[Music] hey there everyone welcome back to utility Sports really excited for a very special video today that video is the utility Sports Discord 2024 NBA Mock Draft so you guys have been watching my mock drafts all draft cycle long this one is not my own individual mock draft but it is the mock draft from my community on my Discord server I’m extremely excited to share what my community mocked there’s trades in this video there’s a lot of craziness so I’m going to be reacting to it and sharing my thoughts and really breaking down a lot of different possible scenarios that maybe we would see on draft night this video is meant to be a lot of fun I hope you guys do enjoy it shout out to everyone from the Discord as well really appreciate each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart you guys are such a great awesome community so if you’re not a part of that Community make sure you go join that Discord right now link is in the description I’m going to say it again link is in the description go join the Discord I would love to have you in there I’m going to be watching for new joines so I’m really excited uh for each of you who are new to either the channel or the Discord Community itself to have you in that Discord Community to talk some hoops with fellow people who love basketball just as much as you do also don’t forget to smash that like button subscribe for more NBA content here at utility Sports and let’s get into that mock draft now now with the first overall pick and as you can see sad Clippers fan is operating as the GM here for the Atlanta Hawks so I’m extremely excited to see which direction sad Clippers fan goes here first overall so with the first overall pick in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft sad Clippers fan selects Alex SAR center from the Perth Wildcats and there’s been a lot of rumors and a lot of noise lately about Atlanta maybe looking at Donovan kingan could they still settle with Alex is Zachary racee in play for the first overall pick there’s still a lot of questions but from a reactionary standpoint here as I’m going to be reacting to these picks remember I’m not making these selections I still like this pick a lot for Atlanta I’ve talked about this one at length on the channel already alexar is a very promising big man with his overall lateral Mobility on the defensive end of the floor the sheer volume uh of size length defensive Acumen that he possesses makes him project to be a very good defensive big man in the NBA is he a true anchor maybe not but he might become an elite shot blocker and a versatile defensive Swiss army knife who can switch out into space a bit survive out in that type of defensive coverage out on guards at times and especially on wings that’s where I think you’re going to see a lot of his value guarding some of the quicker guards might be a really tough task for him but he has a lot of great recovery tools uh standing about six uh 7′ one excuse me with shoes on he’s got a 7 fo4 wingspan he is a very impressive physical Prospect with really great mobility and then when it comes to the offensive end of the floor he’s got an emerging pull-up jump shot a pretty good deal of touch now I think the big question for him is how does he maneuver or shift his game from solely being a finesse player can he really exert his physical dominance into some power finishing can he be a great long roller instead of just a very solid short roller there’s a lot to really unlock and harness yet in sar’s game but from a jump shooting upside perspective from a overall field perspective and from a defensive upside perspective he could be a tremendous piece for Atlanta and giving Quin Snider a French defensive-minded big man that’s had some pretty good results in the past if you think back to some of those Rudy goar Utah Jazz teams I think sack Clippers fan here did a great job on this selection we’re going to talk about some of my winners and losers at the end of the video as well so stay tuned for that pick number two on the board now is the Washington Wizards they did not trade out of this pick and the Wizards are at a spot where they could look a number of directions and unlimited who is a big-time Washington Wizards fan is in the GM chair here for Washington so with the second overall pick in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft unlimited selects for the Washington Wizards Senor Donovan kingan from Yukon and this is not a huge surprise youle back 6 weeks ago or so I actually mocked Donovan cling in second overall to Washington way back when before it was a mainstream discussion point that he would be a a likely or potential top three or four pick in this year’s draft and in that video I highlighted all of the traits that he possesses that make him a very safe reliable strong pick with some real upside still I know people are going to say well he’s kind of a a low ceiling High floor player I don’t really agree with that sentiment I think the fact that you’re getting a a player who’s going to be elite in drop coverage he’s going to protect the rim standing about 7’3 with shoes on I think that’s one of the biggest story lines that has not been talked about enough he measured in at over 7′ 1 without shoes he is a ginormous human being as well Zack Ed obviously Towers above a ton of people in this draft he’s gotten a lot of recognition for his size Donovan kingan is almost equally gigantic and he has better Mobility skills now I know the combine didn’t show those but film definitely does and he’s got better passing feel now he’s not going to be a live dribble decision maker a ton but what he is is a very good stationary playmaker a hub of the offense type of big man and this isn’t the sexy pick this isn’t the pick that puts Washington on the map and and wins them 40 50 games every year but what this pick does do is give them a real Cornerstone building block at the center position someone who can really hold down the paint for them challenge shots at The Rim deter people from even taking shots at the rim and then on the offensive end of the floor he gives you a very solid playmaker from your Center Spot someone who is very accustomed to working off the top of the key as a delay fivan which is again very valuable for today’s modern NBA Brian Keef is getting a center who’s going to give him some real versatility offensively with where you want to align him you can play him out on the perimeter you can play him in the post of course uh he’s going to be a tremendous screen Setter and he’s got great hands as well he can be a dynamic rle man and then with that I think the hope is that the upside he turns into maybe an all defense caliber player and then you’re also looking at someone who from an upside perspective offensively maybe becomes a tremendous short roll decision maker with his already solid passing skills can he blossom into someone you can feed the ball to around the nail and have him spray out to Shooters around him I think for Washington with the long-term outlook here getting a center it’s not the sexiest pick but it’s a very smart pick as they go into the 2025 draft the 2026 draft maybe they’re able to surround kinging with guys like Cooper fle AJ daans a bunch of other talented prospects Ace Bailey Dylan Harper Nolan trayor who is French and and really making a name for himself right now as well there’s a ton of prospects Washington’s going to be able to surround clinging with and guess what they’re not even done in this first round yet so we’re going to talk about Washington here again very very soon before pick number three we have a trade to announce and this is a crazy one remember I am not mocking these trades this is the Discord Community this one’s a little outlandish I’m not going to lie if this happened on draft night I would probably lose my mind on stream okay this is likely not going to happen but in this trade it’s a big one between the Charlotte Hornets and Houston Rockets the Hornets got Jabari Smith Jr they also get pick number three and a 2027 Lottery protected first round pick from the Houston Rockets so again a ton of stuff going out the door from Houston but the Hornets mortgage a ton of their future to get Jabari Smith to move up in this year’s draft and a lottery protected first in 2027 which is ultimately almost a pick swap if you look at what the Rockets are getting back they’re moving down from number three to six but for Javari Smith they essentially get four first round picks if you want to look at it that way you’re getting the 2026 first you’re getting the Hornets 2027 first unprotected you’re also getting that Dallas 2027 first which was part of the PJ Washington trade at the trade deadline and you’re getting first in 2029 and 2031 as well the Hornets they go all in on this decision but I have to admit after pick number three you’re going to be saying well that roster is pretty darn good actually they kind of all fit together pretty nicely so I understand the Hornets were looking to do here now it is a pretty steep price to pay again I will not expect this trade to happen on draft night that would be absolutely absurd if it did uh but the Rockets really capitalize on the Hornets being aggressive here add a ton of draft picks into their fold uh they already own some of those Nets picks as well going into the future so the Rockets you know the rich get richer here in terms of future outlooks and then for Charlotte they kind of turn their future into ready now players to try and Surround lamelo ball and Brandon Miller so third overall let’s see who the Hornets go