you know what I realized we did not demo the garage yet uhoh yeah we haven’t done anything in here still smells pretty bad oh that doesn’t look great no strawberry gam 1994 oh they’re leaking all of them now I got Blackberry juices in my garage this has been our storage unit and eventually this will not be our storage unit so we have our chairs they look a little rough don’t judge we are reupholstering them we have our picture frames here we have I don’t even know what those things are just just stuff got this metal bin and also other keepsakes like I kept the light from the entrance it’s like a solid brass right yeah it’s pretty cool oh those are dirty yeah so we’re just going to drop them and then nasty yeah I have found the original tags for the chairs they kept them on them no way yeah can you hold this oh wow all new material so these are the two tags I found it’s from small and boy limited the brand look at those bottom one is some sort of straw material you don’t see that every day hopefully there’s no rat in in there probably is yeah this garage is looking a little full yeah put my shades on so for some reason we have an electrical wire here very cool very fancy see feel like we should keep it have we ever opened this door before no does it open you might need to pry it open honestly the whole garage might fall down if you open this [Music] hello oh we’re taking that off secured I don’t know if that’s how that works it opens this way you were so proud of yourself for a second too I saw [Music] it do you have a fun fact Dr us yeah so I think we both knew that this garage had a lot of water in it and once we took off these panels to our surprise there was a lot of water behind them and when I hit this and do the stick test it sounds really Hollow and it goes right through the wood so this is fortunately the only place in our house where we actually have rot and rotted wood because there was just standing water here for many years luckily it’s a single story garage so we can replace it really easily [Music] here I who fold out yeah why we got this house second time this part of it is done now we just need to get rid of this I got you a gift first contractors you can hear them and they’re cutting down our trees there’s a good reason as to why they’re cutting down each and every tree yeah I’m we’re not cutting down these trees just for fun we’re like hey let’s just get rid of them no there are reasons like one we need to get access to the full property of our house we can’t you know put new windows in without them out of the way we also need the front yard in order to put Lumber all our steel beams there so we can get a crane in there so we can put the steel beams in the house like the trees was wreaking havoc to our foundation because it had big Roots like our pretty rocks so at the front of our house we have these pretty rocks at our staircase and one of the trees because we live on a rock the tree is TR Roots they just go outwards and it went through the pavement and it’s actually cracking all of this at the front stairs so we needed to mitigate that yeah we had to get rid of that tree one of the trees fell down during a windstorm and they propped it back up yeah the last owner she really liked her trees and instead of getting rid of a tree that fell over she’s like just just push it back up so that one had to go cuz it was a risk well it fell in the power lines and we don’t want that to happen again no I also don’t want it to fall in my house either we are going to be planting trees afterwards so it’s not like I’m just going to have a bare plot of land in the middle of a forest all in due time they will come back it’s just fortunately it has to get worse before it gets better in the [Music] situation I like this I think it’s going to be so good for the house it’s going to dry it out more give us more room to work less Havoc for the pool and the hot tub want I just realized the pool has been it got destroyed from that tree already it already looks disgusting so yeah when we have a pool and a hot tub in the future you will thank me well they’re going to be a while so I think you want to go for a bike ride let’s go for a bike ride this is actually so nice someone actually working on our home that’s not us like we can go out do things come back and then it’s like done it’s amazing this our first time first time we can’t get too used to this because this is like one of the very few times we’ll have people here working on the house but I can see why people hire people it’s nice very [Music] convenient there is a life I in this city hurry in the cup my te I can take what I need to get by doesn’t make it easy theie of my heart slow somewhere in the so our tree friends left not really sure why there is a wasas over there I don’t really want to get too close so maybe that scared them away or maybe it could have been the end of the work day I don’t know I don’t think so oh only 5:00 anyways do you want to see what they did it’s ugly it’s not nice but again got to get worse before it gets better a twig no it’s a totem pole any more thoughts Jen yeah we didn’t get any words from the city today we just got ignored and usually they’re they’re pretty fast at denying us so either there’s nothing to deny yeah like that’s the good point nothing to deny or we didn’t submit it no I definitely submitted it okay then I feel like that’s good news we haven’t heard from the city because we submitted it last Thursday it is now Tuesday yeah usually we’re denied within like two days three days yeah I think we actually might get our permit I don’t know when but I think we actually got past the first round this time that’s pretty good I hope so we got to face the final boss what time is our tree friends coming back tomorrow probably like 5:00 a.m. just like today I have great news when the tree people came back thank goodness other news we heard back kind of from the city we didn’t hear that we were denied but we didn’t hear that we were accepted and we talking to a new person so I think we finally got past the first round