I try hiring an electric bike on holiday? I ride round the coast in Mallorca to a beautiful beach resort and ride through beautiful countryside and up and down some hills. I share my thoughts on e bikes and whether it is worth hiring an electric bike.

hello and welcome well today as you can probably see I’m on an electric bike and I’m asking the question is it worth hiring an electric bike I’m in Majorca I’m going around the coast to a beautiful beach I’ll let you know what I think about electric bikes it’s effortless on this thing you do turn the pedals and feel like your your legs are super strength I’m just keeping the power on two so I’m not really using much power comfortable 20 kilometers an hour which is fine here we go down to the Sea [Music] look at this beautiful place [Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] absolutely beautiful there are some beautiful places on this planet aren’t there just got to find them out didn’t be this way it’s a good thing I like about electric bikes is you can just ride it as a normal bike so I’ve taken all the power off here as you can see it’s on zero they haven’t got electric bikes and I’m just going down the hill as normal and he’s still got some good speed the thing I love about them is the fact that growing up this steep hill now and it’s effortless otherwise I’ll definitely be walking up this hill whilst the super cyclists in order racing gear can overtake you on the flat you get your chance to catch him up going up the next Hill catching them up well almost catching up anyway [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] should you hire an electric bike 30 Euros for three hours so it’s well recommended try an electric bike when you go on holiday just for a couple of hours or whatever get a feel for it it’s so much easier than just cycling a normal bike you can go up the hills you can I don’t feel really exhausted now my knees aren’t aching so I thoroughly recommend it and why don’t you try it you don’t have to buy electric bike hire one first if I bought one I’m not sure if I’d use it enough to be honest but um definitely try before you buy really recommend it especially on holiday you can see some different areas perhaps you wouldn’t see so I hope you enjoyed this one and uh from Majorca I’ll say goodbye and I’ll see you on the next one bye for now okay 21k and what is that taking time so cycling time one hour eight and you did around 80 kilometers per hour per hour [Music]

  1. Great video Richard. You timed your trip to Mallorca perfectly for sunshine. Thunderstorms, lightning and torrential rain this week in our area. Benidorm had really bad floods. Just watched Benidorm by Ana and Benidorm Stuff on You Tube showing the flooding there.

  2. You know, being abroad a few times that is the one big thing I missed, having to pay out cash for various modes if transport and walking distances I never need to do at home. Can imagine folk getting caught out on battery life though and having to pedal back, and punctures, what happens there?

  3. agree 100% renting is a great way to see if they are for you or not, and like you, do it while on holiday, make a whole activity out of it! Did exactly that last year and never looked back. Love mine!

  4. Beautiful Video Richard. I am considering an e bike, it would be great where we live with the hills. Kent Survival has started an e bike channel. The Director and I are finally heading to Malta on Thursday. Cheers Mate!

  5. I bought a Himiway Cruiser to get me out in the hammock more. Loaded it up as a cargo bike and it's opened hammock camping up for me no end. I'm now getting to places I'd usually struggle with and finding a new pitch is now a doddle compared to before. I live in Bromley, Kent and it's nice to be able to try out new places and recce a few possible new places, without getting there exhausted and in pain
