Hi, there! I’m Sandra with Brew City Thrifts. I find my treasures at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales, yard sales, and flea markets in the Milwaukee region and sell them on eBay and Amazon Marketplace. I love thrifting because it combines my interests in arts & crafts, history, and recycling/up-cycling.

I’m here at the Wauwatosa Goodwill west of Milwaukee on a Monday after work. Will I get lucky? I find: a vintage wood and brass handmade triple candle holder, a vintage Coynes & Co. soft sculpture cat, a boxed Nambe silver metal reindeer ornament, a Dunoon “Nectar” mug by Jane Fern, a Richard Bramble for Jersey Pottery mug, two fused glass plates, a hand-thrown and signed pottery bowl, and a Dean Crouser dragonfly mug. My favorite finds were a red, white, and blue Frankoma thunderbird salad plate set, and a Limoges pink roses soup tureen by M Redon.

hi there it’s Sandra with Brew City thrifts and today I’m at the Goodwill of wossa which is west of Milwaukee and it is a Monday after work and not always the luckiest day but let’s get in there let’s see what we can find let’s hit it I guess I decided to start in the mugs today which is a little bit unusual for me cuz I usually actually just skip them over but today I’m in the mugs section right away and the first thing I noticed is this little hand painted um it’s almost like a Stein mini Stein so I look at it briefly and then I noticed this this is like a horn style mug it’s you know something somebody might get at Medieval times I’ve sold one before but I don’t pause too long there then I noticed this mug it has a pretty dragonfly painting on it it is a DE krower mug and I that name was familiar to me so I decided to put it in my cart and look it up and I go back to look at this Ray dun mug this is an elf mug with a wooden lid they’re asking $3.99 rayun does not sell very well for me anymore next to it though I see this mug this is another uh designer mug I decided to look it up as well so I put it in my cart and I’m starting out with a couple mugs here I’m among the plates I noticed this Warren Kimble plate it is kind of beat up though so I put it back I don’t think those have I’ve not picked them up in the past I think they seem to be all over eBay so I just took a quick look and then I noticed another signed plate this one was just decorative only underneath it I was really excited to see this plate turning it over it is fits and floyed as I suspected and I put it in my cart thinking this is going to be a great pick up two pomegranate plates by Fitz and Floyd but you always have to look for chips with Fitz and Floyd items and then I start to notice there are all kinds of flea bites and little Nicks and chips all over the raised pomegranate details these are so pretty and the chips are small but there’s too many of them they’re kind of everywhere all over the plates which makes sense if you’re stacking a plate like this it’s going to probably get chipped so unfortunately even though these are fits and Floyd and very interesting I have to put them back on the Shelf here in the cookware the first thing I noticed is this set of nesting bowls there’s just two of them I thought the pattern on this looked vintage I was going to guess 1930s that was a nice set there were only two so I move on this is a vintage Fire King milk glass casserole with a lid and back here I noticed this little bowl it looks handmade it’s got an interesting punch Circle rim on it definitely hand thrown and on the bottom you see that it is signed I think this is a very useful flexible kind of serving bowl and the fact that it’s handmade makes it Prime so it goes in my cart this store was set up for some major Christmas in July it had six different sections I think full of Christmas stuff I don’t spend a lot of time in the Christmas section but today I was just kind of glancing at some of the things it had I was looking at that plate back there again maybe another fits of Floyd was my thought but then I noticed this box and I pulled it out it is a namb metal reindeer and it’s in its box those do go for pretty good Mone I recognized the namb name and I put it in my cart I noticed something on the bottom shelf here and pull it out it is lightweight it is and I can read the bottom right away it is paper mâché and pulling it out I see that it is this Placid looking cat I kind of like the abstract design the abstract painting on it it’s a little bit PL L but again it’s lightweight it wouldn’t be too bad to ship even though it’s large so I decide I’m going to put it in my cart it does have a few little scrapes on that ear but nothing too bad so I it’s going to hit your ride with me for a while the Halloween fall area I am scanning for glass pumpkins and other Maybe more vintage things that looked a little bit older that mug and then back here I noticed this glass pumpkin this exactly one of the things I usually look for this looks like it’s a hand blown glass pumpkin with a curly stem it has