This is my bike Set up for the cycling Race around the Netherlands 2019! Super Light weight and super fast!
hey guys so we are a week away from the race round holiday in 1900 k 1200 mile bike race around the border of holland so once it’s due a bit about my bike or what says i could be using on the actual trip and when i do my best to finish within about a week so this is it this is my lynskey sporty it’s a great bike it’s titanium so for me this bike if the geometry and the the actual feel the metal of it there’s been the best compromise between speed and comfort that I’ve ever really found so this model is a couple years old it’s a 2016 model but I’ve used it so many years I just absolutely love it and I really wanted to bring it out for this race around tolerance I think it’s just perfect perfectly made for it really so let’s start with the nice simple wheels dura-ace disc nine one seven zero I love them they’ve got a great profile they’re really strong 24 spoke count I’ve matched them up with some nice WT exposure 13 C tires the nine one seven zero is a tubeless so obviously I’ve gone tubers wife they’re CC because I wanted something a little bit more comfortable and a little bit more robust for the Psychopaths of Holland this race is going to be very different because it’s gonna be very different terrain they’re very different styles of riding than just sitting on a road like you would normally expect in a normal race gearing so I’m Shimano Integra actually loved it company go wrong with it and what I’ve done is I’ve got a 50 34 on the front and 1134 on back do I need that kind of gearing for Holland no not really but I’ve been using it for my training it’s what I have a lot of spares of and there are some really hilly bits at the end the race that I know I’m going to be absolutely super fatigued for so I went with a big set on the rear and I went with small chairman’s on the front I know I’m going to be tired I know I’m gonna hammer it so let’s make this as easy as possible attached to that Shimano I’ll take her panels as well the light I’ve got SPD SL I prefer the bigger cleats the road cleats they just work better for me yet again that’s what I’ve been using in all my training as well Kinney systrace of 1.5 Fork that’s something I’ve just had around for years I really like I’ve actually gone with disks so I always do on ultra-endurance disks they’re very good they’re very strong the only thing I’ve done different this time is I’ve actually gone mechanical disks instead of hydraulic disk reason being they were in my shed and I thought I Chuck won’t give them ago and I really like this simplicity over running the chemical disks they work from really well is Holland it’s flat you you just can’t go without them they’re gonna be absolutely fantastic on this kind of ride so you can see I’ve kept them really low I’ve been trading very aggressively got lovely curvature my back at the minute so I’m hoping to stay as air as possible wait isn’t the big issue on this ride is gonna be getting aerodynamic I think that’s gonna be the key to doing really well in this so anyway guys enjoy and I’ll make another video about all the kit and everything that’s been taken in these lovely thrown discover bags which are just absolutely awesome I’ll talk a little bit more about them in the kit list video and obviously Felix is on there as well we never go on races without him really enjoy
