For a clean download sent worldwide for just £9 visit www.pmpfilms.com the worlds largest collection of transport hobby DVDs featuring buses, lorries, trams and trolleybuses worldwide. Also a vast array of archives you never see on Youtube! Plus digital downloads and links to half a million still images.Welcome to the world of PMP films owned by Dave and Mandy Spencer. It is really a hobby for us and we take great pleasure in meeting with other transport enthusiasts around the world.

The origins of PMP go back to the 1970s when we sold photographs at local transport society meetings in Manchester.

We had a brief period selling models which gave us the PMP name. Peover Model Promotions which also alludes to our home village in the Cheshire countryside.

At the end of the 1980s we started filming on video and by 1989 had launched video sales. We were fortunate in having good friends who gave us access to archive cine film which broadened our range both in time and locations.

As video faded as a format we started to produce DVDs and in 2010 commenced filming in HD or high definition which produces startling quality although it handles motion less well. Our films feature transport items unless stated otherwise. This means natural sound with no narration or music added. We are not a Hollywood production company so don’t expect Ice Road Truckers, our budget is a tank of fuel not a million dollars. One customer complained that his trucking DVD had nothing but trucks on it- you just cannot win. After having a knee replacement in Sept 2015 Dave retired from his ‘day’ job and now works full time bringing you more films than ever.

For snail mail or reference you can download our order form which can be posted or emailed through to us.
Our archive feature images are where possible selected from HD scanned cine film for archives with a high standard of reproduction. We use NEAT to clean old film and video, de interlacing when required, up quality where needed to HD and adjust speed .

Dave now manages the new OTA channel on Youtube and is working with OTA to scan moving images in their collection

We are also branch Sec and Chair for Cheshire, Wirral and Nth Wales branch of the British Polio Fellowship, Patrons of the Royal Northern College of music and sponsors of the North West Vehicle Restoration Trust.