with here again very aggressive move from ozra LPC but I kind of like the direction he was looking here in terms of the overall roster construction and the way he’s trying to put this team together here for the Charlotte Hornets third overall in the 2024 utility sports NBA Mock Draft azra LPC of the Charlotte Hornets selects guard Stefon castle of the Yukon huskies and if you think about uh Charlotte now who has really mortgaged their future in this video they walk away going into next year with the starting lineup of lamelo ball Stefan Castle who is instantly their best point of attack perimeter Defender Brandon Miller Javari Smith Jr another versatile Wing Defender with a lot of length and Mark Williams so that starting five extremely young all of them I believe are younger than 24 years old very impressive collection of pieces they all fit together in my opinion Stefan Castle gives you secondary playmaking another ball handler someone who can I think compliment lamelo ball he does a lot of the things really well that lamelo ball does not do in terms of what he does in the defensive end of the floor his screen navigation his ability to uh stay attached to ball handlers on drives his ability to challenge shots around the rim I think the blueprint for Stefon Castle becoming a great NBA player is looking at a mold of Derek white now for me I’m a little skeptical on that because one thing that has separated Derrik white from Stefan Castle is the shooting prowess Dereck white has been a very good shooter in the NBA for quite some time Stefan Castle has a lot of work to get there so this is a big time risk for the Hornets if Stefan Castle doesn’t work out this could go down as one of the worst traits in Charlotte Hornet history but if it does work out and if you get the best version of Jabari Smith you have this really intriguing Wing combination with both Miller and Smith two lengthy Wings both athletic both of them can shoot the ball very well obviously Brandon Miller’s got a little bit more quick Twitch in his game a little bit more downhill juice than Jabari does and then you get Stefan castley who brings again some more downhill juice defensive Acumen if Mark Williams can stay healthy this Hornet team looks loaded for quite some time it’s an interesting Direction it’s a risky gamble here from azre LPC but maybe just maybe it would pay off long term again some of these trades aren’t going to be the most realistic but try to have fun with me during this video as we look at what my Discord Community was trying to get done on draft night here in this mock draft now on to pick number four and this is Nick and Dans and D the great running the team here so we’ got k GMS the team couldn’t settle on just one GM so we’re R we’re co-running it here in San Antonio but I’m excited for this especially nick uh huge shout out to Nick he helped me with a ton of this information um and I have another couple shout outs throughout this video as well so stay tuned for those but huge thank you to Nick really appreciate all the work that you did in making this video possible he’s one of the moderators at the Discord uh and he does a great job helping me out with some of these things as well prepping for this video specifically so shout out to Nick let’s see fourth overall all in the 2024 utility Sports mock draft Discord mock who do Nick and Dans and D the great go with here for San Antonio they select forward Zachary rashay who slides a little bit down in this mock draft all the way down to pick number four but they take advantage here and find another French front Court player to surround Victor wanyama with and I think it is an impressive get for San Antonio especially with this year’s draft staying at pick number four and still getting arguably the best Wing in the class with rashay someone who has a very good collection of skill set uh and skills that are going to be able to hopefully make him a very good off the catch player in the NBA now I know people are going to point to the flaws in his shot creation I think if you’re San Antonio you’re not going to rely on raset to be a primary shot Creator especially with the way that you’re hoping Victor wanyama blossoms and grows I think the real aspiration here is that re saay could be someone who takes advantage of some of those opportunities where wanyama has already created advantage or the Spurs backcourt with Devon vasel and whoever else maybe they would add in this draft or via trade who they could go out and get how do those players set the table for someone like reash and how does he pay those opportunities off I think he could be tremendous in that area he’s got a very good right to left rip through his left to right rip through is not bad either now his first step it’s not great but it’s not bad he’s been playing against professional players who are older than him so you have to take that into account as well from a film perspective he’s playing against better athletes than some of these other college kids are so you have to factor that in here as well I think that re is someone who’s going to be very well poised to step into the NBA he’s going to shoot the ball relatively well early in his career now I’m not expecting year one of his career to be a 40% shooter typically there’s a little bit of an adjustment period new basketballs new system new everything once you step into the NBA so reash is not a drop in and average 15 points a game on great shooting splits but what I do think he will be over the course of the first three years of his career is a foundational building block for San Antonio I think this is a strong pick here from Nick and D the great as well uh with this selection fourth overall now moving on to pick number five Jaylen hives was running the Detroit Pistons in the GM chair here for Detroit and I don’t think he recreated the wheel I think he went very safe steady and he looked at the uh likelihood that the agent owner relationship is going to come into play here fifth overall Jaylen hives the GM of the Detroit Pistons selects in the 2024 utility Sports mock draft Discord selects Matas buellis forward from g-league ignite the program that is now dying and has been shut down while they get their first draft pick here in the 2024 draft with mates buella someone who has a lot of tweener isms in his game he’s probably not quick enough to be a three but he’s not strong enough maybe to be a four yet at this point in time I think there’s a lot to build on though from his overall frame standing about 6′ at 10 he’s got I think pretty good speed to him long speed specifically in transition for a power forward now the jump shot is a big question mark too this is a a player here where if everything goes right for mates buellis there’s a real argument he could turn out to be one of the best players in this year’s draft because he has the length the size he has the overall skill set with real foundational building block pieces to it when it comes to handling the basketball some real evidence of him being able to make plays off of a live Dr and it’s not very consistent yet at this point he’s a player who when it’s all said and done might be one of the more well-rounded players in this draft but that means that there’s a lot of work to go into all of those categories his shooting needs to improve his decision-making downhill needs to get better uh his overall strength and and body profile he needs to put muscle on he was a swimmer throughout his youth days so he’s definitely someone who’s very slim and and just probably not framewise completely ready for professional basketball even though he’s been playing professional basketball now for some time I think buellis has a lot of work to really ramp up who he is when it comes to his NBA body his NBA frame and his NBA skill set but Jaylen hives here looking at the reality of what Detroit probably will look to do on draft night select mates buellis here this is a pick listen I don’t love it to be completely honest from a Detroit perspective but I think Jaylen did knock it out of the park with the likelihood that Detroit does ultimately call mattis’s name fifth overall I think balis is a good player and I think if everything goes right he could be a tremendous get for Detroit but that’s a big if at this point in time for me now on to pick number six and we have Julian and sports junkie Co gming the Houston Rockets Now Sports junkie also one of my moderators on the Discord huge shout out to him for all of the work he does over there he’s a huge Houston Rockets fan he’s also a Florida State seminal fan I’m never going to forget that again I promise SJ my bad on that so shout out to Julian and sports junkie for their work over in the Discord and for participating in the mock draft of course now six overall the Houston Rockets after trading down with Charlotte still in a prime position to add some Talent Reed Shepard’s on the board Rob Dillingham is on the board and either of those two smaller Kentucky guards from a skill set standpoint I think do make a ton of sense here for Houston who does Julian and sports junkie go with with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the Houston Rocket select guard Rob Dillingham from Kentucky and again he’s a smaller guard and I can see some people already saying well how would he work with em oka’s defense first of all e udoka is one of the more creative defensive minds and he has always been a part of building good defenses so I think even with drafting a smaller guard he would be able to find a way to make it work looking at Houston this past year