screening woohoo yeah it only took us four times four times four times and they’re still asking for more information they’re asking like how far are when is from like the neighbor’s window kind of crazy other news I filmed them you know chopping down the trees this morning so here’s some [Music] footage probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen he’s like 200 ft up a tree hanging in there vibing with a massive chainsaw [Music] what a guy what ay I could never do that that was entertaining right yeah very it was good footage hopefully anyways they’re back and they’re going to cut more trees down those two trees that one and that one yeah those are coming down because they’re blocking my view you tell them of the other house I think he going to be cutting for a while so yeah my tree friend is now down in the tree down there he’s getting it prepared and he is going to be tipping it over onto our property which concerns me because they’re not taking it away we have to deal with the problem yeah and I don’t know how we’re getting two ginormous trees out of our backyard he’s not having a good time in the tree no he doesn’t like the tree this is a bad tree the difficulty is that our neighbors’s lot is down there and the tree naturally wants to roll down there so they can’t just fall it in that direction yeah so they’re going going to use this Pine in this corner here they’re going to attach a rope to this thing using a pulley and they’re going to fell this tree in this direction using the pine tree as leverage so right here right here oh they were you know walking around doing this sort of fancy stuff I don’t know what they were doing but they’re like you hold your hand like this it’s fine I don’t know what that means they’re going to put some wedges in there some potato wedges yeah I love potato wedges plot twist the tree they tied it to this goes down the hill I’d be scared yeah that’s not my tree that’s my neighbor’s tree they’re going to sue me I think it’s a strong tree where did you find these guys I found them on Craigslist here it coming he ready help on top here it come nice one [Laughter] it looks a lot bigger now that it’s laying flat that’s insane where we going to put it no idea [Music] I don’t even know what to say right now how’s the view I don’t think this is even the same house anymore really oh my God let me see what do you think I’m like speechless like I wasn’t I knew we’d get a nicer view REM me those trees but oh my gosh do you want to do a grand reveal that’s incredible I never thought I’d have a view like this in my life what do you think Jen we have the same view as our neighbors I’m so excited about that so unfortunately the honeymoon phase faded pretty fast once we realized that we have two trees down at the bottom of a hill of our property that we have to move now we don’t know what to do with them yeah we spent the last hour going back and forth and phoning and just researching and we have decided that we are going to get bin number nine instead of a chipper I guess I could explain the chipper but it was 400 lb and there’s no way we could move a 400 lb chipper down the hill so our only option is to put everything into a bin get another bin yeah you guys want to see what it looks like down there that is terrifying I got a bin this is bin number eight I believe eight or nine we lost track yeah we’re getting so many bins we don’t even know what bin this is but we found bin there which honestly the best name in the world like who names a bin company bin there it’s pretty sweet I wish I thought of that but anyways cat in there well because they had German Shepherds before I don’t think a German Shepherd would fit in there unless they cremated it could be maybe that’s why there’s like a bit of a hump here H rip so this is officially our first night shift that doesn’t mean we’re going to go all night we’re pretty much just going to go until it gets dark here because we made a little mistake or not really a mistake but we got the been here and then we scheduled someone to come get the piano because we decided we we’re we can’t keep the piano someone’s actually coming to get the piano in like a day and a half so we need to get this bin completely full and out before piano movers come and that’s in like 36 hours 36 hours I mean to be fair it’s not like we planned the piano to be gone yeah we listed it and no one was messaging us for a week and then all of a sudden someone’s like y I’ll come tomorrow I’ll give you guys the deposit that’s okay right yeah and we’re like we can’t say no to that no and it’s going to be on a movie yeah it’s going to a movie set it’s pretty cool two no sleep on things run dry on empty [Music] I can’t see I’m blinded by this concrete and I should call you and see what you’ve been on to I’ve been wondering how far did you go in seven months I bet you’re happy and don’t think that much about me here I am not long I to move without you with you [Music] you face all good anxiety it is 8:00 a.m. we’re going to try that thing where people people work before it gets too hot where’s your just smile white cuz I got everything I need but not what I wanted cuz I just wanted you and if I could I’d leave the city too I don’t blame you and I should call you see what you’ve been up to I’ve been wondering how far did you go in seven months I bet you’re happy and don’t think that much about me here I am not know how to move on without you you you you you [Music] you you you you nosy Nick is now in the bin and he’s going to jump up and down to smush it so 5 days ago we cleaned this garage I honestly forgot that we did this like look how good this looks wow I know we’ve done a lot so we did this you guys I don’t know if I showed you guys what it looked like other thing we did we ripped up half the flooring um good yeah it was a lot harder than it look so we quit and then last thing we did we finished the bottom here and now it looks exactly like it did before the Tre went Kaboom wow again that was like a lot of work a lot of work I never want to do that again
