good morning from the quarters we’ve had a good night rest and we are going to go off and do the rest of the Grand Union we had to cut these short slightly yesterday but we are going back to the point and then we’ll continue on from there Little Miss out the bike and the fading light caused us to divert and try and find the hotel we managed F of quarters we’ve had some rest we’ve had food thank you to will who saved the day amazing gentleman who’s come out his way to help us but yeah all good ready to go where are we Tony so we’re at the top of uh St bruan uh Canal Museum and uh it’s got a really nice feature here to me a glass cabinets unfortunately it’s not working at the moment but the hope you to get it fixed but it’s a working or it’s a not a working model but it’s supposed to be a working model of how the Foxton lock incline plane used to work now if anyone goes there to Fox locks at the moment now nowadays they will see this plane here so you’ll see the tracks coming down so when they go there they will see the tracks but they won’t uh they won’t see the things at the top but uh it’s all grass just with tracks in there so there’s very little evidence of what was what it was used for but this was the only incline plane like lift that went up and down and took narrow bolts uh up to the top and bottom of the locks so they didn’t need to use the little locks that were in up and down here uh so were they the earlier time those locks and then this hi hi Linda tell us where we are we’re in STO Brew Museum and we found this fabulous map and it explains about how we’re getting from Birmingham down to London We’re Going On the Canal but it’s changed its name over time so originally to go from Birmingham down to London you went to from the war and Birmingham Canal the war and napton Canal onto the Grand Junction canal and then all the way down and then the last bit was the main line into London at brenford and then in 199 1929 the Grand Union was formed where it brought all those together and that’s what we’re cyling over the next 3 days and how long is that 13 37 M just 137 just 137 shall we do it twice brilliant thank you it’s the end of a brilliant ride here through this is bronston tunnel great way to see the tunnel by boat by boat right back to the cycle ring get the helmet ready to be fair thank you very much CH thank you the only the only to be fair the only way to see the tunnel is by cuz anything else would be really wet thank you that was brilliant amazing well done so back on our bike today we’ve actually gone through the some nice very nice people gave us a little to of their boat we are now at another tunnel what are we going to do um we we could wait here all day and see if a boat will let us pass through it’s 2.8 me well 2 2.8 km long um I think we should uh cycle over what do you think yeah I haven’t seen a boat for a while I think we’re going to have to actually cycle sorry guys we cannot go through the