they had a very good team defense they didn’t have an elite rim protector alpren shingun a very good player not an elite rim protector they also had smaller guards Fred Van vet Jaylen green Jaylen Green’s not small from a height standpoint he’s he not huge either but he also has a very skinny frame and yet udoka was able to overcome a lot of those defensive deficiencies and build a very good team defense for the regular season so if there’s anyone to figure out a way to build a good defense with Rob Dillingham at the point of attack I think it’s going to be em Oka someone who just is a mastermind on that end of the floor and I think one thing that stands out to me watching Houston a ton last year the need for more spacing the need for more perimeter shot making and the need for who can toggle between on Ball and off ball responsibilities I think when we go through drafts and we talk about oh well this team already has their point guard or they already have their primary initiator we’re selling short the value of having players who can do a little bit of everything and I think when we’re watching these NBA Finals the Boston Celtics don’t have a true number one point guard what they have is a whole bunch of players who are capable of making plays off of a live dribble and as a result has really opened up their offense the drive and kick game is really really dangerous and I think someone like Rob Dillingham who has real scoring gravity to him when he has the ball can also really function as a spot-up shooter he shot a ton of deep spot up opportunity shots this past year for Kentucky and he drilled a very good amount of them as well I think playing off of Jaylen green playing off of alpr shenon Rob Dillingham could have some real success in that type of role but if there’s any type of upside here if there’s any player who could blossom into an offensive star in this game yes I know he’s very small I know there’s going to be some skepticism there and some of that skepticism is very fair it’s not a Surefire no-brainer thing that Rob Dillingham turns into an offensive star but if someone does if someone blossoms into a 20po per game eight assist type of guy I think Rob Dillingham has one of the best chances in this draft because of his skill set as a dribble pass shoot type of player someone who is very very very good when it comes to the fundamental skills of NBA basketball and offensive creation there’s a lot of offensive generation capability here I think he could flow very very well with amen Thompson the backourt Off the Bench of those two guys they kind of coexist for each other they kind of hide each other’s weaknesses am in Thompson’s huge super athletic and Above the Rim finisher funny enough they were competitors against each other for overtime Elite a year ago so maybe Dillingham and alen Thompson reuniting in a way for the Houston Rockets would be such a good thing off the bench giving the Rockets some real dynamism uh and bench scoring uh the Rockets are loaded I’ve been saying this for a long time that they were trending in that direction I think theyed it last offseason spending money on Veterans who could help them win games it’s kind of completely changed the Outlook of the team nationally for me I’ve always been high on Houston I think if you’re a Rockets fan going Rob Dillingham or Reed Shepard here either way would have been a no-brainer decision I think Julian and sports junkie did a very good job sixth overall now with the seventh overall pick we have Brady and Supa Koopa here making the draft pick for the Portland Trailblazers so seventh overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the Portland Trailblazers select forward SLG guard Ron Holland and this is a big time upside swing now there is some speculation there are some outside noise that maybe just maybe Ron Holland would fall outside of the lottery and people are vaguely suggesting that it might have to do with off thec court stuff how he’s interviewing some situations like that first of all I want to point out back to last year cam Whitmore someone I had pre-draft compared to Jaylen Brown I think that rookie year played out very very similar to Jaylen Brown’s rookie season I had said that it would be ludicrous for him to fall out of the lottery I thought that was ridiculous and then he ended up falling all the way to pick number 20 so maybe Ron Holland does fall that doesn’t mean it’s actually warranted or Justified if Ron Holland Falls outside of the lottery on draft night is a huge mistake and teams that are passing him up especially in the late Lottery are going to regret that decision for a long time I think Ron Holland there’s a lot of work to be done on his game he is not anywhere near a polished product but he has a lot of the tools and traits that suggest blossoming into a very Dynamic two-way Wing player in the league he’s extremely athletic he leverages that athleticism into downhill creation as a finisher at and above the ram he draws and initiates contact he is not afraid of playing through physicality those are all things that would make Portland a lot better I think right now their team very very much based on finesse play you look at their Center room you look at their front Court just in general Jeremy Grant’s a finesse player doesn’t really get on the glass too much uh DeAndre aton’s a finesse player despite having a lot of great physical tools even their backup big men are mostly finessed besides Robert Williams uh scoot Henderson I think has a little bit of that physicality to his game but wins a lot with his speed quickness and change of Direction Anthony Simons is a finesse player getting someone like Ron Holland who can draw initiate contact get himself to the free throw line and make plays on the defensive end of the floor not only with his defensive anticipation and physical tra but his recoverability and his overall want to those are things I don’t typically talk about too much want to and and attitude and focus those are things that you’re just going to get night toight from Ron Holland he wants to win he’s someone with a high motor high energy guy as well and a lot of great traits to win basketball games I think this is a really strong pick by Brady and supera Koopa here to grab Ron Holland seventh overall now we have another trade here before pick number eight so the San Antonio Spurs are moving out of pick number eight sorry Spurs fans you already got Zachary race let’s see what your GMS were cooking up here oh my goodness we have a five team trade holy cow remember I said maybe these trades aren’t going to be the most realistic thing but it is a dynamic Market a lot of moves a lot of teams looking to make stuff happen this draft let’s see how it all played out the Spurs get Josh giddy usan Jen and a 2025 first round pick via the Philadelphia 7 Sixers that comes with the lottery protection the Oklahoma City Thunder snag a couple of big man Charles Bassie but most specifically Nick K claxon a very big deal here Nick claxon listen to me I don’t think Oklahoma City is going to Value an inside Center like Nick claxon that’s just my honest opinion but the Discord Community disagrees with me here they’re going with Nick claxon they also get pck number 51 the Sacramento Kings send out pck number 133 they in return get Kyle k the Washington Wizards who are moving uh a couple of different things in this p uh in this especially Kyle kozma they end up taking Lindy Waters the third back in they get Aaron Wiggins which is a very underrated asset uh in this deal in my opinion a very good Wing uh bench player in this uh trade I think very good get for Washington they also get pick number eight so talk about maximizing value they walk away extremely happy here getting pick number eight and a couple of quality pieces Aaron Wiggins most specifically Lindy Waters the third can shoot the ball a bit and pick number eight this is a home run for the Washington Wizards and the Brooklyn Nets uh they get Chris dwarte who is now essentially a salary dump from Sacramento they also get Harrison Barnes who is part of the salary here to acquire Kyle kusma and pick number 13 so the Nets making some big time moves here as well moving off of Nick Clon and what is ultimately a sign and trade if you want to look at it that that way to get pick number 13 the Nets came into this year’s draft with no first round picks they walk out of it with multiple we’re not done hearing from the Brooklyn Nets quite yet and with the Washington Wizards here now on the clock unlimited who already has made a couple of big moves drafted Donovan kingan second overall coming in here now for the Wizards eighth overall Unlimited in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft selects guard nicoa topic from Red Star and listen injuries Galore he has missed some real time this year for both Mega basket and in the Euro league there’s a a lot of concern right now partial ACL tear how much of his first rookie season will he miss will he miss all of it will he miss most of it I think Washington here this is genius to me if you overlook nicoa toic purely from his injuries I think that is a mistake you need to be Forward Thinking when it comes to who you draft on draft night someone missing the first season of their career is not a big deal remember Blake Griffin missed the entire first season became an all-nba player after that now I’m not saying topic is going to follow that same that same you know trajectory here he’s not even close to the same player but I do think Washington a team that is focused on losing right