Why do so many drivers not understand Merge in Turn?

Ive said it before and ill say it again "it would be better to not sign post which lane is closed and let drivers merge in turn without getting uppity about some one doing it properly", no doubt i will be saying it again in the near future coz thats how i roll.

People just don't get the merge in turn rule and cause more delays.

There needs to be a TV campaign to teach about about merge in turn.

I dont blame the recovery truck driver in the last clip, why cant the arrogant just wait, like he had to when no one let him in, merge in turn does not work in this country, it just winds drivers up, you wouldn't go to the front of the que in supermarket and expect someone to let you in

In all seriousness, he was complaining about a lack of merge-in-turn yet his first instinct was to go on the internet and check the status of the vehicle that cut across him rather than just let a bit of poor driving go.

@6:10, for all they knew, you wanted to turn left, into a road or driveway and not continue straight up the road.

Yet another great example of drivers not understanding how to use the full lengh of the road to merge in turn.

1:22 All the info is in the Lines. Longer they are the higher the risk. Solid means crazy and illegal. It's not that difficult. I guess in the past they'd be canon fodder in some battle.

I think, so many of the cammers on here should just throw their dashcams away, chill, move on, and get on with their lives instead of obsessing with a non-event.

The merge in turn at the end was just laughable, I would be on the horn to those fools all cus they don't know how to use all road space, if they just used that lane to the left before it merged then there wouldn't be a long queue, everything is see people blocking that lane which is empty like the recovery truck needs to get a life and look up the highway code, 9ne of the most annoying things on our roads, the dreaded merge in turn, people just don't understand 😅😅🙄🙄

back in the 1980's I drove a road sweeper from the early 70's on the surface dressing gangs. The early ones had two sets of controls and you were supposed to drive to the job sitting on the right, then throw a lever to swap the hydraulics and sweep sitting on the left. Both steering wheels would turn together no matter what. We just drove everywhere sitting on the left. I had a big Alsatian at the time, imagine the look on peoples faces when they glanced into the cab saw a steering wheel turning with a dog sat behind it. Classic.
