We Stayed at The Grand Hotel in Scarborough – We Were Shocked!

As the van is in the garage we decided to spend the night in Scarborough’s worst rated Hotel. We also tried fish and chips at the Lifeboat Fishbar and were blown away by how good they were. Did they take the top spot? You will have to watch the video to find out!

got here at 3:30 and he says your room’s not ready so we’re just Milling around but it gives us chance to have a look around we’re not morning so I’ve already lost Helen and she’s just rung me she says she’s in the bar what a surprise so let’s go and try and find her she’s got it’s a baby one it’s a baby one she’s got us Ares what you got a Guinness yeah what were you rabbiting about I was just you’re I’m going to read it all I’m surprised you’ve not wanted to read the instructions what how to open the door oh we’ve got a window nice I thought we didn’t have a window got a see view hey this is nice this is nice well look at this look at this wow you think they’d cut grass wouldn’t you well I think this is gray I’m liking it yeah it’s a massive room it is I like the old radiator for for 50 Quid and apparently when I booked this online it was a room with no window but we’ve got a window let’s have a look at the bathroom at that it’s got a Jacuzzi jaot it’s got a jaot oh my God jaot but does it work hey what was that hotel we stayed in it’s got an attic that’s where murderers come down at night uh where was that hotel we stayed in and it was like this but it wasn’t working oh there’s been so many hel well oh iron in Bard and and iron spare pillow spare pillows iron coat hungers well I’m impressed oh look mini bar it’s empty it’s good to know you were coming oh God I bet you got them to clear it out did I says look mate like that’s a massive bed are you going to test the bed don’t no you might break it Ellen what your shoes on bed is it all right yeah it’s a massive bed I’ve got to say oh I’ve got to listen to Helen we in IT background I’ve got to say I’m impressed for what we paid for this and I already thinking it were going to be an absolute dump and I were going to try and think oh I’ve got to try and make it look good or uh you know got to be positive it’s going to be really bad but you know what spot on absolutely spot on this room for what we’ve paid so that’s put me in a good mood let’s look through window again we always in a good mood we are we’ll look through window and you get you even get a sanitized remote control anyone in this room who floor oh I hate spit I know so we’re out we’re out out it’s nearly dark already but is in it’s it what it’s about it’s nearly 5:00 we got to go you know what we need to make the most of it because today is the last day where it’s going to be light cuz the clocks go back tonight you get a whole extra hour with me oh my God so where you oh look at se coming out road so we just ride that corner just ride from all bird crap follow me hel Bobs I’m I tell you what though I’m pleasantly surprised with that room I I wouldn’t I don’t care where we stay as long as I’m with you well we just want to be together we do we were expecting something some box thing with no windows cuz we’ve been preparing ourselves for it all way here saying oh look it’s going to be well dodgy but we’ll have fun and yeah but let’s face it you live in a van so a hotel is luur nice nice room isn’t it yes it’s gorgeous so and it’s got and like the radiator was on the radiator were on that’s a bonus it is because do you know nowadays nobody can afford heating anymore can they I’m not turning mine on until December I know my children are accusing me of child abuse but I just say get some more clothes on put your coat on so I think it’s time for fishing chips don’t you yes please oh on watch it’s right stop panicing only a bit of water oh honestly you keep saying that anyway right anyway yeah this is where we should have got a packet of like fish fingers and I should have thrown it in your face where are you you right so we’re going for fishing chips and I’m looking forward to this one because out of all the reviews for fish and chip restaurants I’ve never seen one get as high score as this so on Google it’s got 4.9 for over 750 reviews which is fantastic for Google reviews that’s can’t be all the mat can it no it can’t be the M now I normally have my favorite fish and chip shopping scabra which is the one right on the front called fish bar I think what with me Tim’s been in there and it is great I love it but I want to try this one which is just around the corner so we’ll take you with this we starving AR we oh yeah so it’ll probably be 11 out of time it might be he always nicer when you’re soggy it’s crispy the fish is well cooked is it it’s not dry it is moist I know that that’s a very offensive word to a lot of people moist just get it eaten it’s sick star in here yeah you got [Music]
