    Danni & Joe

for good afternoon from a slightly windy elbury arm last week if you remember I did about four of the locks on the arm I’ve got about 12 to go until I get to the end where there’s a basin um when I get to the end I’m actually going to go and visit Danny briefly over in Jersey and then soon as I get back we’ve got the dry dock booked ready to do the blackin for the first time which should be um a challenge should be fun though fun to watch anyway don’t have fun about Bloody doing it but going to make a coffee and then get on the move I was hoping to get the Drone up a bit more today actually but we are literally just coming into a restricted Air Zone RAF Horton it’s called I wanted to try out my new um post this on our Instagram I’ve been moving the Drone and steering the boat at the same time recently which has been a little bit challenging a little bit dodgy really so I found this on Amazon which is a water takeoff and Landing kit just as an emergency if the battery runs out or something and I can’t get it back to the boat I can just land it hopefully on the canal don’t come with any instructions just two little mini P floats some elastic bands and some landing gear the one I posted initially on Instagram about 27 quid I managed to get this for about £14 delivered next day if I’m feeling a bit Brave later on I might try to take off and Landing from the water but yeah not feeling that brave yet um right we best get on the [Music] move there some huge clams in here that [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] it’s a [Music] make you guys [Music] [Music] [Music] it’s a [Music] that’s four locks down just stopping made some pancake batter last night stopping for a bit of lunch get hungry now used some up um used up some of my S starter so every time you refresh your salad looks bit liquidy today I had some last night but um every time you refresh you basically feed your sad starter you end up with quite a bit Spar and if you don’t end up baking with it you can add a bit in pancakes really nice little bit running now [Music] [Music] I tried to flip one last night and it didn’t end well so playing it safe today says yes don’t look at this one if anyone wants a recipe for those pancakes literally the one off of BBC good food for easy pancakes I think it’s 200 g flour I’ll just put it up here I can’t remember but copy that recipe and then just add 100 G of s starter right I’ve got another four locks to do I think um and then more up for the night and then we got a few more to do tomorrow [Music] then just started to rain got one lock left and then find some of more up for the evening [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] ah a [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] right be the week been trying to get my hands on this for a little while this is Thon Brewery it’s where ston to up north somewhere masham North Yorkshire so it’s quite North this is the hairy B bikers limited edition one and recently unfortunately Dave Meyers one of the hary bikers passed away but they continue to um Brew this beer this a triple hop best bitter in more Harry bike Harry bikers Harry bikers in collaboration with Thon a perfect combination of Challenger Admiral and Pilgrim hops complement a mash of pale and Crystal malt 100% British cheers Dave I’m not going to act surprised that I’d like it cuz I’ve already had like two or three of these over the past couple of days when I was seeing it on weight TR I had to buy a few and I couldn’t wait but that is a lovely bear it’s in weight R um I don’t know if anyone else has got it apart from the brewery but I believe you can order it online some pubs had it in in on Cask I’m guessing in the north um which I would like to try to be honest but yeah it’s nice for anyone who hasn’t heard of Harry bikers I’m guessing pretty much everyone in England has already heard of Harry bikers but basically Two Chefs two Cooks chefs they used to have like TV programs gone road trips on their bikes and cook loads of local ingredients and stuff um they did a cool route 6 6 trip the same as like we did we watched them before we went for a bit of inspiration and stuff but yeah just really wholesome couple of BLS that love great food and beer those um Bridges started getting really quite narrow and you almost um need to choose what side of the boat you’re going to look at just get that as tight as you can and then check the other side and there’s honestly like feels like a couple of inches if that play before you actually hit it we’re now only three locks away from the Basin I just needed a day out in the quiet here so I can shoot a separate video um yeah I think there’s only three locks and there’s actually secure um moins down like if you remember when we went to Bristol Harbor which I had to pay a lot of money for um there’s actually gated pontoons whether there’s space there or not um but that would be quite handy whilst I go away so fingers crossed might actually cycle down first just to see but yeah go down there tomorrow I think as long as the weather is all right right I’ll see you in the morning I’m going to enjoy my beer another windy day here on HB AR only got three locks left to do I circled down to the Basin last night cuz there’s a wait Ros there just wanted to make sure before I head all the way down there that there’s actually room and there’s only one other boat down there on these pontoon so yeah going to tackle three lock this morning um and get the boat ready cuz I got an early flight tomorrow morning wind’s pretty bad this morning it’s blowing me all over the place yet hopefully as we come through these locks we drop down a little bit and should become a bit more showered and the Basin was pretty open to be fair [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] that’s elsbury Canal Society that’s where we’re going for blacking in a few days time so I’ll go down the Bas and turn around come back up here then we’ll be in there I’m a bit nervous I can see the doct in there [Music] right had a very warm welcome in elbury literally pulled up and lady that watches the channel Sor I didn’t get your name just told me where the bins and stuff are which really uh handy and then a lady called Liz um used to run a day trip boat here said welcome to Ellsbury really sweet and I need to go and pick up the car and do some chores now and then I’ll catch back at of you later on sun past 10 and as you probably seen I’ve got a weight TR there look how close that is hang on look at that [Music]

    1. I'm sooooo tempted to get a drone , as a solo boater I think it would be a good idea so I can see what's ahead of me but the child in me also really wants to get an oversized airwolf helicopter with a camera

    2. I do hope your not leaving your boat unattended in Aylesbury basin when the canal society allow 2 weeks free mooring in their basin and it's safe in there

    3. Thank you sharing such amazing shots of the countryside and canal, so beautiful.
Keep up the vlogs and enjoy your time with Dani Joe ❤

    4. Wow, I thought that sourdough starter in pancakes was my secret lifehack, but oh well. Very recommendable. Oh and b.t.w., it's "Mazzam" (Theakston Brewery).

    5. Boating and beer – a good combination, as long as you are moored up first. I would make very slow progress on a canal voyage – too many canalside pubs to visit with all their history and tales to listen to.

    6. Lovely video
Could you think of occasionally uploading a longer form video with less fast forwarding of canal travel. Your journey on this video looks magnificent. A long form video would be well worth watching on the 80 inch screen with an ad say every 10-15 minutes .
      Thanks again

    7. I miss the Hairy Bikers. They were very popular here in Australia, and even did a series travelling around Australia. I was sorry to hear of Dave's passing, and I recall a few years ago Si wasn't well. At least they live on together in their many series.
The canals you're travelling through look absolutely stunning.

    8. Hello Danni and Joe…. When is Danni back in the UK again for good??? Its seemed so odd not having you both on the Danni N joe utube. Also have you done any filming together in Jersey.
