I am still getting to grips with this sport so trying to learn as much as possible: curious as to why do they keep looking back instead of putting their head down and pedalling hard? is it to gauge how much harder they need to push or more to see if their teammates are coming? It seemed like they were looking back every 2 seconds

Too many corners
To put his victory in context for a 16 year old. The stage is slightly hilly but the average speed was around 43,8km/h. The recent Tour de Femmes had a flat stage 4 over a similar distance with the average speed being 38,1km/h. Not saying female cycling is slow, but hell these young boys are fast 😳
