for um when did you know you uh were going to the to the front did you know it maybe a little earlier than than we all did uh well the plan was to prepare the tour since December but uh my knew after swis that I would come here because in the end you know if I would go to Swiss and then I would not perform there for there for sure I would not come so after swis I I knew I I would come a um first you’ve had a a fabulous year a wonderful congratulations um what does it mean to be here at the Tour of France you what does the Tour of France mean to you your life has changed so much well it mean it means a lot for sure um since yeah since last year when I when I came back to to the to the tour and when I finish again and I arrived in in Paris was just amazing to be there again um obviously last year I suffer a lot and this year is hopefully it’s going to be different I I feel much better so I’m exciting excited to to see where I can arrive and to see how my my body is recording so yeah it’s going to be um an an exciting toour for me can I follow up question yeah just um go back to 2019 and that that period of your existence until then was all about winning it was all about being the best scientist in the world and you’ve achieved that um now what what is your life about and what is sing about for you is it more complicated than that has it changed for sure now it’s not just about winning U before I remember when when I went back to the tour in 2020 and I didn’t finish the tour being the the the the champion that the the year before I felt like the world was ended for me and uh for sure now I I understand that life is more than more than cing and uh this is my job this is what I love to do I love to do seven eight hours on the bike I really like this but uh but I know if I don’t win or if I don’t if the race doesn’t go as as I want anyway at home there there will be the family that is waiting for for me and what I want to to to show people is h i I would like to to inspire them to to do their goals as I’m doing mine after this 3 crash uh you said in your last you suffered a lot you say I’m a lot better now you feel ready to battle for GC and what do you have in mind or do you also consider it possible that at some stage you will on stages that GC maybe that you will try that there is a possibility that it will not be possible until uh yes for sure there’s the possibility that I cannot do the the GC but at the start I want to to try and and go all for it to do the the GC if at some point you know I just drop then I I would I would try to to help the guys as as much as they can
