills not his teammate almaida uh remco’s there as well as Carlos Rodriguez and caraz but Pacha scares everybody he moves to fr gets out of the saddle is he going on first s LCA where’s he going he’s going to get a drink relax everybody he’s just getting some sustenance no need to be on his wheel glued there Jorgenson gets to the front shuts things down there’s like a false Summit 1K 5% climb here where they everyone really knocks it off and the Breakaway gets another 30 seconds back actually because they start working in the valley pretty well together until the rulers decide to fuger DEA fuger Oliva turnis and O they know they can’t go to the finish with the likes of Rodriguez of voan but here’s the problem for everybody arare have got two Rodriguez just shut down the touris and move with ul and laurance laurance is isolated one of the best riders in the group voala comes back in the wheels behind without accelerating and paser who’s isolated he had to close that Gap himself vocala uses the momentum bang jumps across to Nelson Oliva abrahamson did the same thing and that’s the the beauty of numbers pase and laurance didn’t have that vocal timed it perfectly ARA tactically perfect with two in the Breakaway and those guys are gone abrahamson Oliva pull full and then vocal as I said he’s not an average puncher he is a big Prospect 23y old French Rider in IA good TT as well he drops Oliva and abrahamson and he’s going clear and the Pelon only is four minutes behind as they enter the last and Luca bote pacing and that’s the thing Vima this weekend they won the positioning fight so Yates has do a big effort to even move up almea is deep in the group rogl entered in I think quite deep position Thomas dropped but then when Bono pulls off vinger guard flicks pogy through pogy says no jensson initially goes the front but Adam jates is uh he wants to set a a hard of tempo carass drives to take vard’s wheel from Pat you know that’s never happening and vlasov is looking back Mar is looking good in the wheel van Hills moves up as well but vocar crosses that km Point first whilst with 1K to go on the clock jates is absolutely smashing it splits everywhere he’s like the third best fourth best GC climber in the world that worst out of8 and look at the Carnage you’ve got Rodriguez dropped rogich dropped actually he’s behind Chone and vlasov with Simon Felipe Yates and a USO in his wheel gear martan actually doing very well and it’s a very small group of only seven or eight riders that can withstand the pacing of Adam Yates but it levels off pogy hadn’t jumped until bang on the flatter section into the chicane under the archway tried to take vingard by surprise and then it kicks up again 67% on this section and pagat goes all in to the top with a huge attack and in the space of only about 500 M he takes 10 15 seconds on aole and much much more on the others but the big news yis finger guard could withstand patcha on his terrain are you actually finished quite well on Simon Yates wheel but rco and Carz are somewhere off camera ahead of them so big gaps for such a five minute climb already Bernal and Rodriguez struggling a bit but could vinger God or would Ving God relay he never usually does with Pacha and eventually they’re disgusting and Pacha says why don’t you go to the front go to the front then UAE they’re not going to chase their teammate ahead Bora pacing but not really vov looking to see if RIT is in the group eventually inos come to the front and start really chasing for caros Rodriguez whilst the two strongest Riders it looks like in the race were chopping off ahead a a Paul eventually comes back but don’t forget our vocala big stage win for the Frenchmen and ARA BNB hotels remember his name for future years but luckily for Remco even though he didn’t get any help from caraz According to himself vingard refused to relay with pagat in the final kilometer meaning rco was caught but big gaps behind and the first GC maybe not Haymakers landed but Jabs thrown and a few people catching them on the chin in this stage but Kevin vocar wins head of jonis abrahamson quantum paser Christian Rodriguez tahar Olivera laurance turnis and O caras actually first of the GC Riders but in terms of the yellow Jersey Pacha goes into it on stage placement ahead of a Varden caraz all in the same time van Hills Bernell Pig coock most of the second TI GC guys are all on 21 second but I hope you enjoyed the video we got our first real sprint stage tomorrow the sprinters will be happy with that after such a horrible start for them Phillipson can he beat cavish grown of vegan it should be pretty exciting I’ll see with the recap then ciao

    1. Aside from the GC interest it's great to see two big rides from two debutantes in two stages. Glad someone could stick to Pog's wheel this year, albeit over a short distance.

    2. I was shocked when the commentators said "Mathieu van der Poel has been dropped" and when the cameras look back at him he does seem to be struggling. Great stage 2 nonetheless!

    3. If they have the exact same time, how does Pogachar get the yellow? Just curious about how the rules work in this situation.

    4. I thought it quite revealing that G, who finished 3rd in the Giro, lost almost 4 1/2 minutes to the Pog group. Perhaps he is still feeling the effects of the Giro, perhaps he is riding more as a domestique here, but it also showed the difference in the level of competition between the two races.

    5. The recovery of jonas is amazing.. Out of this world.. Horrible crash that might have killed a normal person, No race for three months and he goes boom in from the start..little fishy

    6. Teams buses after this: Visma over the moon! Bora very quiet not a total disaster but not good.UAE shocked. The UAE boys who dominated Tour of Swiss nowhere! Jonas onto Tadej like a rash and this stage not his stomping ground. We will know more after stage 4.

    7. Haha! So happy you popped up on my homepage!
Last year's tour I was watching in West Australia 🇦🇺 as
      Black n Tan.
I'm back in the uk and have a Chocolate Doberman now.
      Good work sir!

    8. Vingegaard not in his best shape yet, but enough to follow Pogs in Pogs terrain and take the lead sometimes.

    9. Strong ride by Remco. Supposedly Pog sat up before the line to try and let a gap go so that he wouldn't have to do all the podium work with yellow.

    10. Anyone who thinks Ving isn't strong is kidding themselves. Classic psychology tactics indicating that Ving is trying to be 'competitive' and underselling the strength of this visma squad… We've got a race this year
