[Music] the Swiss Manon range we’ve landed in may look like a chocolate box cover but believe me the tracks in this brand new cross country venue are far from sweet or indulgent add to that a volatile mix of riders trying to Peak for Paris and those pushing for World Cup glory and we have a feast of action for you this weekend in K Montana it is round five of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup let’s tuck in so the track heads up the asphalt climb turns hard left and a big long pedal up the hill into the woods proper there’s your first split and really from here on in every inch of this place extremely technical you’re busy the whole time time the crown Montana Falls that waterfall section huge aine and then back on the asold and back up towards the start finish straight is a bit of a and they go green and right off the line GRE gets away well as does bro as does Columbo on the left hand side matis isaro working his way up at the right hand side officer [Music] greeny swings left R the herpin and it is chaos behind them Montana I guess is in a good way for that 162 beats per minute for Charlie Aldridge oh he just gets knocked into that course Mark and tape slightly the search for grip up this section so so tough yeah it might be the cause it’s trying a little bit but still this line here it’s so slippery so difficult to make it on your bike oh ped coock stumbles knocks and arrow an amazing thing is we didn’t think on lap one on the climb we’d be saying that Aldridge would be leading schb flick in the red SK over there CH going bar toar with Tom pck on the way out that right hander line but not the kind of real spiky mud tires more of a intermediate mud and also I mean the Riders are not covered in m at all I mean it’s just a very mury sticky ground you can see just m sheld is looking strong yeah it’s like grinding past up the top of that climb M getting really thick now R is now at the top of that second big climb they drop into this Pitcock over carry some speed into the bottom so difficult very Steep and that big route is right at 45° and only way you can do it is as you’re coming in big hop over really really difficult section to clean but for those front four absolutely nailing it you can see as well some o routs out there starting to turn white which if you’ve ever read mountain bikes you know is the last thing on Earth you want to see is a big shiny white route more slippery those are the ones that smell like hospital food but out the front Tom pedco yeah he’s pushing hard now it’s kind of an attack senses six seconds senses it maybe no as a time going through the timber Garden still very slippery that Timber Garden you see the whole bike just moving around yeah yeah R have to be careful over there there she actually as well pretty wild [Applause] [Music] ped coock through the be line and the Rocks just gives you a slightly better entry to that big turn one reach line mat taking how fast he can come back to to these these actions will suit Mao say this year best result going into this race 16th in the World Cup this season last year 20 30s overall over the big Ro over there so tough to get that right big consequences if you get wrong as well who who that’s not something you see on every day especially not from Nino massive now one thir but we don’t see that many questions of Nino massive mistake from shter Over the barriers back on the bike looked like a soft enough Landing but it’s cost him time and you’re right in getting the legs turned on he’s one of the clever there tell pitcock goes down seem out of nowhere loses the front end Puffs the cheeks how quickly it happens constantly Riders they have to be concentrated everywhere Str very yes but it’s a very off camera section over here just a little bit too fast even if you’re leading the race what happen just taken out by a sniper route or something just the front wheel went from underneath him quick as look at it on Fourth Place and partly as well you’ve just gone down the really difficult R in this Timber section then into the off cber and you’ve just taken a bit of a recovery relax and yeah relaxing we saw we saw it with um Charlie Aldridge in our AA didn’t we just soft hands on the bars not a technical section and it’s not much for the front end just get spun around on you so often you see Riders crashing it’s on that easy bit Forest track a bit of gravel sure oh and Lars Foster down in the timber Garden arrives on the scene manages to get the bik slowed down get past him great bik riding that from Nino [Applause] sh conditions same as the European championships where he plays third there’s your leader Tom pedco the world [Applause] [Music] champion yeah he looking good how he’s paddling his power in his legs definitely endurance is not going to be an issue I’m wondering what he’s going to do in the T France they probably is going to put him out in this mountain B batt out would he take his mountain bike with him to ride it once in a while if this is what rest day maybe if this is what he does to relax just absolutely phenomenal what Tom Pitcock is able to do on just about any race bike second place for Matias Fuko from Switzerland what do you makeing this one what you makeing this one bar so much noise around not a bad Sunday yeah Max brandle was up in the mix as well but big crash in the rock garden and taking him out of contention he’s with the Medics so hoping he’s all right yeah having a brilliant day before that [Music] brandle this fly super super tough coming up to this one H finding a good line between the roots many times out of the sadle more grip now on this rear wheel you see the power he’s got just attacking that one big into that rock garden a line again for him just get pushed slightly left on the way through there say you get good exit speed if you do that a line pushes you right up onto that rock wall just about that up to 49 seconds so matz flinger it’s all about keeping it smooth faster than Nino faster than bro yeah that little py climb all these rival have to win it’s too steep back on the bike back on the bike shter Shel a little bit off running a little bit further good on The Descent he can just hold these two on this big climb up that’s a big F it’s a big F cuz we’ve seen Nino shter really turn the screw on this Ascent through out the r youo as well having a difficult day two crashes climb that you’re at your maximum and then you have to drop in and the Brain isn’t quite working right you’re get fatigued especially at the end of the race Pitcock and that’s why this say again is sexy is so hard you know it’s not just been able to ride these sections it’s been able to ride them after the climb before at full speed makes it more hard more difficult carry on his speed here in this little descent out of the settle again pushing hard on that pchy climb n push now attacking noo sh attacking but bro staying with him Shel looking like he’s on the ropes a bit now fifth place I think Shelby’s job is just to hang on to that too stay in fifth [Music] meanwhile Tom pitock getting a yellow flag just at the top of the rock [Applause] garden Medics look like they’re whiffer rider in the middle of that one y n meanwhile at the front out of the saddle sprinting for the line as if there is any need Tom hcock has been absolutely on stoppable today it was Judgment Day in crw Montana and the tominator got the job done Tom pencock takes his seventh UCI cross country Olympic World Cup win superb stuff from the British Raider the UCI world champion waiting for Matias F he must be second somewhere in front of these Riders shter looks over his shoulder sees bro knows that he needs to get a move on Canino shter hold off the big Italian to get third place at his home second place what a Class Act Matas Fluker is what a way to answer your critics Fluker heads towards the Finish Line then second place for matus Fluker he’s happy with that absolutely TOS him behind shter he won’t be able to see him Brio stands on the pedals shter has to dig deep he’s L this pair the whole way round has he got enough in the tank to get the job done lucao clicks through the gears and moves past Nino shter Luca Brio Ms Nino shter at the line for a hard fought third play sure Tom Pitcock heads ler to France with a win at the UCI cross country Olympic World Cup in crom Montana D pitcock what a double that was an exceptional Display of Power and precision talk us through it from your perspective um yeah I think uh the start was a bit better but it was just really tricky in the uh the first few laps just to get in find my own Rhythm I think uh you know we were just kind of uh getting each other’s way and uh making each other make mistakes and it was just it was a bit frustrating really and then I got my my Gap and uh my own Rhythm and then I tried to relax and then I made a few like two three mistakes on that lap when I crashed and I was like ra you need to start concentrating now there’s some big things coming up you can’t throw it all in the bin today so uh I don’t think my my team or my teammates be very happy if I uh Bin myself today by his two dogs both of whom are wearing UCI world champions jerseys [Music] you absolutely perfectly a wins a win Tom pitock Peerless today sler second BR third shter fourth and shell fifth