now this is a genius move for them they even if topic does miss the whole first year which they might even let him do on purpose this allows Washington to really stay at the bottom of the NBA they’re going to lose a ton of games again next year but Donovan kingan’s going to get a year better Nia topic is going to learn a lot from the sideline the Wizards are going to aim angle for another top three pick in the 2025 draft and by the way they maybe have their franchise point guard now in Nia topic someone who has really great passing Vision a ton of feel for the position a great collection of physicals when it comes to his quickness in tight areas also his overall size for the position now his wingspan very disappointing I was surprised people even believed he had a 7 foot wingspan I suppose that information came from a website I don’t understand how anyone thought that watching him on film I didn’t even know that was speculation out there because his wingspan was clearly not 7 ft long uh just watching him play he’s got very narrow shoulders and his arms are not very long but he measured him with a 6’5 A2 wingspan so significantly less than 7 feet again unsurprising to me but overall when you look at him as a player I like a lot of the tools I like a lot of the skill set Washington badly needs a true point guard moving forward tyus Jones is a free agent the Jordan fool experiment’s been so so so far the end of the year he kind of really caught fire moving back into that point guard role but the reality here is I don’t really care about Jordan P’s individual numbers what I do care about is long-term winning for Washington and I think walking out of this draft with both nicoa topic and Donovan kingan is a really great start for a team looking to really build an identity over the next couple of years and defensively they’re going to have the pieces around topic to become a great defensive team with kabali and kinging I really like the direction of the Washington Wizards unlimited I think you’re doing a great job so far in this mock draft another trade at pick number nine so the Memphis Grizzlies a team that I have talked about at length on the channel saying that they could very likely be aggressive on draft KN moving out of pick nine whether that be up or down and The Grizzlies do ultimately move out let’s get a look at that deal now trade number three here in this video male Bridges is out of Brooklyn and he finds his way to Memphis at a very Hefty price point the Nets who are in total tear down total re they’ve already moved Nick Claxton for pick number 13 here they are now moving for pick number nine male Bridges they get Marcus Smart who I think’s already a very good starting point in this deal they get GG Jackson who is just an all rookie member now for me I’m a little bit lower on GG Jackson’s future than most I know some Memphis Grizzlies fans are going to be very upset about this here’s the thing male Bridges is way way way better than GG Jackson it’s not even close to be completely honest with you it isn’t the Grizzlies are getting a lot better here in this trait but the Nets I think for a team that has really no true Direction long term this type of trade does make a ton of sense for them they get pick number nine they get a 2026 first round pick they get a 2028 first rounder which is top five protected so again a protection there that does help protect Memphis in case something bad happens to them again injury-wise but the Nets walk out with a bunch of different pieces uh a couple of picks in this year’s draft now they’ve made a lot of moves already and they have a great opportunity here GG Jackson I think was was a really good addition into this trade here for them and I want to see who the Brooklyn Nets go with here ninth overall and a special shout out to Texas Sports he is the moderator on the channel who has run this entire Mock Draft so when the mock draft Community is working and when my Discord Community is going to work on these mocks Texas Sports is the one really administering these mocks he puts in a ton of work a ton of time on the Discord so Texas Sports I really really want to share how much I appreciate your work and what I want everyone to do right now is comment down below W Texas Sports he’s a BigTime Rockets fan he’s done a lot of great work for me I really do appreciate him he’s been a longtime viewer on the channel really really really do appreciate Texas Sports so very much so ninth overall in the 20124 utility Sports Discord mock draft Texas Sports of the Brooklyn Nets goes with Reed Shepard who has fallen all the way down to pick number nine something I cannot believe happened but here he is a player who I think will very likely go top three on draft night falls all the way down to pick number nine and this is a heck of a get for Texas Sports yes he mortgaged out uh male Bridges to get this done but he brought in Marcus Smart who by the way will be on the Move later in this video but he also got gigg Jackson he got two extra first round picks in this deal as well and he walks out with one of my favorite players in this year’s class in Reed Shepard someone who is a laser from behind the three-point line shot over 52% from three uh and a lot of those reps came both on and off off the basketball so he’s a versatile shooter who can shoot off the dribble very comfortable in that type of role but also really really excels as a spot up shooter ranked in the 100th percentile as a spot up threat not only just catching and shooting but catching and attacking close outs as well he’s a dynamic player average over four assists per game in just 28 minutes for the Kentucky Wildcats this past year he is somebody who Off the Bench was arguably ky’s best player and I think with the reality of his situation people are going to look at of the flaws they’re going to point to the fact that he’s a small white guy who doesn’t have the longest wingspan and yes I know he jumped well at the combine but he’s not the most athletic player people are going to point to all the flaws all the deficiencies what I see when I watch Reed Shepard is a really darn good basketball player someone who can dribble pass and shoot he is a very reliable player for me my comps have been Mike Conley Austin Reeves I think he’s going to be a healthy medium of those two players maybe a little bit better than both of them now I know people are going to say well that’s not warranting a top two three pick well if you went back to Mike Conley’s draft class and looked at the quality of that class which pretty strong class in my opinion Mike connley is right at the top right next to you know he’s not Kevin Durant but he’s had a 16-year career and it’s going to be 17 18 years by the time he’s done so Mike Conley’s been a tremendous player in the NBA for a long time I think Reed Shepard is going to be a tremendous player especially with the importance of three-point shooting in today’s game Reed Shepard is a seamless fit onto any roster because of his ability to handle the basketball make plays without the basketball I think he is a really good guard get next to cam Thomas the Nets are going through a complete facelift in this video but I think they do a very great job here getting Reed Shepard ninth overall now at pick number 10 the Utah Jazz State here and nape is in Danny Ang’s chair he’s the one making the decisions here for the Utah Jazz so nape let’s see what you got in mind 10th overall in the utility Sports 2024 Discord NBA Mock Draft nape of the Utah Jazz selects guard/forward Dalton connect a little bit of a safer pick but one that I think does make a good deal of sense here for Utah a team that is really lacking Wings they had one real wing on their roster last year and they traded him that was Simone fonio they’ve got a lot of front Court players they’ve got a pretty loaded backourt in terms of overall Personnel how many players they have in those positions what they’re lacking is a bunch of guys who are about 6’5 to 6′ 7 who can shoot play off the catch on the perimeter I think Dalton connect is one of the higher pedigree players in this year’s draft when it comes to those types of skills he shoots very well off of movement he is somebody who can be a tremendous get for the Utah Jazz they already have a ton of play finishers again this is a very safe pick in my opinion for Utah this doesn’t solve a lot of their problems this doesn’t really Advance their rebuild super far but what it does do is it gives them a really great player that will fit around any other high-end talent that they find a way to acquire they have a ton of draft picks maybe they never bottom out enough to get a number one number two pick but what they maybe will do in the upcoming future is Trade four or five first round picks to get a true franchise point guard back in the building and if they do that with Lowry marinin in weight with dton connect with uh Taylor Hendricks with keante George with John Collins maybe we’ll see what happens with his future they are sitting at a spot where they have all of the right role players they just need that top guy to really compliment the Team Lowry marinan is a great offb player over 80% of his baskets past year were unassisted the Jazz just need one topend Talent maybe that comes through trade maybe that comes through a future draft but dton connect is someone who can really mesh out this roster flush out some of their needs which is off ball shooting especially Wing play someone who is Wing sized Dalton connect checks a lot of those boxes a very good off ball player a very good