Gareth Southgate’s team was on the brink of an early exit following a lackluster performance, trailing after 25 minutes and failing to register a single shot on target until the 95th minute.
However, Bellingham’s acrobatic effort in the dying moments provided England with a crucial lifeline. Their second shot on target came just seconds into extra time when substitute Eberechi Eze’s attempt found fellow replacement Ivan Toney, whose looping effort fell to Kane.
England will face Switzerland in the quarterfinals next Saturday.