    1. Greedy uci. Shame on you. Even an amateur license is stupid $$$$. Where’s Rob. BART and ROB. Super exciting commentary. A lot more folks would pay to watch B&R spittin on the mic. 🎉🎉

    2. annoys me no end people are complaining about the course being dangerous. Maybe they should tune in to Spin classes for their past time, Seriously

    3. I truly enjoyed watching full race. The race for third in the last lap was solid. Pidcock is so dominant.

I liked the course. The wetness is what made it more dangerous.

    4. I think Pidcock should sit out of the upcoming Olympic, just so that other riders especially Nino would have a brighter chance to win the race.

    5. Despite all the hype about this hard course, the result was the same as the others. It was won in the climbs by the guy with the best cardio. A guy historically great in climbs got 2nd. This isn't to imply Pidcock or Flukinger don't have good tech skills, of course they do, just that all the talk about how this course would really disrupt things turned out to be completely false.

    6. Someone who has design and build that rock garden should lose his job… And it's not only about blind drop, because there are bigger drops on other WC. But to put those vertical, sharp huge rocks betwen lines, that is out this world. Someone forget that XC riders wear almost roadie helmets and any crash there can be brutal

    7. This comment section is full of whiny little bitches. It’s called mountain biking!! These guys have the skills, not every course has to be a cyclocross race
