how many wins does Mark Cavendish have in the tour to France and how did the British Rider achieve them we’re going to look at the star sprinters wins throughout the year the rider who’s been called the best ever tur of France Sprinter and what it’s going to take for him to reach the record in 2007 he made his debut just 22 years old he had already made an impression on the cycling pelaton victories in the ski de Prix stages in the welta catalunia and and the Four Days of Dunkirk but this was the big one well it was nervous and there were crashes and he pulled the plug on the 2007 tter France in stage8 but his breakthrough would come soon enough and we were all right to keep an eye on Mark Cavendish there in 2008 with Team Colombia three stage wins and then that dominant year 2009 that’s when he really put the hammer down winning six stages almost unheard of now for a top Sprinter in the to France in fact Mark kavenish will tell you himself the sprinters don’t have as many chances these days in grand Tours he took advantage when he could six stage wins he took home in that 2009 Edition and established himself as the best Sprinter in the pelaton after that breakthrough Edition in 2009 following the 2008 Edition with three stage wins well he reached Peak Performance 2009 through 2011 those years with HTC High Road five- stage wins in both 2009 and 2010 wins the points classification the green jersey in 2011 and four successive wins on the Shan Le Z and that’s where every Sprinter wants to win and during that period Cavendish made it his home turf then there were the team changes the increased competition from 2012 onwards things started to look a little bit more difficult for the great Sprinter Mark Cavendish from the ISA man the British Rider came up against Riders like the German Marcel KD during those years when he switched from Team Sky Omega Pharma quickstep and dimension data he didn’t pick up as many wins but he was still showing a force to reckon with in 2016 though he did achieve a goal with Team Dimension data winning stage one and more importantly for him that time taking the yellow Jersey winning four stages in that Year’s Edition on the rest day the second rest day he left the race to prepare for the Rio Olympics from that year 2016 to 2021 he battled with illness injury and depression but Omega Pharma team quickstep his old team gave him a chance and in 2021 he was back at the tur of France he came out and he came out swinging four stage wins and with those four if you were doing the tally well we’re up to 34 stage wins and 34 is important because it matches the great Eddie MKS and it matches the record the record for stage wins in the T of France now the British rider was equal with the great Eddie MKS that’s where it stands right now 34 stage wins he’s had bad luck over the last years following 2021 wasn’t selected in 2022 switch teams again in 20123 for team aana came close but then had to abandon the race due to a crash reset to 2024 and it’s all about the tour to France can he do it what do you think he’s only had a couple of wins this year and they’ve been small wins and frankly when he’s been up against the big sprinters he hasn’t yet delivered but the key word there is yet because if he’s able to pull it off it would be magic it would be a breakthrough it would be win number 35 probably no one would be able to touch that for decades to come and Cavendish who’s already written his place in tur of France history would surely cement his spot as alltime Sprint King which he already has that title but no one would ever touch him for alltime stage wins in the tur to France tune in to find out if you can do it in the 2024 tur to France [Music]

He had a Netflix special about him. That may fire him up.
Go Cannonball!!! Just do it 💪💪💪
Cav's going to do it!!! Likely he'll exceed "just" the record…I'm going out on a limb and predicting 3 stage wins for Cav at the 2024 Tour and history cemented.
I think you are an extremely fortunate person ……be well , eh ?
He can't quit until hes done it
High performing athletes have this inner fire that allows them to overcome challenges that stump mere mortals. I think that Mark Cavendish has that fire. Lets hope for no crashes and a bit of luck. The fans will be cheering him on.
He's one of the best sprinters ever but no longer has it to compete with the young legs. He will surely bully and complain about others ruining his chances…..
If MC gets the win (or wins) it will be because of his instincts and race-craft rather than absolute speed.
I'm not a big Cavendish fan, BUT, what Quick-step did to him 2 yrs ago. IS A CRIME against Cycling. IMHO… It's not like Jakobsen was unbeatable. He won 1 stage and SUCKED EVER SINCE. AND he's not even with that team anymore…J/S
I'm just hoping he doesn't seriously injure other riders in this quest. He has a reputation for questionable tactics. A few years ago, he did it in a sprint stage of the TOF when it was in England. Took himself out for the season along with 2 or 3 other riders. And who got all the sympathy? Poor Mark Cavendish.
Nope.. he does not deserve the record.. just because of the crash where Sagan was wrongfully disqualified… Carma…
rooting for him. the competition is tough out there esp w/ jasper and mvdp around, but hoping he could have this last win for the books, for his legacy to be remembered
Cavendish=GOAT but I don't think he will get the record, although I would certainly like him to achieve this!
Cav 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💯💯💯💯🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
The stage 1 profile could mean cav doesn't make the time cut off. The way racing has been going "all out from the gun" this year, the winners time means a shorter time for the cut off.
Add the many crashes this year and cav is a sure dnf.
Gregor you said Cav only has little wins this year but he Smoked one of your BIG 5 beating Dylan G in Hongrie in May?🤷♂
35 or not the Manx Missile is a legend. Bring it!
Wihout luck its gonna be quite impossible to win for him, as there will be bigger guns out there with more powerfull leadout trains.
Sadly he is too old and too slow to defeat guys like Philipsen, Pedersen, Coquard, etc…
I hope he wins. He’s been through so much. Good luck!!
