TBF I felt a bit sorry for this lady with her family in the car, and if anyone was likely to listen about using the phone, it would probably be her (Assuming I talked to her and didn’t report). Nevertheless, I have to treat her the same way I treat all the other phone drivers I get good evidence for. It raises the question of whether you should report nice people for these traffic offences. My opinion is that you should report all equally, regardless of how nice they are or are not.

You can report road crime online here in London: https://www.met.police.uk/ro/report/rti/rti-a/report-a-road-traffic-incident/
In the rest of the UK you can use the NextBase Portal to find your local force submission portal:

    1. Yet more evidence that using a phone in that kind of traffic is not the no-risk activity some people claim it is. She had less of a clue what was going on around her than her passenger did. Hang up and drive.

    2. TBF I felt a bit sorry for this lady with her family in the car, and if anyone was likely to listen about using the phone, it would probably be her …………………………………No no Mikey, don't show a weakness for older ladys breaking the law, she breaking the law just like the shouty arrogant ones we love watching so much.

    3. An a OAP myself I find my reaction time has slowed down compared to when I was much younger and the old lady on phone while driving is more likely to be involved in a accident.

    4. Even more responsibility with your family right in there with you regardless of age – no excuses and no sympathy tbh

    5. I love that the universal gesture for putting the phone down is the pinkie and the thumb spread outwards, and the hand lowered in a downward motion! When was the last time anyone had a phone that actually did that? LOL!

    6. What makes you think she's nice, just because she's old? For a start she's a law breaker. She may otherwise be nice, but she could be vile for all you know.

    7. It's habitual. Out for a run yesterday, 50+ lady playing with her fondle-slab. I shouted to put it down, she jumped and braked. It's pure cognitive dissonance.

    8. If you are a grandmother, great grandmother, grandfather, great grandfather, father, mother, sister, brother, son, daughter, uncle or aunt etc who phone drives Cycling Mikey WILL get you. There is no hiding place from Cycling Mikey He is your worst nightmare. There is no way you will ever escape his justice.

    9. Why feel sorry? Totally unaware of what is happening around her – look at the gap!!!! THAT is exactly the reason I spend so long waiting to get through lights when they change and nobody moves or I sit waiting at junctions because people are too busy dicking about with their phones.