movement shooter and at Tennessee did a lot of stuff with the ball as well so I think adjusting to the NBA scaling his roll down his efficiency might even go up his defensive prow might even improve a little bit being less tasked offensively like he was at the college game I think dton connect very safe but a very steady pick here for the Utah Jazz pick number 11 b ball Bry here in the GM chair for the Chicago Bulls Brian is a big- Time Bulls fan and Oklahoma City Thunder fan I think he likes both of those two teams one in the East one in the west uh and he knows his stuff so I’m excited to see who he goes with here for Chicago 11th overall a team that that needs I think some real upside especially Wing Talent someone who has really good positional size a lot of length to him and I think that’s exactly what he’s going to address here 11th overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft bball brive the Chicago Bull selects forward Cody Williams from Colorado a player with a 7′ one wingspan will stand at about 6’8 with shoes on on the NBA court he is going to be a tremendous pickup here for the Bulls a team that right now I think one of their biggest brightest positives going forward is Kobe white someone who really blossomed and grew into a tremendous player this year should have been the most improved player in my opinion based on how his season went I think Chicago though around him the roster kind of in flux right we don’t know what’s going to happen with Zack LaVine Demar D rozan is an unrestricted free agent very likely he comes back to Chicago Nica vuvi is on the downturn of his career taking someone with real serviceable traits and skills and then seeing that player have really potential like really huge potential upside you’re basically describing Cody Williams because he’s got all of the physical tools I like his downhill creation ability people don’t look enough at his Rim rate from college he got to the rim a ton and someone who is a 6’8 Wing finding his way to the rim that screams star upside now that’s not a safe bet the shot profile doesn’t necessarily suggest that from a mid-range creation or a three-point creation standpoint but when he did shoot the ball he shot it very well so the hope is here with more reps and with more growing confidence he turns into a tremendous get outside of the top 10 in this year’s draft I think Cody Williams would be a slam dunk pick for the Chicago Bulls I really like this selection I think the Bulls a team that really is lacking a long-term identity and lacking long-term foundational Cornerstone pieces they find that here with Cody Williams a guy who can create for himself can create for others a bit I think there’s a lot to love about Cody Williams game it’s about kind of cementing those pieces together and really meshing out a quality a high quality NBA player I think he’s got all of the tools to get there though and I’m I’m ecstatic for the Bulls future after this selection another trade here before pick number 12 a lot of trades in this mock draft I hope you guys are enjoying them and it’s a big one three- team trade here the Thunder received Bruce Brown they also get pick number 19 so they move completely out of pick number 12 Orlando jumps all the way up to pick number 12 we’ll have to see who they’re going to Target with this next selection and the Raptors get four different things in this deal they get pick number 18 so they move up one spot from 19 to 18 they get a 2025 first round pick that comes via the Orlando Magic through the Denver Nuggets or through the Orlando Magic excuse me via the Denver Nuggets so it’s probably a pck in the 20s next year you also get two second round picks and you get forward kenrich Williams another quality role player now the Thunder have been very very aggressive in this video so far they’ve been able to find players who are going to complement their current existing core without sacrificing their long-term future too much it’s been a great move for the OKC Thunder I think Bruce Brown would really fit OKC very well especially now that they’ve traded Josh giddy away they need another backourt player I think Bruce Brown could be a really good Band-Aid piece for them for a year the Raptors getting kenrich Williams I think is a good piece he’s going to be traded later in this video actually uh but they also move up one spot in this draft they pick up an extra first round pick for Bruce Brown Services I think that’s really really good and the magic jump all the way up from number 18 to number 12 so with that in mind I think that it’s a really calculated move yes it does cost them an extra first round pick and it cost them two second rounders but to Target a specific player that can help them it makes a ton of sense so who did the Orlando Magic go with funny enough the Discord user name is Magic because he’s a big time Orlando Magic fan so let’s see who the magic are going with here in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the Orlando Magic select Center kle we from Indiana and this is a very surprising pick to me but one that I think does make sense in a vacuum Orlando has really struggled at the center spot with health especially with Wendell Carter Jr being able to stay on the floor now they got really good minutes last year from goou bad in stretches I think the magic though are looking for a real set piece someone that they can rely on night in night out and that’s why khw does make some sense here he shot 37 and A2 % from three this past year for Indiana he’s got an emerging touch he shot over 50% on floaters and hooks this past year as well for the hoers pretty decent volume uh for both of those as well I think with him perhaps growing into a short role player uh and and a a finisher Above the Rim with his overall athletic traits and his physical dominance as well as his touch around the rim as a below the rim finisher and uh a finisher above traffic that’s where you’re going to see the D dynamism of K wear I think he could have a similar rookie impact to what we’ve seen Derrik Lively do for the Dallas Mavericks now in the finals Lively has looked a little bit out matched which can be expected he’s a 19-year-old rookie and KW is someone I’m not saying that the magic are going to make the finals uh they don’t have lcad donic but what I do think is kware could be a really high positive impact player centers especially ones with really great athletic traits typically adjust a little bit quicker to the NBA uh just because they have a lot of size and their their value is most typically added through play finishing and rim protection I think those are things that kware is going to bring instantly to Orlando the upside is really reliant on his shot and how much can he improve as a playmaker on the short role those are big questions yet but Orlando who already has jet Howard in weight they have Anthony black and weight they’re aggressive one more time here to get another lottery selection they get kware here and I think he could be a tremendous get for that franchise who’s really searching for some Center stability at that position now now moving on to pick 13 remember Texas Sports moov back up here with that Nick claxon trade to get the Brooklyn Nets to lottery picks he has pick nine which was Reed Shepard and pick number 13 now so the Nets are in a great spot they’ve been able to add some real talent in this draft 13th overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft Texas Sports of the Brooklyn Net selects guard Jared McCain so he’s doubling down on shooting and if there’s a poor man’s version of Reed Shepard in this year’s draft it is Jared McCain who is a very similar Prospect has very similar measurables and has a very similar skill set now he’s not quite as good as a shooter and I think the playmaking is a slight tad bit less reliable but for Brooklyn here it’s hey we already drafted one good player why don’t we draft the second one because if there’s two players in this Lottery that I feel are are very very safe selections guys that I think like worst case scenario they just function as really great offall Shooters it’s Reed Shepard and it’s Jared McCain so the Nets who are really lacking long-term Direction they not only walk out with GG Jackson via trade in a couple extra SEC uh first round picks for the future they also walk out with two very high floor players and maybe even false ceiling players I think Reed Shepard Jared McCain could really surprise some people with how impactful they are to winning at the NBA level yeah maybe they’re not 25 Point per game guys but having reliable 13 to 16 point per game players really adds up in it and it gives a lot of life to a team that when you have depth 1 through 8 1 through n you’re able to outlast out survive teams throughout the course of an 82 game regular season because injuries happen fatigue happens guys get tired during games from stamina standpoint endurance is important and having depth is important Brooklyn like yes a big face left a lot of changing pieces here the Nets are now extremely young they’re probably going to lose a lot of games which is a danger here given the fact that they owe some picks to Houston but they are completely altering their franchise and I think long-term for the better bringing in guys like greed Shepard Jared McCain two guys who are going to be very good Shooters at the bare minimum but also have the ability to handle the basketball create probably a lot in early transition also be able to run some pick and roll uh and just work on and off the basketball I think that