I just got a set of the new Attaquer Intra bibs and jersey, I thought I'd post some info for those interested. I got the kit yesterday and rode it for 47 miles today in ~80F heat.

Overall I like the Intra kit. It's definitely a step down from the Race kit in fabric and construction, but it also costs less.

This will be in comparison to their "Race" jerseys and bibs:

  • The fit is about the same as their race kit. Very compressive and tight. Compared to other brands, my MAAP and Rapha Pro Team training kit is a bit looser, and my Pedal Mafia race kit is tighter.

  • The construction of the Intra kit is very different from the Race kit. is a bit different; i.e. the jerseysleeves are more raglan and shoulders are wider, but the overall fit I'd say is the same. There is lots of exposed stitching, the bib grippers are separate panels, and the chamois has an exposed edge.

  • Materials are a bit more mundane than that of the (excellent) Race kit – the Intra therefore feels more like 'regular' kit than the Race kit, which I feel is kind of special and interesting.

  • Intra has more branding than the Race but it's still pretty minimal.

one issue is that the dye seems to have bled from the bibs to my base layer. I wore a white compression base layer top and it now has black marks around the bottom and on the shoulders, so it definitely was the bibs. I've emailed the company.

  1. Intra bibs are $195? With that construction quality? No thanks, I’ll buy three pair of the ykywbike bibs with the good chamois instead.

Terrible quality for that price…no wonder that they’re putting a bunch of branding on the kit. They’re selling on the name cachet.
