More than 30 veterans gathered at the British Normandy Memorial for the 80th anniversary of D-Day. Two veterans read from a poem and cited words from a famous war epitaph.
After wreaths were laid, three cheers were given for the veterans. The Marseillaise was played, followed by God Save the King. During the British national anthem, the Red Arrows conducted a flypast with their red, white and blue colours.

Many many thanks to each one of you veterans for your incredible service/sacrifice on the battlefield of Normandy 80 yrs ago this very day June 6, 2024. It’s unbelievable that you did what you did. War was never a plan of the Almighty Gods government. But rt now I’m utterly grateful for you saving our country’s democracy. 1 of the veterans stated that freedom isn’t really free. Look at how many lives of the veterans were lost! 💔😢That’s really sad but true. May Almighty God remember you all when the resurrection takes place in reality. Amen 🙏

It’s great all the major politicians around the world attend and so they should. However, I cannot help but feel they are hypocrites. Look at all the homeless veterans on the streets, the politicians should put their money where their mouths are and give our heros a proper home to live out their lives safely in. After all, war is the failure of politicians and our heros have no choice but go where they are sent They put their physical and mental health on the line when they serve for each and every one of us. They should be treated las the heros they are.

This poem always brings tears to my eyes. My father fought in WW 11 in the Canadian army and my uncle always said "he came home a different man"…he used to laugh…..wonderful to hear this veteran speak those lines.
Those veterans also has great faith, American last Godly generation, endured so many difficulties. Not like now Western soldiers strong bodies, well equipped, nutritious, well training but mentally spiritually broken, they forgot God.
Very rarely WW2 veterans have PTSD, they fight more dangerous brutal and yet survive. So sad so many soldiers never go to war and yet have ptsd.
Of the many lost men on that day, and the days following, King Solomon said as a wise old man: “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” There were many stories of miraculous deliverance among them. Only "in the judgment" will "the saints" come to understand the rules of engagement between Christ and Satan that allowed GOD to intervene for some of those men as He did for Desmond Doss on Okinawa.

Imagine being close to or past 100 years of age , and for 80 of those years they’ve lived with the memory of that day and the months that followed for a full 80 of those years !!!!
How were they changed in their families eyes when they returned? There was no recognition of PTSD back then and for their families sake , they resolved to bury their emotions, buckled down and helped rebuild our battered country ……goodness, they were the ULTIMATE generation because how the hell can anybody follow that ?????? 🏴🇬🇧❤
