Why is Girona the perfect destination for cyclists? Why do you need to ride your bike in Girona?
My friend and cycling vlogger colleague Lawrence Carpenter and I head out on a road cycling loop around Girona. We discuss why Girona is such a cycling mecca and why the cycling lifestyle and life around bikes are so perfect here. Whatever the playground, this small Spanish city is perfect for all kinds of bikes, gravel, mtb, and road. Furthermore, I am testing a cycling kit on a budget. Bike riding doesn’t need to be expensive so find your cycling clothing and glasses on a budget.

    1. I really liked Girona for a week but honestly the road choices are not that abundant, even on gravel compared to other places in Spain or France, where I lived. I felt limited after our 3 stays. The scenery is nice but there are way more beautiful areas in Spain with the same spirit. Overall the respect for cyclists is perfect in Spain, everywhere you go and you can meet cyclists easily. I wish we had that in France.

    2. It's good for winter months, but its also overrated. There are influencers everywhere like literally. I was there for 2 days and almost bumped into clippedinandfree. Also the roads in Spain are quite shitty if you cycle in NL like me. Honestly I like the Limburg region in NL much more. Cycling in NL is much more inclusive than in Girona.

    3. "No point on spending a tonne of money on kit if you can get it for a good deal" Arnav casually kitted out in PNS in the background 😂 Lovely vid, Girona looks beautiful.

    4. Really like your Vlogs. I watch a lot of biking vlogs (etc.) on youtube, and your editing and production are exceptional. Keep it up.
PS Your english accent is sooooo much different than my wife’s. Funny.

    5. The South and the areas around Granada and Sevilla are way better. Also much less rain and warmer in winter. Big caveat is that you have to be ok with high temperatures in summer.

    6. Alina, my soul!❤, as I promised, I watched your remarkable video, I really liked your video! When you told about Spain, Girona, about how awesome it is, what a climate there, that it is almost always warm, I immediately had a desire to live there, as you know, I am from Russia, we have almost constant cold here, uncomfortable for me climate, this often makes me sick, sometimes I think about another place to live…

    7. I can compare only Italy and Spain , where i rode before. Italy are good scenery and food either , but the quality of local roads where to ride are very poor. Must be prepared to get puncture or damage the wheel. 3 years in a row got punctures and damaged wheels riding in Italy (Tuscany), better to take with spare wheel into travel bag. In Spain around Girona local roads are in excellent quality you can be more relaxed by enjoying scenery, not all the time trying to avoid road holes. This year spring gonna go to Girona to ride again. And of course the feeling in Girona that so much has been done for cyclists is amazing, starting from coffee shops and services around and attitude.