you’d find a really Dynamic product there in Brooklyn drafting not only Reed Shepard but also Jared McCain into the fold pick number 14 Brady and suac Koopa back on the dra uh on the board here now 14th overall for Portland uh and the Blazers who already went with Ron Holland probably looking into that front court now with the hopes and and aspiration of had of adding someone extremely athletic with a lot of physical tools and that’s exactly what they do here 14th overall they select forward tid johon Salon from cholet a player with really great length size athletic traits he’s extremely quick he gets downhill very well he’s an Above the Rim play finisher and the big question mark the the real swing skill whether he becomes a great NBA player or a not even serviceable NBA player is that three-point shot how reliable does he become does he turn into a 32% three-point shooter where you’re getting a streaky performance night tonight does he turn into a 36% three-point shooter which means from a night toight basis you’re probably willing to rely on him quite a bit more or does he just simply become a 28 27% three-point shooter which means he’s probably out of the league in 5 years that’s a big variance here but from an upside standpoint there’s not a lot of players that possess the physical size athleticism traits that he has if I had to liken him to somebody in the NBA right now it’d be somewhat similar to PJ Washington someone who has again very good positional size he’s quick mobile can attack Closeouts the real question for PJ Washington again on a night toight basis is that three-point shot our team’s going to leave him open in the final in the Western Conference Finals the Timberwolves and Celtics just decided they were not going to guard PJ Washington very much they found a lot of success doing that especially Boston now Minnesota had its own problems couldn’t contain Luca and Kyrie at all but for the most part PJ Washington has been completely nullified in the final two rounds of the postseason which is not surprising but T John Salon maybe from an upside standpoint he shot the ball extremely well from the top of the key in professional basketball playing in the L&B proa league so the Hope here is that Salon turns into to a better version of PJ Washington with a more reliable jump shot otherwise if he’s less reliable from three than PJ Washington he’s not a very good NBA player if he’s as reliable as PJ Washington he’s a serviceable solid NBA role player and if he becomes more reliable he turns into a very very good role player someone with a lot of the traits you’re looking for in a prototypical power forward in today’s modern game pick number 15 we have D Wade fan here I wonder who he likes uh pick for the Miami Heat and this is a great opportunity for Miami some players who I really like as lottery picks have fallen out of the lottery in this mock draft and dwade fan is going to capitalize on that 15th overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft dwade fan in the Miami Miami Heat select guard Devin Carter not only does he fit heat culture to a te but he is a tremendous get from a long-term upside and floor standpoint he’s got a very high floor because he has a lot of very serviceable ways of fitting into an equation he’s a good point of attack Defender does a very good job staying attached to ball handlers riding their hips and and impacting their shots around the rim if you look at his defensive analytics from his past season at Providence he was extremely extremely valuable in that regard he also was somebody who was a high volume self-c Creator at the college level now in the NBA I’m not sure he’s going to be as relied upon to be that sole Hub of the offense primary focus but for a team like Miami who really Prides themselves on mid-range jump shooting Devin Carter’s pull-up game could really fit into that kind of style offensively and I think his overall ability to handle pass and and create makes him a very valuable get here 15th overall I do like Devin Carter’s game quite a bit I think the combination of mental toughness and fortitude uh and the desire to win the the collection of winning plays that he makes throughout the course of a 40-minute game at the college game I think it’s going to translate really well to the NBA once he’s got frh pressure legs and he’s playing around other players obviously courts a little bit bigger season’s a lot longer so those are things that are going to test him early in his career but I think with him probably scaling his roll down a a pretty good amount I think he’s someone who’s going to function very very well on the defensive side of the floor and then also offensively when he’s picking his spots and being aggressive I think he could be a tremendous get here for Miami they already traded for Terry roier this past trade deadline but now they’re able to walk in here 15th overall uh and get a another long-term piece for their team and their franchise to go along with nicovic and to go along with haime hakz Devin Carter just a really safe sound strong pick here for Miami 15th overall we have another trade here at pick number 16 I’m extremely excited for that and it’s a good one uh the Bulls get pick number 16 the 76ers get Alex cuso now one thing I will say here I think Chicago could get more than just one first round pick for Alex Caruso now saying that out loud some people are going to say whoa what do you mean more than one first round pick for Alex cruso this is like the penultimate role player he is very very good off the ball he’s an elite Defender both as a off ball Defender and an on ball Defender he’s very versatile defensively I think Chicago is going to be capable of getting more than one first round pick but in this deal they get pick number 16 it’s at least a modern-day present pick it’s not something far out in the future so it’s a really strong asset to start the trade with what I do think is Philadelphia would be willing to give up more than just pick number 16 in this deal but the Sixers walking with with Alex Cruz so there’s a couple of big things to talk about in that not only does Alex cruso make a ton of sense for what they’re trying to accomplish from a winning standpoint but he also is cheap enough salary-wise where they’re not going to jeopardize their ability to sign someone like Paul George in free agency or some other Max contract player since Caruso is on a very team-friendly deal right now the Sixers can fit him in the cap space this jeopardizes nothing for them this offseason and it just gives them flat out a very good player who will help them win a lot of games I love this trade for Philadelphia like I said I think Chicago could have gotten more but now they have the 16th overall pick and bbal br going back to work here after drafting Cody Williams and starting to really build a foundation for this Bulls team long term he’s going to turn his eyes to the center spot and finding a long-term replacement for nicoa vuich 16th overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the Chicago Bull select cator Dron Holmes thei of the Dayton Flyers and for me I haven’t seen this comparison thrown out there too much in fact I haven’t seen it at all I think he the hope for him what he turns into what he blossoms into as a big man is something similar to Miles Turner someone who can protect the rim get a ton of blocks maybe not a true anchor maybe not the best defender at the center spot hasn’t been awarded as such Miles Turner hasn’t but they run homes the second like Turner can protect the rim he’s an athletic big man who can roll and pop he’s a dynamic screen Setter because of those Trad and his ability to play Above the Rim he has a nice rightand baby hook that he likes to get to as a postup option as well so if you switch he can punish some of those mismatches and then like I said he can pop as well and really shoot the three ball that’s where he’s grown a lot since his freshman season in the A10 to where he is now uh as a junior coming out of date and he’s really solidified his game and really cemented himself as a quality player a quality Prospect in this draft someone who is very likely to go in the top 20 or 25 picks on draft night this year I think balb here coming out with uh both Cody Williams and Dr Ron Holmes II who will likely function as a backup behind vich early in his career but could really blossom into a real quality starting center in the NBA I think this is a really good pickup for Chicago I think Brian’s doing a great job here with this Bulls team now I would have wanted to get more for Caruso but walking away in this draft with both Holmes the second and I’m a Dayton Flyers fan by the way so I’m really excited about this pick and Cody Williams I think is just flat out really really good for Chicago a team that was lacking long-term Direction I think really cemented two of their biggest needs here with a hybrid forward who can handle and get to the rim and also a big man who can either roll or pop while protecting the rim those are versatile skill sets that are very hard to find at a reliable uh standpoint and I think Dron Holmes the second really good pick here for Chicago pick number 17 we have the Los Angeles Lakers here Sports junkie Manning the ship here for LA and with this selection the Lakers select guard jacobe Walter from Baylor so we’re looking at a Baylor Bear here now off the board 17th overall he did get a Green Room invite to the NBA Draft so very very very very likely he is a first round pick uh almost a forgone conclusion based on who the NBA