This year’s 3rd Ring was organized in the Zselic, a very chill and nice part of Hungary with very bad road surfaces, which we knew from last year, but this year’s new route surprised us too.

As last year’s event took place on the hottest day of the summer with sections lacking any shading, this year’s event beat the heat, but the organization had some major flaws.

Right after the first descent, there was an unmarked storm drain, where people were falling off their bikes and running off the corner. Máté didn’t have luck either, he had a pinchflat from hitting the drain pretty hard, and later we had 2 more on various shitty surfaces.

After using up all our spares, we tried to buy some tubes at the refreshment points, but they only had 2″ wide mountain bike tubes… We ended up cutting the route in half and finishing the event early, thus disqualifying ourselves.

See you on Mecsek Ring, hopefully with more luck!

    1. A tó melletti betontáblás úton jobbra-balra defektjavítás folyt amikor mentünk, szerencsére a 28mm-es 5,5 bar-on probléma nélkül elviselte. 11:10-től elég bátor voltál a lejtőn, nálunk simán jöttek 40-50-el szembe a kanyarokba is az autók és véletlenül se húzódtak volna le…