[Music] [Music] well hello good morning and it’s your old mate Dave back with you once again off on another one of our transport Adventures this time we’re in crew in cheser and uh we’re sort of 2 seconds away from the new bus station which is recently opened and also they’ve gained an enormous great car park but nobody co could ever Park in it because all the roads into crew are closed so you sort of get thrown around the extremities of the place in circles and circles around the hospital out into the country you go to NWI and I think you go down to stoke then you come back in again on another road and then you get thrown out again cuz the last Road into town shut hey good job I haven’t got a trains to catch is it are you with it yeah and uh so what’ you do then well actually most people probably give give up and go home but who would want to go to crew anyway anyway we shall see what we shall see of the new bus station and they rather silly Road system and I’ll catch up with you later well we’ve arrived at the new bus station and all very plush it looks I don’t think the buses TR changeed much though well I think this one was sat there last time we came just one thing sort of missing really isn’t a few buses is [Music] oh [Music] [Music] out well what do you think of it so far who’s that said rubbish this is it’s sort of nice and it’s lowkey and it’s sort of very Posh for a town like Crew That’s not got much to its name and I suppose it makes the uh train station look pretty dilapitated I came in on it uh I didn’t expect to be coming into it but uh I got all my uh camera equipment uh stolen in Belgium I come into flew back into Heath row then that’s get train up to Peru I don’t know if it was a different platform than usual but bikeometer looked a bit dilapitated nice wave from the drive always been very friendly place though very often is with a sort of rather sort of down aill places nice sight though isn’t it really you know all the dgs ni to be somewhere where it’s not all stage coach or Reaver go ahead Etc first yes they still going there’s another one coming in now it’s all happening I’ve got a feeling as the sun goes around it becomes a little bit more convenient for getting them coming in [Applause] [Music] micro coaches [Applause] another one coming in yes it’s another dng certainly picked up first few minutes was it rather slow must be coming up to the hour or half hour or something I don’t know that’ll be a clop in there somewhere I don’t bother with him jez well that was all rather lovely actually the uh driver coming in had actually uh sort of pulled up and it was waiting for me to get a shot wherever I wanted I should really sort of humbles you sometimes it’s people are so helpful and friendly and I think when they’re not P comes as a shock because obviously the majority of people are helpful and friendly I recognize the the lad on doing the security I think is the last time came and um oh he’s absolutely lovely you know it’s it’s just sort of it’s the way everywhere should be really and uh well we might not have the most buses in the world world at crew bus station but uh we’ve got local operators and uh we got friendly folk and crew once an incredibly important place especially for the railways but you know things sort of change don’t they they die away a bit this one’s going to go off out the other way say later on it won’t really matter too much cuz uh when the sun’s swings around we can get going both ways gorgeous day the first sort of warm day of the year really uh up here in the the Frozen North this is first up properies [Music] [Music] most places look a little bit better for the sake of a bit of sunshine I can think of places a lot bigger than crew who got nothing like such an extensive bus facility as this rather makes up for all those lean years isn’t it where they had to make their amend what was left of the old Depo mind you near us North which massive bus station from Depo there now you got a couple of stops on the road and uh not much else we’ve got stage coach next that’s notching up our uh count of operators isn’t it quite sure where he’s coming in from [Music] Hello not one of stage CO’s finest but uh all our well little bit of RI in the line up there isn’t it really dng first stage coach now he’s going to come out Hardway isn’t he yeah so really it’s more or less replicates the way it was at the other station of the to more or [Music] less big smile fling the [Music] driver change your St he’s coming out our way is he is he or is he not no he’s going to the way come on get a rear shot can’t we that’s nice I think Stage Coach might be [Music] away he’s coming our way we got a chance to see where he’s going where’s he going n [Music] wi and uh that comes under the uh Ribble Banner no rather enchanting the idea of the riding through I’ll go on then tell me they always have Roots here I know well we’ve managed 25% of our film so far is that sun it’s just been a little bit behind the light hazy clouds temperat is not bad i’ got my summer kit on now I’ve got my shorts and sandals and short sleeve shirt you can’t say that when you’ve had a coup can you and um I’m ready for our next trip which just a few days away now and we’re going back to Albania taking the girls there and uh doing a bit of holiday stuff and uh hopefully getting a lot of shots of the trucks and the buses Daris pretty good for that sort of thing and lots of hot weather which will probably mean the moment we leave Britain the Rainy wind sweat place is going to be nice itself I think the one up the top which way is he going nice if we come back out this way yes I think we’ve got it yes we’ve got it covered excuse me mate you can’t go oh why is that then you were the only bus we put in the bus station now if you go it’s going to be [Music] empty ah timbles are timetables just shows you how quickly what looks quite a little bustling place is quickly devoid of all the into Transport oh I’ll pop into the railway station is it around the corner no why would it be this is a this is a transport interchange is it what can you interchange with um bicycle your car if you left it in the big new car part but not in the moment it’s not open yet they’re still building the road here oh ah he crept in by the uh the back way didn’t he ah good job I was on the ball wasn’t it a you’re right you can go now cuz he got another one we won’t be lonely we don’t like to see them sitting there