invited you know they talk to teams they they get a good sense of who is going to be high picks or or very likely top 20 picks in the draft and those are the guys they typically invite to the green room so that there’s not embarrassing moments uh like what happened with bull bull a few years ago so jacobe Walter here 17th overall for La I think does make a ton of sense you need shooting floor spacing around LeBron James Anthony Davis the Lakers just did not shoot very many threes jacobe Walter’s greatest asset is his three-point shooting but he also has a lot of length to his game he’s an athletic guard who can uh move his feet well and also just again with that length is going to be able to live in passing Lanes a little bit more uh he’s not just purely a shooter he can attack close outs a bit and has a little bit of defensive upside to him if if you’re able to coach him upright so I think this is a good strong pick for the Lakers here 17th overall jacobe Walter I think does make a good deal of sense a good strong selection here from Sports junkie now pick number 18 we have ni6 and fancy scorpion running the show here for the Toronto Raptors fancy scorpion one of the biggest Raptors fans I know so I’m excited to see who ni6 and fancy scorpion go with here now 18th overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the Toronto Raptor select forward Tyler Smith from g-league ignite another athletic physical specimen someone who for Toronto could provide some real face up scoring for them someone who can step out behind the three-point line about 40% of his attempts this past year for the g-league ignite program came from behind the three-point line and remember they’re playing the NBA three-point line so he’s got some good volume already when it comes to shooting threes now I would like to see him continue to grow as a three-point shooter in his development and I would like to see him kind of fade out some of those mid-range jump shots and turn them into more Rim volume and a few more just three-pointers if he could really master that he’d make himself a tremendous role player here for Toronto a team that wants some more upside needs some more upside uh long term especially with their kind of conjunction of weird pieces right now I don’t really know if their roster is built to compete but they have a lot of talent getting more talent in the building and then ultimately it’ll be a big puzzle for messiah jury to figure out how those pieces all fit together and which ones don’t fit and which ones he needs to trade later uh but I think Tyler Smith’s a big time upside grab here someone who with the with the traits uh could turn into an awesome player I’ve likened him a lot to Terence Jones who used to play for the Houston Rockets uh about a decade ago or so uh now that’s a very similar comp from a play style both of them left-handed as well uh but I think Tyler Smith a unique Prospect in this year’s draft and someone who could uh definitely stand out if everything goes right in his long-term development we have another trade here at pick number 19 so this pick is now moving hands the Kings now get this pick from OKC who moves down again and they acquire Malik monk in what is a sign in trade now the one thing I’m going to say OKC has kind of abandoned the the salary cap here in this so the the Thunder would have to send out some salary here uh to make something like this actually work uh based on the fact that they’ve already acquired Bruce Brown and Nick Claxton now they did send out a bunch of salary in some of those other deals like Usman Jen Josh giddy kenri Williams so they did send out enough salary to bring in those other guys but to acquire Malik monk they would have to send out more salary and this is under the idea that Sacramento would lose Malik monk for nothing so getting him now in for pick number 19 and what would be essentially a s trade using his early bird rights uh would be unique now I do think ultimately if the Kings could get Malik monk to agree to a 4-year $78 million deal they would not be signing and trading him they would just be flat out signing him I think Malik monk if he’s signing anywhere for less than 20 million a year it will be with Sacramento But ultimately I’m expecting him to land in either San Antonio or Orlando at this point in time that’s not a foregone conclusion though so maybe some other team jumps into the race in a signning trade or some other type of deal we’ll see but the king’s now on the clock at this spot 19th overall and Jacob looking to really kind of reshape what Sacramento needs and filling that Malik monk hole that is now very evidently there 19th overall Jacob and the Sacramento Kings select guard Isaiah Kier from USC and I’ve been very harsh on Isaiah ker this draft process I’m not extremely high on him as a player uh he is strictly a rim finisher a rim slasher there’s a lot of flaws in his game but one of the biggest positives of his game is his driving kick prowess and if you look at Malik monk as a player one of the biggest things Sacramento is going to miss after losing him this offseason if they do is his drive and kick skill set they’re going to miss his constant paint touches his quickness with the ball in hands and his ability to spray the ball out to Shooters and to generate more closeout opportunities for the Kings to attack so getting Isaiah ker who isn’t as good of a shot maker shot Creator as Malik monk at least he gives you that downhill Rim presence that downhill creation ability as a playmaker that if he’s going to be able to suck in the defense collapse the defense and and make out make those extra passes out wide he gives you a unique bench guard who can maybe create some of those advantages that you’re losing from Malik monk so even though I’m not the biggest Isaiah Coler guy myself I do think if you’re trying to replace Malik monk klier might be one of your better bets in this year’s draft from an actual standpoint of how he plays with his very quick First Step he’s very Electric in that regard and he has the ability to make advanced reads with a live dribble so those are some of the biggest positive traits I love about Isaiah Kier I think if you’re losing Malik mon again that’s what I’ve really harped on in this pick the Kings lost Malik monk here they needed to replace him 19th overall they get Isaiah ker remember they also managed to bring in Kyle kosma uh in this mock draft so far too so the Kings kind of reshaping their team a bit uh adding a little bit more size with kuzma uh a little bit more rebounding presence as well and now they’re replacing link monk with a worst version someone who I think is going to be far less reliable but someone who does have a lot of upside still from a creation standpoint pick number 20 the Cleveland Cavaliers here now X Smoke in the driver seat for the Cavaliers in 20 overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the Cleveland Cavaliers select Center SL forward Kyle filipowski and this is a little bit of a weird pick here given the fact that the Cavs already do have Jared Allen they obviously have Evan Mobley Dean Wade they have this collection of front Court pieces but they were playing Tristan Thompson some pretty decent minutes throughout the course of the year and filipowski is somebody who I think would be best served being a backup big man a third or fourth big on a run roster and with Cleveland’s valuing of size maybe filipowski does make some long-term sense Dean Wade also dealt with some real injuries this past year uh that really kept him sideline for quite a while and obviously the playoffs the Cavs were beat up as well filipowski might just be a BPA type of pick here best player available someone who in college served a bunch of roles a multitude of different ways to score as a cutter as a play finisher uh as a dunker spot sitter as an initiator of offense both as a pick and roll ball handler in isolation he cuts well he rolls well uh he gets on the glass as a putback guy he has experience in college playing both the four and the five think back to his freshman season playing alongside Derek Lively now one thing I would have loved to see more in that freshman season was lobbing the ball up to Lively utilizing his uh aerial presence that’s something that I think coming into Cleveland he’s going to have to learn next to Jared Allen is hey you can lob that ball up to the big fella so filipowski still got a lot of learning to do in his game but he does have a very well routed skill set with his ability to create off the bounds for himself has hit some step back threes which is very unique for someone standing nearly 7t tall he’s an impressive physical player he doesn’t have the longest wingspan in fact he has a negative wingspan but I think pick number 20 this is just best player available for Cleveland I think that they like their current grouping of players there’s a report right now that they’re not going to look to trade their core for I’m not sure if I believe that or not we’ll see what really happens I think that Donovan Mitchell extension is the biggest deal of importance here this offseason for Cleveland but getting Kyle filipowski just probably best player available here for smoke drafting him 20th overall pick number 21 Sports junkie Manning the ship for the New Orleans Pelicans this pick comes from the Milwaukee Bucks and with this selection he has the Pelicans going with an athletic Rim protecting or Rim finishing big man in Eve Mei from Baylor someone who is still relatively raw has only been playing basketball organized basketball