multicolored glass and gold glitter in the stem and I put it in my cart I had also picked up these thank you cards which I use for my eBay store back here was a ghost can canister also hoping it was older and this is out of place this is a piece of fused glass but I usually pick up fused glass when I find it because it moves really well for me so this abstract geometric design fuse glass also goes in my cart on this shelf I noticed those three siiz glass pillar candle holders I think they’re contemporary next to it is this I think it’s a deer cookie jar rain bear I’m not sure what that animal is um then I see this little teapot now normally I wouldn’t really even look at these These are usually very inexpensive Chinese teapots and sets but in this case this had those little figures are in a go-kart and there’s this little dog and lots of apples around it it was just really Whimsical so I decided to put it in my cart to think about it feeling around in this this is like on a higher shelf I noticed this egg shaped Shaker it’s by a brand called Orion it looks to have some age but there’s just a single there yeah but don’t mess with Wisconsin we’ve got all the cheese I noticed this sugar and creamer set it is not marked but it is a very nice design it’s got some really good detail and it is it’s got a sort of 1930s look to it behind it is this also vintage sugar with transfer wear roses for the design and then I noticed this Croc and you know I like me a good Croc this is a nice heavy Croc it’s only $3.99 it’s not marked and even though I really like it this time I leave it another day I might have taken it with me then I noticed this frosted pink glass bowl with a diamond pattern This is Indiana glass I think about it for a hot minute because it is vintage but these are all over eBay and don’t sell for very much so it goes back I have to pull down this item this is a vintage console Bowl it is large it is amberina that lovely um color Ombre color of gold into a a kind of wine color um moving this um picture out of the way so I can really take a look at this bowl it is beautiful it seems intact but unfortunately this is flashed color onto this piece and the flashing is coming off in various places so I do put it back but I wish you know I don’t really pick up flash glass much for that very reason the flashing tends to come off um pretty easily just taking a look at a couple more items this pineapple uh serving tray was kind of nice got a baby Yoda here out of place then I looked at these casserole this is contemporary so it’s a nice set but Pauline I think is the brand here on the bottom shelf I pulled out this large serving tray it’s hand painted it’s really lovely it’s it’s got this detailed fruit gathering in the middle it’s signed on the back there is an old label doesn’t say who the maker is but it does say it is alcohol resistant so you can spill your beers and your wine all over the place on it it was really really nice I was on the fence about it it’s so large I decided it might be tough to ship so I left it there but I think somebody else is going to be thrilled to find it instead I pick up this which is nearby this was a plate and looking at the back I’m trying to make out the maker and oh my gosh it is a francom plate so so I pull there’s a set frankoma plates it’s all matching this is called the Thunderbird pattern and they’re vintage I do collect frankoma and there’s a red white and blue plate and I think those are awesome so those definitely go home with me this section has some more dinner wear more um actually glass I’m looking at the pottery of course even though there’s a lot of glass around that was a nice pattern this is a nice Cubist design to this glass bowl was um kind of chunky didn’t feel like the glass was particularly fine quality and then down here on the Shelf I pull out a terine now normally this pattern wouldn’t have attracted me so much but a little terine that’s vintage is something sometimes worth a look in this case it is a Lemo litted terine it’s got an artist’s name on it which is M Ren and it is probably most likely an antique soup terine or vegetable terine and it’s in good shape there’s no chips that I can see no damage to it and just a little discoloration and it definitely needs a cleaning so I decide this is going to go into my car I think it’s funny about myself that when I’m in a bunch of clear glass invariably my eye goes towards if there’s any Pottery anywhere nearby I seem to go towards the pottery and pick it up even when it’s just glass everywhere in this case this looks like a a hand thrown I would say it could be a cheese server or a butter server it’s got that little handle in it sometimes these can be candle holders in this case I think it’s actually for food and I’m looking it over really good because I cannot tell if there is a break and a repair on the handle it seems like it it looks like it but it doesn’t feel necessar like it anyway I decided to put it back just because I’m not