Did an 85km ride today, my longest. I relied on the clouds but they betrayed me today. My eyes are also red from the dust that kept flying in them, I need to use my wind goggles.
I realise now why professional cyclists are all geared up.

Profesional cyclists doesn’t wear short sleeves? You need to embrace your tanlines if you’re to ride outside, its impossible to avoid them.
Sunscreen?
Apply sun cream spf 50. It’s must have at least on arms in summer.
Or enjoy your cyclist tan…
A badge on honor
Who cares, you can get some harmless basal cell carc removed later
There’s actually no correlation between the deadly melanoma and sun exposure, pretty much all the cancer from sun exposure is a 100% survival rate basal cell
I honestly think people are probably better off getting burnt than smearing chemicals and heavy metals on their skin every day
Lulz I stick factor 30 on my arms before i ride to work (30 mins). Not worth risking it
I wear separate cooling arm sleeves. Work better for me than long sleeve jerseys
One of the top rules of cycling etiquette. “Keep the tan lines sharp!”
LOL.
As a fellow Indian my arms have been like this most of my life 😅.
You can still get burnt through the clouds
Welcome, fellow tractor driver.
I’d recommend sunscreen but particularly a sports one thats usually alcohol based. Won’t block your pours so you can still sweat.
Any sunscreen is great though
Use sunscreen
Skin is precious! don’t abuse it in the sun. I wear sun cream and full length jerseys!
As a construction worker for 20 years you’ll get used to it lol
My tan lines are a badge of honor and I will ruthlessly maintain them
they make sun screen lotion that specially formulated for cyclists. it actually increases your aerodyna… NAHHHHH who am i kidding its just regular sunblock
What are we supposed to be looking at?
RULE #7 // Tan lines should be cultivated and kept razor sharp.Under no circumstances should one be rolling up their sleeves or shorts in an effort to somehow diminish one’s [tan lines](http://velominati.com/content/Photos/own%20your%20guns.jpg). Sleeveless jerseys are under no circumstances to be employed.
UV sleeves are amazing. No more stopping every 80 minutes to reapply sunscreen and somehow it makes my arms just feel cool all the time.
