Ok, I'm convinced, I won't use it in the city.
You should hire professional bike stealer for this job.
This is a marketing thing, bike makers are fine with bikes stolen to create more demand. Otherwise all crank sets would have a key lock you can just stop ability to spin chain. E bikes – will that's simple and already being implemented in several ways. OR we can just take all the bikes in china's dumps and give them out. now everyone got a bike 🙂
D-lock with the extension cable and use a disk brake lock on the rear tire and an alarm and a tracker, and think about where and when you want to lock it up, plus don’t leave it unattended for long.
what works for me 100% is i ride cheap, basic model bike using cheap lock
how do you lock a bike up while camping? ive got a wild idea of riding a road bike and take a tent with me living off-grid in nature but how do i sleep in my tent while the bike is outside of the tent?
the reflective safety vest is not worn as a daredevil fashion accessory. It is a Cloak of Invisibility. You wear one of those, you are immediately ignored by most people as just being the Help. They assume you have a job to do, and you are doing it, they don't care about you and they aren't about to intervene. You can literally walk off the street and into a high security building if you have the right confidence, and the vest.
I wrap my heavy chain lock through my frame and around my seat post when not in use. I add an alarmed disc lock to the front wheel too, they are small to carry.
Imagine if theft was still prosecuted ..
Imagine if anyone gave a crap…
Say I am looking to lock my bike at a long row of bike stands, like 10-15 meters, how much better would that be than locking it on a "bulk parking lot" like the one at 8:55?
how much time and money we loose and waste in our lifes just because of those few bad people trying to steal or hurt us is incredible and so sad.
No lock is pickproof and Lock Picking Lawyer is the living proof
I've noticed u have something for your keys whats that called?
I have driven 100 km with my chain lock and 1,5 litres of water in my bag, at the end of the day my back just stopped working, that’s how I found out that heavy locks are not very good for long distance trips
Good video. Very informative. Have you done a video on hiding apple airtags etc. within the bike frame? If not, what are your thoughts on doing so?
If you put it over the railing like you did a thief need only bring a bungee or cord and secure it and then angle grinder and lock is gone and bike is gone, I think it actually provides the thief with more cover rather than less.
Thievees will also put glue etc in the locks so you can take your bike, so you leave and then the thief comes in and bikes gone, in fact they do this to all the bikes in the stand and have been known to take the whole damn lot of bikes there at once. Also watch for cuts and breaks in the bike stand, they will precut and you come along and don't notice and your bike is gone. So if you have to be away from your bike to go get a grinder etc, make sure you just get a friend/family to stay and watch for the time it takes.
😂 Well I hope you gave your bike back to yourself.
Shows a society in decline.
"It's not even an e bike"😂