sure and I’m in kind of a hurry and I’m just going to make a decision and go moving on to some more glass this piece of gold this gold candy dish catches my eye here’s a nice pedestal candy dish it looks like it could have the waxford pattern on it which I kind of love down here is another piece of fused glass and it’s a fuse glass plate that has seahorse and a sand dollar on it and these again fuse glass actually goes pretty well for me this is a nice summery pattern so I put that in my cart among the candles I noticed this heart-shaped trinket dish and turning it over it is a row pottery piece and I’m excited until I oops till I see that huge chunk taken out of the top so that stays on the Shelf in the candle area I noticed this candle holder it’s got a mid-century look with the brass in the wood next to it is a very heavy chunk of white marble possibly Alabaster possibly Italian $6.99 it’s a really nice piece I actually really like the look of it and I was very much debating it and like last time I ended up passing on the white alabaster stone candle holders but I love them I was just about to move on from the candles when I noticed at the edge this wooden and Brass triple taper candle holder it has again sort of a m Century look to it it is I think more of a more of a homemade piece it’s lightweight but it is nice and so I take it here I’m on the chachis finally I see this out ofpl mug and turning it over it is Denon which I recognize is a very nice British or English China brand so I put that right in my cart take a look at this little figurine she’s nepon and she’s pretty sassy and cute with her doll dragging on the ground like that this is not really my my thing but I thought she was pretty awesome hopefully somebody else will pick her up on the shelf above I noticed this soft sculpture cat it’s it’s got a finish on it that really holds the shape and it is pretty sassy as well and I decide I’m going to take the cat and scanning I also noticed this this ceramic figure I think this is a little more contemporary but it’s got a cool bird on it I just wanted to show you these clowns these are vintage it’s a set I’m not sure that they’re all actually perfectly matched but they look like they’re a set and not clowns not my thing so much but I thought they were kind of impressive together notice this little box that was a trinket box I think it was ceramic actually with a metallic paint on it notice this tree it’s a handmade tree so let’s review my cart shall we first we have this paper mâché cat from Thailand I decide to leave that it was a nice piece I just had lots of stuff and I didn’t feel like I needed it there’s just a couple of signs here I think I um am going to give them as gifts these cards I’m going to use in my eBay selling and then I’ve got a couple candles again those are for me but I have this Dean CER dragonfly mug it’s got that lovely I don’t know what color that is Pew on the interior also have another designer mug this is by Richard Bramble with the two crabs on it it’s a nice piece here we have the fused glass seahorse and sea dollar serving plate here I’ve got the set of red white and blue Thunderbird francom plates these look to be the salad plate size they’ve got the the metal devices to hang them on the wall I’m going to carefully remove those francoo Pottery is made in Oak was made in Oklahoma and it is that’s just a super awesome set this is some mesh that I’m bringing to work I decide to leave behind that multicolored glass pumpkin and this is the boxed nambe Christmas ornament it is a reindeer with a red nose so I guess it’s Rudolph this is that funny Whimsical Little Teapot here’s that other fused glass plate it’s a little bit smaller it’s more of a geometric design here’s the hand thrown Pottery bowl with with the punched out circles design on the edge we’ve got the triple taper candle holder with the brass accents kind of mid-century I think it’s awesome here is that soft sculpture Cat by coins and Company out of Minnesota this is the Denon nectar teacup it’s bone china those sell for pretty good money here’s another candle and of course we’ve got the L Mo France signed soup or vegetable terine the artist is M Ren and that caps a pretty good haul for me today well I think we did better than I expected I it’s a Monday you know things are often picked over but we managed to find some pretty cool things I was especially happy with those designer mugs I think that those that Denon mug is one that I have sold before uh at least that brand and I thought it did pretty well the LMO terine uh some of those go for pretty good money I think it’s going to clean up nicely and that might be an an excellent uh profit for us and also the most exciting find for me were the frankoma plates I do collect frankoma but uh not that pattern so I’m thinking I might sell those and so happy days hope you had as much fun as I did like my channel subscribe and comment and come back again Thrift on friends we will do this again
