[Music] in our previous film we explored the historical sites of the city of bordo today we are taking you with us for a day of cultural and sensory experiences on the agenda nature wine and light with visits of the city’s Public Gardens the Natural History Museum the city of wine and the bassine of lights and we will end our day with a stroll along the [Music] keys we start early in the morning and head towards the public garden we pass by the Charles G Square where we can admire the Fondo fontain built in 1865 in honor of the mayor who led the town hall from 1912 to 1919 now in the shade of hackberry trees planted in 1960 it’s a work by the architect L garos known for the construction of many wine castles it’s a small circular barck style Temple topped with a stone Dome decorated with aquatic plants and mascaron their ornaments with various interpretations traditional Neptune and bacus are joined by Fantastical animals female figures Carnival faces angels and wild beasts Bordeaux has over 3,000 of them contributing to the decoration of the facades this fontain house is a nymph sculpted by [Music] L we now arrive at the public garden the first developments date back to 1746 designed in the typically French style by the Chief Architect of King Louis the 15 in 1856 it was redesigned into an English garden a style it retains today it was listed as a historic monument in 1935 it consist of significant elements that contributed to its designation as a remarkable Garden of fr such as the original Roar gate the Bassin designed in 1856 in the form of a serpentine River and the three contemporary Bridges statues such as those of Rosa boner and several mensions surround the garden one can also find the remnants of the old Greenhouse dating from 1856 which was destroyed in 1933 [Music] at the time it was one of the largest green houses in [Music] Europe various Restorations and additions such as the GED Gates on the C ver and sculptures have been made over the [Music] years since 1862 the Bordeaux museum has occupied the hotel the FM located in the public [Music] garden we enter the museum now called the bordo Museum of Natural History it features both permanent and temporary exhibitions thus we discover the jungala exhibition at the heart of the Indian jungle the name jangala is a Sanskrit term that initially refers surprisingly to rugged and arid Teran the term jungal was popularized and took on its meaning of lush Forest through Kling stories with the jungle book published in 1894 thanks to an immersive and playful scenography we explore animal species dependent on rich and sometimes teaming diverse ecosystems some emblematic species from klink’s work accompan us through the four natural environment the forest edge the Arid Plains the tropical rainforest and the foo Hills of the vast Himalayan range throughout this walk we discover the animal species living in each environment [Music] and I’ve come out here to we then move on to another temporary exhibition all about feathers here we enter the world of birds the diversity in size color habitats and songs make them the subject of study and inspiration for scientists and artist like visitors are invited to listen observe and even touch to become acquainted with them the exhibition covers a variety of themes feathers and Prat baks feet and prints courtship Nest weaving eggs and feeding migrations songs and calls you’ll get an overview of the variety of birds found in Europe Marvel at the colors of the king fisher prage admire the specific hovering flights of the Cal or appreciate the art of camouflage of the night [Music] jar next we arrive at the semi-permanent collection highlighting the aiten coastline known for its surf waves mild climate and wide Landscapes which are constantly evolving due to winds tids and urbanization the exhibition aims to decipher the coastline and showcase the remarkable natural site of the region we discover the Abundant marine life of the Bay of bis the rockans Andes and the formation of this Coast influenced by climate and human activities the exhibition highlights three specific ecosystems the June the tidle zone and the Arash Basin finally we arrive at the permanent exhibition on nature as viewed by humans here we explore the richness of biodiversity from the entrance hall to the second floor in the soie [Music] gallery it highlights the diversity of colors sizes and natural environments while reflecting the complex relationship between humans and nature we discover the various sizes colors and shapes of animals plants and mineral species we also explore the continents and their animal diversities since the 15th century with a focus on Europe Africa Madagascar Asia the Americas oceia and the polls [Music] after this visit we head to the city of wine and its impressive Building located in the basa aflu District in the north of the city here we will embark on two types of visits first we will stimulate our senses with the Via sensoria experience and then we will explore the city of wine itself a spectacular place where the history of wine comes to life through interactive exhibitions and artistic installations let’s begin with via sensoria which is a unique sensory experience it’s a 1hour journey through Pavilion themed around the Four Seasons blending artistic proposals with drink pairings inspired by the seasons in a small group up to 15 people a su guide we lead does through a choice of four wines from around the world are original non-alcoholic beverages specially paired with artistic universes and the Four Seasons this experience is distinct and complimentary to the permanent exhibition and requires a separate ticket the tour is offered in French English or [Music] Spanish Six Original poems were created specifically to punctuate the journey [Music] [Music] [Music] we now move to the permanent exhibition of the city of wine museum it takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to visit but if time is limited a shorter route of about 1 hour is available here we embark on an adventure through time and continents exploring the world of [Music] wine across six universities divided into 18 modules the permanent exhibition of the city of wine invites us to Journey Through the world of Vineyards and wine from Antiquity to the present day and across five continents upon arrival we are equipped with a comfortable headset and a smartphone that triggers multimedia content throughout our [Music] visit we discover an incredible wealth of information through interactive tables and stand shaped like win stocks that explain the transformation of grapes into wine we particularly enjoy the intimate atmosphere of the space we travel through Vineyards around the world using giant screens and interactive Globes we enjoy a tactile and all Factory experience in alcoves specially designed for testing next we access a h floor above for sensory [Music] experiences here we encounter various smells and Sensations under glass bells and engage in conversations with wine makers and wine experts via interactive screens [Music] our visit concludes at the Belair located at the eighth floor of the city of wine the tour and with a wine testing or with grape juice included in our ticket with a beautiful panoramic view from the Belair if you wish to take home a souvenir here you can visit the 250 S M [Music] Boutique we leave the city of wine heading toward the Basin of Lights we stroll through the District of Bas and discover a 15 M diameter flying UFO an artwork designed by artist Susan Trester acquired by the Bordeaux Metropolitan District it was conceived as a World War II shipwreck transforming into a spaceship symbolizing the transformation of the city in the basa District which has recently emerged in recent years numerous essential cultural venues have settled here the city of wine the Bassin of Lights Mar Marine Museum as well as gouret markets and alternative venues just men by Trum or bike from the historic center today contemporary and daring architectures blends with silos cranes and rails remnants of past industrial activity it’s precisely this eclectic mix that adds charm to bordo’s new Skyline [Music] we know arrive at Basin of flights the concept is similar to the fabric the lumere that we had the chance to submarine base transformed today into a digital art space the exhibition opens with a scene depicting the arrival of submarines the exhibitions vary throughout the year we are fortunate to explore the sural works of Salvador Deli and GTI through two exhibitions Deli the Endless Enigma and gudi architect of the imaginary the first offers an immersive exhibition showcasing over 60 years of creative works by the Catalan Master inspired by cubism surrealism and futurism blending reality with mysteries of Consciousness fantasies and memories all set by The rhythms of Pink Floyd music following that a journey between dream and reality awaits with gudi featuring music like Raiders of the storm by the dos the spectacle is simply breathtaking [Music] [Music] [Music] and to end this day beautifully
