I arrived in Land’s End with no idea of the adventure before me I turned my bike away from the Atlantic and started pedaling North [Music] [Music] My Mind Set On The Great British divide Crossing three countries primarily off-road over 2,000 kmet with more elevation than you might expect little did I know that one of the coldest and rainiest Springs in England was waiting [Music] [Music] the first day of sun quickly gave way to rain and haill storms blown across the Cornwall Bluffs by blistering wind [Music] [Music] not feeling super hot it’s pretty gross um yeah the uh the roads are flooded I don’t know if you can see but it’s basically it’s basically over um feel like I made a bit of a mistake on the timing and the weather this go around [Music] [Laughter] some pretty serious clouds behind me but it’s sunny right here it’s glorious it’s been it snowed yesterday uh so this is a nice change it’s hailing now um I’m taking shelter behind a little bit of a bush just cuz I don’t want to get all my ring gear on cuz it’s that’s nice thing at least for this way WEA it like it’ll dump rain for 10 minutes and then just be dry again for an hour which is a bonus but uh yeah [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] this is insane I was like in a bad mood because of the rain and the mud and then like 10 seconds later look at [Music] this that’s the track um pretty slow going it’s just like Mossy grass and since it’s so wet as soon as I try to ride the bike just sinks in so either I’m pushing or I’m in my lowest gear just spinning like crazy I’m just to keep my speed up a little bit uh the rain’s not really helping but it is super super pretty um I’m in xmore National Park it’s beautiful [Music] [Laughter] is [Music] [Music] no my food not to fear moments later one of my amazing worm showers hosts invited me inside for some [Music] dinner good morning [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] pedaling into whales was the first big milestone and lifted my spirits as I started to explore a country that was unexpectedly beautiful and filled with many a quiet Gravel Road [Music] hey [Music] I’m about to come over the crest into Breen beacons and it’s really windy but kind of feels like I’m on top of the world up here [Music] [Music] hey [Music] hey [Music] [Music] I’m on my way to aoi um that’s off the route and hopefully it’s open because this is River Crossing of number one at least out of three three or four I think so it better be worth [Music] it yes it’s open and so dry oh my God I’m so happy right now I can’t even tell you it started raining my toes are going numb um I’m so tired it was a good day though it’s so nice to come to this and I have plenty of food so I think I’ll stay tomorrow as [Music] well [Music] for e [Music] good morning it’s uh 2° 40 mph winds and as you can see raining but I am about to cross the border back into England after riding across all of Wales in about a week which feels pretty awesome can’t see it but uh snowed again this morning I uh forgot to mention it’s officially gale force winds today which is super fun I don’t even know if you can hear me um but yeah it’s it’s blowing around pretty good it’s about a degree above freezing so be honest I’m in my lowest gear just to go straight on flat ground because it’s a headwind so riding through moss covered Evergreens the sun came out for the first time in days as if to welcome me into Scotland [Music] so I’m in a bit more of the remote part of Scotland now um I absolutely love it here it’s beautiful the weather’s been a little bit nicer the last few days um I had a amazing Camp spot last night right by the right by the water um this morning though I had some sort of mild food poisoning I think I don’t really know but basically just had to sit with my head between my knees for like two hours um managed not to throw up but it was pretty close and so I think I’m going to take a little bit of a detour today and just stay on this nice paved paved track for a while to AI um instead of camping again yeah [Music] the highlands and mountains were the high point of my journey so to speak and aside from wind parched lips the last days treated me to Sun and some of the best views I’ve had on a bike [Music] in [Music] [Laughter] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] I may not have had the best of luck with the weather but I’ll never forget pedaling North
