I know there will be opinions on both sides, but what's the latest consensus on wearing yeah kit, especially as a sign of appreciation or support? I've been especially tempted by some of the EF stuff that's not the actual kit, but the "training" gear and stuff. Or do you maybe pick one up you really like and wait a few seasons to wear it?

What is current or best etiquette? We already get ribbed for being pretend pros. How much worse does this make it?

Side note: Besides EF, does anyone make good alternative kits? That would probably be the biggest thing from me wearing any of these anyway, don't need to be a rolling billboard.

  1. The kit you included here is pretty cool. I would feel a bit embarrassed to show up to a group ride covered in brands that sponsor someone else.

AG2R is currently selling a “30 years of emotions” jersey that’s more understated, although more branded than the EF kit.

Visma has a “Fan peloton cycling jersey” that’s actually kinda cool. The fit looks a bit wack in the pictures though.

  2. believeinxtacy on

I’m not sure what other people think but some teams have really cool looking kits. I don’t own one just because the one I want isn’t available to buy in my country. If I had it, I specifically wouldn’t wear it at races.

Anywho the kit is Canyon SRAM. I want one so bad haha

  3. Generally looked down upon to wear pro team from my experience, at least in the US. Couldn’t disagree more, wear what YOU like. You may catch a little shit from idiots though, haha
