TOUR OF BRITAIN FINAL | ISE CYCLES THE LENGTH OF WALES – 320KM

Hiii and welcome back to the channel.

In this video we take a trip from South Wales to North Wales – well, Ise cycles it! He talks abut it, but we don’t show footage here… I was swanny for the day with Flump and he got his head down to just ride… no filming.
After dreaming about it for a couple of years. He smashed a cycling goal! So proud.

We then head over to Leigh to catch the final of the Women’s Tour of Britain, which was such a rainy day – total wash out but still amazing vibes.

A little about me
Thanks for dropping by.
I’m your classic runner turned newbie cyclist.

For years I feared riding a bike – I was afraid of traffic, clipping in, couldn’t get my head around lycra, chamois cream and clambering up hills on a bike.

I didn’t believe that riding a bike would give me the same de-stress, mental download or sense of freedom that life as a long distance runner had given me before my knees ground to dust.

Fast forward to 2021 and picking up a second hand CAAD10 changed my life for the better. Not just physically and mentally. But also providing a sense of community and belonging – which is magic. The cycling community is just magic.

So I’m here. To hopefully inspire others to not fear the bike – the lycra, the clipping in. And come share the passion, freedom and indescribable joy that comes from being on the bike. I truly believe that the bike life is the best life and everyone should be able to enjoy it.

hello from Sunny le le Lee Lee Lee hello from Sunny Lee we have come to you with the final of the tour of Britain uh to see the women because yesterday uh someone cycled from South Wales all the way to North who me this guy uh 320 km in total it was something you’d always wanted to do wasn’t it I’ve wanted to do it for a really really long time and we thought why not got a spare weekend we need to get up north for the tour so let’s do it yeah let’s do it uh brilliant it was an absolutely cracking day very lucky with the weather unlike today for the poor ladies where it has been raining the Italian time you did get a little bit wet but it wasn’t too bad um the roote Lo looked absolutely phenomenal you’re you’re sming is it because you drenched I got absolutely soaked three separate times yeah but you finished with a beautiful sun set on the beach it was a good finish but the first I think it was like the first 100K it was bad bad weather as soon as it got like up into the like the proper hills and mountains they were just covered in cloud and you can just see the rain like coming in so you know it’s Wales good day though yeah the rain jacket was fun oh actually well I’ve got your best bits I asked you this before but go on top three quick fire top three top three there’s a military road which I think it’s like sometimes gets closed cuz they the milit L do all of their like exercises and practice on there yeah and that road is amazing starts with like a 15% climb like straight off the main road 15% climb yeah and then it goes into like just over the Breck and beacons um it was just amazing did you get any pcks no what second best bit second best bit Elan Valley and then third best bit I think there was another Reservoir called n Mo or something like that yeah and it was just like single track no cars uh just surrounded by Hills it was just completely silent the only people that were there was just like maybe one or two different groups like sleeping intents on the side of the lake it was amazing so I’d go back there did it pretty Swift as well Swift was the headwind slowed me down a bit not too bad though I don’t know if you can tell but I’ve got a really bad case of the sniffles never not never not the man is consistent M flu that’s not true I was like okay I’m not 100% but I’m well enough to ride so I’ll do it make me again constantly ill uh me and flump and I were swanes for the day so we drove along um and then yeah we caught him caught you halfway and then also at about 60-ish K to go looking strong looking good uh we also did find out that you did the entire ride wearing my bib shorts you put the bib shorts in my drawer so I just grabbed them oh oh so it’s my fault he was where he did 320k in my bib shorts sure okay anyway let’s just say you can’t hot wash bibs but if you could I would need to do you know what though they were a perfect fit I don’t know I’m going to just take that as my legs are getting nice and stronger and thicker so happy days I’m happy with that anyway that meant that yesterday we were camped in North Wales which is obviously ideal to kind of come over to the Manchester area really not far at all uh we’re currently waiting to get out the car and go and have a quick look at the event Village um and then we’re going to base ourselves at the final just to try and catch some of the ladies uh and we have been camped in the car stopped to get a bit of food um and so we’ve been having car picnic which has been a little bit of fruit some snack not pictures are two uh buns that have well one’s been devoured and then we’ve had the race on uh on YouTube so that’s been really good and now we need to go and breath this which is not looking so good but couple of broles from Sports Direct uh and I think it’s times like these where you definitely need to be by the side of the RO screaming because the poor girls look like they’ve been drenched so excited to see that at time of speaking Liz D’s just been caught just’s back in the group so once we put the phone away we’re not going to know how it’s going to finish really are we who’s going to win I want to say Anna Henderson you I would love to say Hon I think she’s going to do it why the if it’s a Sprint finish yeah just power is it Lauren of weebus vus is that your back in yeah interesting we’ll see we’re going to get out the car now take our broles uh and go and cheer we’ve got flump with us so let’s see how he fares he’s going to be one soggy dog um so the car ride back down to Bam sh is going to stink [Music] this is the supporters [Music] Village so we’ve realized that this is actually the Finish we don’t need to walk anywhere it is right here in the middle of town center well no not Town Center by like a beyond that is straight Road got the big screen H stage finishes at the end amazing see them and then start by reminding you the most dominant Sprinter of the modern era of world so close got little flags at the ready she’s given the opportunity one of the fans has got a cat umbrella which looks exactly like our cat so that 20 minutes to go now crank sorry was that saying go on about 5 ago the dog curently had [Music] [Laughter] [Music] tiran the rain is have yet and there’s actually a few uh Corners that the Riders have got to do before they come through the finish line so wet conditions flat and fast [Music] W go on wet oh my God that was so rapid look how bad the weather is little dogs in rain jackets that is too cute oh my God that was so fast so Furious we don’t know what happened what do you think happened I think lur via sprinted and then realized she wanted to give the points to a teammate but then someone else got the points we don’t know we don’t know we actually couldn’t even tell but it was something funny went on yeah unreal such a shame that the weather is so bad for the Riders and obviously for the fans as well there’s a lot of people heing off now uh but what brilliant day you know what I mean but at the end of the day I think the state of the flags is a sign of the sog someone kicking off classic North kicking off love it he’s missed it now I didn’t know he’s having a fight we’re heading back to the car now over there is all the Vans where all the cyclists have been heading off to you can see Esty Works has got its own tent on the go look at that fuel van I feel like a little weirdo like P and I it from over here but all the cyclists have be all the women have basically come around there and then gone into their vans so amazing so close it’s so far one day I’ll will be brave enough to be like hi can I come and get an interview with you how was it but yeah you can see some of the riders coming off here now look amazing what a load of racing that has been about there knacked
