Camping Velenje was renovated in 2022, and is now open all year round. In addition to the arranged camping pitch and the non-parceled, they also offer the possibility of renting modern Adria mobile homes for 4 – 6 people.

The location of the campsite Velenje is right next to Lake Velenje and about 1 km outside the center of Velenje, which is also served by the city bus.
The renovated Camping Velenje has about 120 camping pitches along the lake, a brand new sanitary facility adapted for children and people with disabilities and a renovated restaurant.
The campsite is also dog-friendly, as a shower for dogs has been arranged in the toilets, and there is already an area by the lake where dogs are allowed to bathe.
There is also a sports center ZOO station within the campsite, where you can rent SUP boards and surf lessons on Lake Velenje.
Lake Velenje is a pleasant spot, where a natural swimming pool comes to life in the summer, and a cross-country ski track is arranged next to the lake in the winter. The event space with a viewing platform has been completely newly arranged, the boat house has been arranged, small sailboats can be rented, there are children’s playgrounds, an aqua park, an inflatable mountain and a diving board. There is also a wide range of restaurants on the beach.
In the surroundings of Velenje, there are plenty of activities to do, from walking to cycling along well-maintained cycle paths, e.g. the Štrekna to Mislinja and Dravograd, or the path to Šoštanj.
Guests can visit the nearby Velenje Coal Mining Museum, where you will be taken 160 meters underground by elevator. Or you can walk to Velenje itself and see the castle there.
