Thanks for dropping by.
I’m your classic runner turned newbie cyclist.
For years I feared riding a bike – I was afraid of traffic, clipping in, couldn’t get my head around lycra, chamois cream and clambering up hills on a bike.
I didn’t believe that riding a bike would give me the same de-stress, mental download or sense of freedom that life as a long distance runner had given me before my knees ground to dust.
Fast forward to 2021 and picking up a second hand CAAD10 changed my life for the better. Not just physically and mentally. But also providing a sense of community and belonging – which is magic. The cycling community is just magic.
So I’m here. To hopefully inspire others to not fear the bike – the lycra, the clipping in. And come share the passion, freedom and indescribable joy that comes from being on the bike. I truly believe that the bike life is the best life and everyone should be able to enjoy it.

good morning it is day two of our time in bouro and today we are just going on a couple of little climbs so one is called canano and then the second one is a new clim for me which is Boro 2000 uh guys have you done bourm 2000s he’s doing his teeth um so yeah two new kind of localish two bouro climbs obviously aren’t noio uh so yesterday was up lainho um today just keeping it nice and local really beautiful the lake last time we came was completely clear so blue I don’t know if it’s still going to have ice in cuz at the moment there’s obviously still quite a lot of ice at the top of the mountains um and yeah we’re going to roll out with stalia man and anyone else who’s maybe fancy ni he’s put on this nice ride luckily the weather has stayed super nice it is forecast absolute like mad double fat rain tomorrow for um the stelvio stage of the jro so we’ll see how that plays [Applause] out and then later today we have a visit to a spa in the area so bouro I think I mentioned in one of my last videos is known as the wellness Mountain um and that’s obviously because I like the mountains the air and then it’s also home to a lot of kind of thermal Spar which are phenomenal we were able to go to one last year um which just had the most insane infinity pool um amazing treatments sorry I am just putting this footage together and I cannot believe that I missed one vital detail um this sounds incredibly bougie it’s not one of the biggest things that surprised me was seeing how cheap or how cost-efficient should we say rather cuz nothing’s cheaps these days uh a trip to a spa in bouro can be now considering the absolute luxury that they are and I’m talking like thermal Spa like outdoor pool pools heated pools some infinity pools loads of rooms to kind of explore uh loads of kind of like sensory rooms and places to chill with just like incredible Mountain views one of the spars I know was I think about £40 or 440 which that still does sound quite a lot but if you compare the spars to maybe one in London or you know somewhere in the rest of the UK we’re talking hundreds of pounds of them even up north and this is still like around the 40ish Mark and you could stay for the entire day bathing around laying in luxury uh with mountain views which you cannot put a price on I swear to God I’ve been finding like Spar and like little places to rest and recharge or they’re just the one like they’re just the absolute one to be well places to be well places to be well um that they’re a real treat like a real real treat but I think if you’re going to work hard and like slug yourself up mountains then rest hard right we’re going to be late so I’m going to head off take you on a ride so we are just approaching our first climb of the day I think we’re doing canaro we just come straight out of the hotel through the little bouro town center and then we’re straight onto this it’s literally within minutes like kilometers like two or 3 kilometers and we’re straight onto the mountains it’s unbelievable it’s all kind of aliny the tarmac is super smooth look at this we’re gliding we’re gliding GoPro doesn’t even have to work hard at stabilizing this so we’re going up [Music] there right to the top don’t if you can see the castle yeah there it is Castle in view this oh my these all around if you love climbing this is the place for you it’s actually really nice and quiet as well which is even better I’m loving it heaven we reached the top look at that this is the top the princess why is it called the princess oh look at the C she’s sexy and curvy can I say that you can say that she’s sexy and curvy we riding over there yesterday were we up there always worth the climb and there’s the stats Max 11.7 not too bad so just a bit further on from uh the top of canaro is the actual Lake itself and then what look what looks like more cheeky switchbacks up there which you think might be gravel that’s not a road surely Maybe not maybe it’s a ski stuff but it looks amazing and then this absolute beauty that is Lake canano so we’ll whiz past it now it looks unreal when the sun is shining on it it looks like it’s almost like greeny isn’t it it’s insane coffee shops aren’t open today it’s Monday it’s off season so we’re going to have to go for a hunt for a cappuccino somewhere else we’ll find one don’t worry we’ll find one here’s some of the lake look at that oh you big stunner that it’s absolutely Heaven look at the view obsessed that is just magic when they say view is worth it that is double that’s double bubble spoiled look at that climb
