2024 EM Escape X & XR Review! Enduro & trials rider, mountain biker, road racer & just for fun rider

hi there I’m de Bullock I’m Amy my name is Jack Howell my name is Simon Ingam previously competed in World trial Championship European Tri championship and the British trial Championship I’m a former youth British Championship Rider turned mountain biker when I turned 18 for about four or five years and then recently just come back into the trial scene I currently compete in the British extreme Championship I do dabble a little bit in the Championship but uh it is just for [Music] [Applause] [Music] fun so I’ve only been riding trials for about six years I’m certainly not at a competition level but I do ride for fun I I just love being out there on the bike so I’m from a road racing background after moving from road racing onto green lading into uro and now onto the em Escape XR currently in the British Electric Round [Music] [Applause] [Music] just been an hour and a half out on the uh East capap XR got to say I’m extremely impressed with normally ride a a beta uh this the power is super smooth really easy to grip really easy to control nice and lightweight I’m still in one piece I’m not exhausted as I would be if I rideing a petrol bike grin from ear to ear it is like I say an extremely well put together piece ticket when I ride the beater again I don’t really know I’m impressed with this so the Escape X which I’m riding for what I’m doing have no need to be riding with a clutch um and it just makes it no nice and smooth to me so I’m not going to panic you know pull in the clutch or anything I don’t have to use much of my back brake and I can just getting to use used to using this obviously I’ve not done anything as Extreme as these guys but I’ve still been riding for a good three hours and I’ve come back with 58% I’ve really enjoyed the day the bike’s always felt like it can it’s capable doing a lot of the things that I’ve thrown at it battery life is good I’m still on 30% now I’ve been hard riding all morning it’s really playful the only times I have been on kind of an ajuro bike it always felt real heavy and real like looking it around and whatnot so you’re naturally feel tired by the end of the day but still feel quite fresh with it just being a lightweight bike a bit lower it’s not like pulling my arms up all the time where I don’t need it to it’s just kind of doing what it needs to [Music] do yeah Mega impressed with how well it rides up the Steep Bings so playful off like tricky trees streams Rivers you name it it’ll do it the escapex has obviously got the regen break and even still really really capable like there’s some occasions on the XR with a clutch you know you can benefit from it but in a lot of stuff the uh the X for the region breaks yeah it’s Mega put a smile on my face all day which is what it’s all about
