This is the oldest jersey I've got, or at least had the longest. I do have a classic 7-Eleven jersey acquired on eBay later, but this one I bought in person back in 1999. It is a alternative black TDF jersey for the ONCE team as their usual yellow clashed with the leaders jersey. I rode 135 km from Manchester to Chester and back to buy the kit from a not so local shop in the days before online everything. That was the furthest I had ever ridden and would remain so for another 14 years.
Over the years I've picked up many short sleeved jerseys but they never wear out as most of them are lucky to see two rides a summer. Unlike bibs that see all the wear year round and just aren't supportive anymore. Also luckily my chest is still the same size it was back then, if not my belly. You can tell how cold and or wet a summer it is by how slowly I get through my rota. What is your oldest piece of kit still in regular or occasional wear?