on their own do we I had quite an experience yesterday I went to look at the new bus station in stockall needed to say probably it isn’t quite like this there a bus every 10 seconds n about every 15 seconds yeah it’s all go there but uh nothing was like as relaxed as this and and I couldn’t par the car anywhere there but like here it was something weird not that it’s weird it was de straight forward putting the car in a car par and the lady always was asking dire from um she what a Long Way to the town center was about 2 or 3 minutes walk but uh yes on the uh I I ended up parking on the sort of fringes out towards cheel way and then I hopped on uh the stage coach and V 400 the old ones and in the old Livery believe it or not no not not on the stripes the other old Livery um and and it was all right but I’ll tell you what sort of like early afternoon there’s some mly passengers on there later on returning I uh but the uh rout with shadow that one and it commuters at the end of the working day very normal but uh you can see sometimes why why people bulk at the site of a bus and the fact we’re going to go on the bus it certainly brings you in touch with all of life yeah with a car parks in stock you had to be young enough to have one of these computers on a phone or whatever they do or wave their faces at it or something they wave something else Dave no you’re not to go out way okay any we got another stage Co coming now Deca you’re joking no I’m serious honestly trust me [Applause] there we go ah he from the Chester routs Chester another bus station which we visited when it was young [Music] oh [Music] sh [Music] now if you travel to the other end of the country you probably want something a little bit more active than this but so when it’s rning down the road normally taking heed of my uh notes at the beginning What notes are those I told you when we got sent around bya Cal or something I thought it was a bit wet no it’s uh they’ve been doing it for years years and years about 25 years I think it was well that’s not exaggerate a little it’s uh they’ve been messing about the roads here for so long mind you so we given the status of the uh the hospital it’s um it’s probably a good job that uh not too many people go there we’ve got another bus coming in [Applause] that’s is another first just going to swing around I should think that one’s a micro bus back to DG after I’ve uh finished here I’m going to go over to waterstones which is near the Lum theater we used to go to the lium quite a lot and uh I suppose what I remember best gend do gend do Lum Lum theater crew yeah it all makes sense doesn’t it you got your flasks in your pillows love it really did go on and uh it was nothing to be uh seeing the end about half 9 10:00 had a go it’ be 11:00 think could rent him out as an alarm clock didn’t you be able to ignore that sound it is it funny than smallest vessels make the most noise oh very true another of the new buses and the uh dng fact there’s another dng behind that oh there’s the lat thing I don’t know how he gets here I I have no idea perhaps he comes in Via caner on no idea how you’d get here to late all the roads that you’d normally take are shut I remember when I was going down to see Peter waller for a sec at the OTA down in shury I go down there monthly more or less and uh we have some very serious meetings there well we’re seriously down the local pub and um what was I going to say oh diversions that was it and uh I was on the SAT now and it wanted to take me bu through I don’t know why I I wouldn’t go that way normally but anyway I followed it and I got diverted then I got diverted off the diversion yeah wait for it you know where I’m got yes I got diverted off the diversion to the diversion by that stage I gave up I switched me sat and have on again I thought I knew where I was and now I didn’t I thought it was it funny really been the the right was and German and that big tble was in the way so I’ll never forget that trip actually there’s no diversion there’s one diversion side which sort of takes you away from where the road isn’t and uh after that you’re on your own pal you are on your own we’ve got some fantastic coun here really smashing if you want a bit of a laugh TR is most people weak cuz it usually means something bad happens to them we’re in cheser Western Chester that bounces off the tongue do it yeah I [Applause] know I’m going to go my guess is micro cuz I could wrong oh you have the wrong name yes frequently I was correct it is m c well so they’re nice for an Enthusiast aren’t they cuz we like that type of thing light off it goes out the other way oh that is really going to be it not a bus left cuz the time he goes the lighton it’s going to be about 2 years before he gets back here you have you got your flask and your sandwiches mate the sandwiches did you see that awful thing they did on us that went out on Channel 5 thankfully there’s a bus coming in yes uh man Mandy was seen very briefly uh packing a sandwich gosh where were you going Dave well we were going all the way to near Stafford gosh don’t have all food there well sort of all right and uh very brief shot of that Bri shot in one of my layouts my bus station I think it was and then um then we check in the hotel and we’ve got Mandy and her elderly husband cheeky GS next for DMG we’ve got one with root branding no less H yeah yes oh we get it all here you know yes crew and nap wi fast and direct there a bit of competition there there stage coaching I don’t think the passengers really all pedestrians don’t really care where they walk it’s not exactly holy territory on the bus and uh nobody gets a ticket off for being there I suppose the likelihood of being hit by a bus is fairly minimal it’s I I like to sort of uh you know show the way it should be done and keep off it who remembers the end of the old sto bus station handy bus station the old one well not the old old one I don’t even remember that um and we we had a sort of rally there getting on to towards the end of it and oh gosh they were everybody was getting wound up they they were afraid of upsetting the sort of management of the operator and uh we were leaping out into the tap and this was all on a sun wasn’t that many buses but he that’s always What drew me to sponsorship of the Northwest vehicle restoration Trust at Kirby is that their dues were always fairly lowkey marshing and it’s grown into a sizable event now we