The new UCI Mountain Bike World Series includes the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for Cross-country Olympic (XCO), Cross-country Short Track (XCC), Cross-country Marathon (XCM), Downhill (DHI), Enduro (EDR) and E-enduro (E-EDR).

[Music] the Swiss Manon range we’ve landed in may look like a chocolate box cover but believe me the tracks in this brand new cross country venue are far from sweet or indulgent add to that a volatile mix of riders trying to Peak for Paris and those pushing for World Cup glory and we have a feast of action for you this weekend in K Montana it is round five of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup let’s tuck in so an assful Sprint up the hill before a tight left hand turn heads up into the tree line and then two really fast wickedly off camber descent leads them back onto the black top again and they can Sprint then uphill towards the start finish circuit Alexandra Keller Swiss fans packing this place w a big result from her today the lights are red and then they turn green and they are green for go Keller off the line cleanly as is to as is undergound up the middle C Peterson in the blue and the number seven bike moving backwards slightly Lan Lon the number 16 in the national champions Jersey off front this first climb o absolutely essential yeah it’s a long climb going to take about a minute and a half before they they hit the woods and it’s really essential so to leads them into this Red Bull roots and rules section for the first time and has been Carnage on here last night o in the under 23 short track race P Peterson though nicely done Keller Hing in on her back wheel there’s L as well continuing her progress are they all going to make it down here safely Samara Maxwell in the black and white of New Zealand yeah Gwen getsum as well good short track rer just moving up huge impact huge huge crash for the MC Ridley Rider there Switzerland it’s hosted around every season since 1991 big big home across country and there is Lan laup now making a break for out front for the canyon Collective tough little climb this to drop down and then it just kicks up traction is low OE there’s been absolutely Carnage during practice all week long here in crom Montana the courses here really really technical well are really really severe but one woman who has been licking her lips all week long Lana L comp has been loving this place hasn’t she I spent hours in the woods a couple of days ago just watching all the Riders tackle the most technical featur back in the kind of 20s at one point but she managed to work away and I think on this course you can you can almost hop from group to group P Peterson now is she going to try and make a break for it on this descent she’s got ahead of L comp at the top of that climb and is now forcing the issue at the front of this one and you can see that section before how sticky it is and still really slippery and if you get in the shade it just hasn’t dried out the pace of this one has just been upped by the flying dutchwoman cook Peterson so back of that group making a front group of six he’s doing a cracking ride this evening 179 baits per minute then for pck Peters as again she UPS the pace at the front of this one Lan L comp on the number 16 Canyon behind her staying close Gibson has gone past T So as our good colleague Bart Brenin would say bit of Pac-Man racing here from gwendel and Gibson just one Rider at a time yeah and you can Rider in red and white on your screen n Keller looks like she’s in The Hurt Locker the comp taking a little break just getting one of those micro recoveries you always talk about Ollie yeah but Pet’s a face like locked on full concentration but it is it’s so much about this little descent if you can just have 5 Seconds just stop pedaling come off the gas relax a little bit make such a big difference you certainly would need to ahead of this Red Bull roots and rules section in the wet yesterday we were kind of calling it the shot of Doom wer it was full shaps all the way down it yeah it was so I mean yesterday there’s little traction for the under 23 races these Elite races got oh and this is going to be full pain now tabba just hanging on there and we have gone from poker faces to pain faces here in crom Montana as Puck Peterson battles her way to the top of the very last climb ahead of her compatriot on AER then it’s Lana LM then it’s Alexandra Keller Gibson has been distance she’s in [Music] fifth what a display this has been from PK Peterson she welled that attack of anber and the bottom of that clim and smart riding from P Peters say she just sat the back of that group got a bit of recovery going through the start finish by did a Time Peterson attacking onto the Asel for the last time here in crom Montana oh now L winding it up it’s a long long drag up to the Finish Peterson stands on the pedals heads up through the time Center she’s going across the line Puck bearon takes her second UCI cross country short track World Cup in a row behind her as an b k takes her ahead what a race what a clinical race a tactical race in a powerful race Puck congrats tell us about it thanks it was indeed very tactical still uh every time uh especially on the last part of the climb we went all in and then yeah in The Descent it stayed quite together and because of that on the road it was just a bit looking at each other and the back of the pack coming back but of course I knew yeah they uh would have to push really hard to come back every time and we saved the energy from The Climb yeah Alandra and uh Anna and uh Lana were so strong you just uh saw after a few laps already that it would be between us but luckily I could profit of Anna attack a bit and I went uh as we say in Dutch theop Ander over how important was it to stay patient and uh drop into that descent calm and composed oh really important it’s the feeling I wasn’t maybe the fastest in the desense I didn’t want to take any big risks if it was not uh not necessary uh so I just tried to have a gap on the top of the climb but I didn’t know if it was there till we uh went into the last steep shoot uh so then I knew I could take it a bit more conservative to uh yeah just to stay on my bike and Sprint finish Sprint finish how good does that feeli to start the weekend with a win really good I’m happy about the start uh let’s hope for uh such good Le tomorrow as well congratulations well done thank you here are your results then pck Peterson takes the win ahead of Alexander Keller on a Tyber Lan comp WI Gibson rounds at the top five then [Music]
