Athletes from the Great Britain World Class Paralympic Programme preview this weekend’s 2024 World Triathlon Para Series Swansea.
it’s super cool to be part of Swansea I’ve kind of seen all the work that’s gone on behind the scenes and how much effort’s been put into you know making it the best event that we possibly can um the fact that it’s a standalone power event it is super special and it just shows British triathlon’s passion around par Triathlon Swansea is going to be the second to last race before the game so it’s just going to be great to go through the process of racing and make sure that I’m as best prepared as I can be come Paris Sans is a good one um it’s home race you can’t really beat them um you everyone turns up rain or shine it’s great because people competitors turn up as well and I’ve had a good couple of races there and hope to do well this year Swansea for me is very important so currently I’m sitting just outside of the automatic slots for the game so can be a big Point scorer for me uh it’s definitely aim to try and put a lot into that bike and just keep the swim and run where I know that I can do and putting it all together in a race at Swansea is definitely what I aim to do it’s it’s getting stronger in my category be good to really test myself against the best in the world I’ve just been trying to take the races one at a time but in fact that it’s AR just down the road it just means that we get that Home Advantage with athletes coming all across the world obviously sometimes the weather’s not great but we’re used to that good opportunity to develop the sport and we have the Super Series race alongside which helps athletes coming in into to something to Aspire to and I think that’s really important I want to have that experience I want to have a go to Paris and have a race that Brooke and I my guide can be proud of that we swim bike and run as as fast as we possibly can and I think if we do that I certainly think we’re going to be in the mix of the medals the thing that’s really special about Triathlon is actually you have all abilities under one root and I think hopefully will’ll Inspire the next generation of young ones coming through but ALS so I think it’s just amazing that people are getting in and getting involved and giving it a try and hopefully they’ll realize how cool Scorch is and want to do more