have got a few roots and uh we uh have a few stops now oh yes it’s it’s getting bigger and bigger every year but yeah a low key it’s all you need these things low key low key gets you a long way St [Music] [Music] we just got to another one coming in [Music] I think it’s very much a crew change over Point another dng coming in quickly spotted what another dng coming down from towards the town we let this one go and then swing around and pick the other one up it’s the uh Leighton Hospital run on the other direction oh tomorrow was going to go down and film in Oxford but Andy had a tooth out the other day and then mine started playing up and so I’ve got to go and have a tooth out on Friday before we head off to Albania another first is coming in from the Posies just heading down our way we’ll pick him up and a tick l he’s coming out [Music] come [Music] [Music] the sun really is beating down I’m going to have to get in practice I doubt if the temperatures any more than about 22 or 23 and it’s going to be continually 30 31 32 over in Alania if we’re going to get something different coming in that’s what we need something different prer be Deckers preferably uh preferably sort of bit Tatty and old perhaps a school workking it is school term at the moment go if you noticed they seem to be on holiday every other week gosh one minute they’ve had Christmas then they’re on off they’re off for half term or something then it’s Easter that lasts about 6 months and in summer holidays how do they fit in going to gool between them all when I was at school the toad or Todd as we called the Headmaster used to uh hang up his Cane for a couple of weeks in the summer used to uh he had to get back and start practicing know of course he had to keep his hand in as they say very bizarre teachers we had but they still wore gowns and M boards and stuff like that honestly yeah they really did at a grammar school yeah and our maass teacher Mr Dyer he he was like all ragged gown and that used to come on his push bite so of f very goodby Mr Chips isn’t it we could do with a few Traditions here could we there’s there’s room enough for them perhaps the sort of the a station manager is one of them but we come out with a little trumpet and do a little Fanfare every time a service was due to go that would be very raining would it and fitting for dingly Dell like this and he’s going to go and have a layover yep it’s time for rest oh it’s hard giving you roll in dingling dingly DS here there you go the trumpet blue I think the bus station control that does exist he thought he’d come and have a word it was a little worried that when I move around I might go near the edge of the Haven I said what about the pedestrians who would to walk across the Concourse he said well Le they don’t listen to anybody oh blessed I tell you that trumpet would have been good idea another one coming down of the new ones and uh perhaps there’ll be a pass this one on his way out way no I think this one’s going to get out first probably one of the ones we possibly not I think it changed driver Qui yeah I think he was just spilling in time really going gone over there and J with somebody now anyway there you go very pleasant banging a few more buses and it’ll be pretty darn good wouldn’t it [Music] d Stage Coach inbound [Music] well I think we’re going to get into repeats now unfortunately and uh any desire to see anything else a little bit more exciting is rather fading away we will do our best this LS in earlier on [Music] [Music] [Music] get cover it get don’t cover it get don’t C [Music] another first coming up the road a see sir B going back to Hanley there’re still well into the old root brandings in the feries like the old days every B had a different body on it who’s old enough to remember that no not even I if I’d have grown up in the feries I’d have no doubt remembered as was looking at Eric Wayne’s models on uh Facebook and uh still the love affair with the many Independents in that neck of the woods and brings back happy memories of the days there with the MS Federation and uh later on as sponsor of the pops Crosser omnius preservation society’s rally at biston at the Wedgewood Center we uh supported Finance St we paid paid for the insurance which was quite Hefty actually and uh but what we did in the end was we were quite switched on so I gave them a sum which uh covered the payment and uh I give it to them as a gift so that they could get the tax back on it so it worked out very well unfortunately eventually rewood wanted to sell off a large chunk of their park there and now there’s a sort of Posh housing estate on it we went went for a trip once just to have a look and see what it happened to it it was a lovely setting for a rally we we tried the Stoke football ground for a while we had two or three there but it wasn’t the same and they weren’t very pleasant people particularly were they it’s a shame though not like the lovely people at Morton there the uh people at the football ground can be more helpful and uh annually host a uh sort of Lancashire River Etc rally we have some marvelous events in the Northwest though we really do we’re very lucky I was just having a crack with one of the drivers about the sort of Roads closures and he only just got the roads open again and then the council decided to C them all again I don’t know well that was all about but uh I was just joking out how on Earth they managed to get from um from Leighton Hospital back to uh back to crew well the sun’s gone in a little bit more out little bit more tricky with the lighting very kind very pleasant drive a change they are those places actually [Music] the stage coach us back bringing the presence of the double decker back be nice if I had time to hang about and get the sort of schools Services later on in the day no w well that’s it I’m afraid the end of another one of our transport Adventures this time in crew cheser and it’s June 2024 it’s always a pleasure having you along with us on our transport outings and uh as I always tend to say these days anyway um stay well keep safe be good and if you can be kind to others and I know I I’m not I’m not always that way when they get in the front of the camera but uh we must try our best on behalf of M she’s off getting her nails done this morning and myself God bless and we’ll see you all again on another one of our Ventures soon bye for now everybody goodbye [Music] [Applause] [Music]