for about six years years at this point but he is a tremendous athletic Talent with a lot of physical gifts he is a tremendous Above the Rim player on both head both ends of the floor he gets his head above the rim and he makes plays Above the Rim and kind of like a volleyball player those things when you have someone who could be that much of an aerial threat on either end of the floor it first of all does intimidate the other team it it forces them to stop challenging you at The Rim as much and New Orleans is already built an elite defense a lot of credit to Willie Green James burgo and the coaching staff there in New Orleans for building such a strong defense even without a true anchor a true rim protector they have really won with their length on the perimeter and and having a lot of just good athletes around the floor and as a result is made Jonas Valen chunis and and the absence of Rim protection less valuable for New Orleans but imagine how good their defense could be if they get someone like Eve Mei who can just shut down the paint four moments in time where he all of a sudden shows up out of nowhere a recover block where you’re like oh my gosh I didn’t even see him in the frame on the television and all of a sudden he’s blocking the shot and the the Pelicans are running back the other way in early transition I think Eve mey could be a tremendous get here as a dribble handoff roll uh Rim roller I think his downhill quickness his downhill foot speed is going to be a tremendous part of why he would fit into New Orleans and the system that they’ve been running now depending on what happens with James brego and the head coaching searches currently maybe that completely transforms what his role would be there in New Orleans so there’s a lot of speculation still that standpoint of what New Orleans offense is going to look like next year but an already Elite defense with a bunch of great defensive talent and length getting a true Rim protecting Center who yes he’s very raw but has a lot of the kind of intuition of hey I got to go make a play here that could be really special there in New Orleans for sure we have another trade to announce a lot of trades in this mock draft I hope you guys are enjoying again if you are make sure to smash that like button and here we are now trade number seven the Phoenix Suns receive Brook Lopez and pick number 23 the Milwaukee Bucks get Yousef nurkic Eric Gordon and pick number 22 so this is an interesting move here for a couple of reasons um the Bucks move up a spot the the Suns get the best center in the deal uh the Bucks get two worst players it’s kind of a tradeit to be honest that I don’t love for Milwaukee and I’m not even the biggest Brook Lopez guy because I do think the fact that he is so slow-footed has been a real problem from Milwaukee the last two postseasons uh we saw the Miami Heat exploit them back in 2023 we saw the Indiana Pacers exploit that even though yes I know the Bucs were injured they didn’t have their offensive Superstars I understand some of the the difficulties with that Brook Lopez was still a walking Target defensively uh and I think Brook Lopez is a very good individual Defender but if you don’t have the right pieces around him he becomes less valuable so the Bucs kind of reshape their roster they move up one spot in the draft the Suns moved down a spot but they get a center who can really shoot it and the Hope here is that his spacing his uh his shooting maybe helps really open up the the big three there in Phoenix and then 22nd overall here bear who is running the Milwaukee Bucks it’s targeting a big man who is going to sit in deep drop coverage as a long-term replacement for Brook Lopez and that player is centor Zack Edy from Purdue I can already tell some Milwaukee Bucks fans are not going to be happy with how this has gone for them Zack Ed there’s going to be questions about how he would fit in with Giannis on tedak kmo obviously we have not seen Ed shoot very many through throughout his college career I believe he’s made one college three his entire four-year career at Purdue but he is 7 fo4 he is physically imposing uh a great Rim finisher could be a tremendous screen set and roll guy now part of what’s made Milwaukee so Dynamic is Brook Lopez setting screens and then popping with a lot of deep range on average I think he makes like 27 1/2t 3s that’s something you’re not getting here at all with Zach so to be completely honest with you I don’t love the direction of this for Milwaukee now I do understand the of trying to get younger trying to turn Brook Lopez into a 22-year-old center uh Who projects to have a good long career ahead of him maybe like an aita zubot yonas Alan chunis type of big man it’s not a terrible player it’s just I’m not sure if this is what Milwaukee needs or how this really fits their roster but the Bucks aren’t done there’s going to be another trade later in this video where the Bucks bring in some Talent so maybe that would help this deal make a little bit more sense there Ed I think is a quality player I think he’s a pretty safe selection uh I’ve heard some people saying Boomer bust I I just don’t really see any way that he booms into a 25 Point per game score if that’s what you’re talking about and I don’t really see any way that he bus where he’s out of the league in three or four years because he can’t teach size boban marianovich has had like an eight Nye career and Ed’s a lot better than that guy um I think Ed is going to be anywhere between like the 18th to 30th best center on any given year for quite some time so he seems like a very safe relatively uh lower or higher floor solid ceiling type of player to me I think the Bucks you know they’re getting a quality player here I just don’t know how it fits with their roster so 23 Texas Sports who’s also running the Phoenix Suns now steps in he’s trying to make some moves he brought in Brook Lopez now at 23 he adds in Nia jurisich which is an interesting pick here one that I’m not exactly sure how he fits longterm with Phoenix he has a lot of upside he’s only 20 years old he’s been playing professional basketball for four years at this point in time I think he’s an intriguing Prospect because he’s got good playmaking feel good positional size at about 6 foot 7 without shoes on so he’s going to be a true 6’8 guard in the NBA with shoes on now the questions for me are who does he defend I think that’s a big flaw here for Phoenix now especially with Brook Lopez in the fold you’re going to play Brook Lopez predominantly in deep drop coverage who’s going to be your primary point of attack Defender still that’s a big concern I have for Phoenix now Texas Sports took over an impossible job here it’s almost impossible for me to be happy with Phoenix because they have completely trashed their roster in the chase of stardom they went and got Kevin Durant they sent out a ton for him I can at least justify that because Kevin Durant’s one of the 25 best players of all time trading what they did for Bradley Beal is unex in inexcusable to be completely honest so from now on the suns are going to be chasing their own Till looking to try and cover up their own sins that’s a very tough thing to do Texas Sports trying his best here I think Nicole jurich an intriguing Prospect I think some real serious upside here to work with I like his frame uh at the NBA draft combine showcased his ability to play off the ball something that was a big question given his role in mega basket this past year how would he look off the ball he looked very very good in those combine scrimmages so I think Phoenix is finding a player who could fit them offensively give them some of that uh playmaking that they need give them someone who can still exist off of Booker Durant and Beal but I still have a lot of defensive concerns for the Suns especially their point of attack screen navigation which is going to always be a huge problem with the decisions they’ve made roster wise prior to this Mo draft pick 24 and 25 are the New York Knicks now Dylan rad here Dylan rodocker is one of the biggest New York Knicks fans I know he loves his Nick Knicks basketball and I think they’re in a a great spot here I think the Knicks have one of the best rosters in the NBA these two players that they’re about to draft here 24th 25th overall I’m not even sure if they’d get play time but I think Knicks fans are going to enjoy who Dylan here mocks for the Knicks and I also think Tom Tibido would really enjoy who Dylan mocks for the Knicks here so 24th overall in the 2024 NBA Mock Draft here from the utility Sports Discord Dylan in the New York Knicks select forward Ryan Dunn from Virginia a really mesmerizing defensive Talent someone who can guard across multiple positions I think if you really want to get creative with him you can put him on centers and try and completely erase teams pick and roll games by switching him onto the initial ball handler and really shutting down opponent’s plan of attack now the only problem is by playing Ryan Dunn you’re probably shutting down your own plan of attack because teams are going to S way off of him you’re not going to respect him he’s going to get guarded very similar to Isaac aoro how aoro got guarded early in his career for Cleveland now the biggest difference though is aoro had a lot of functional skills to work with offensively Ryan Dunn has essentially zero of those he’s a good finisher at The Rim he’s an advantage finisher he’s a play finisher and a a basically a transition score because he can score at The Rim he’s a he’s super athletic and has a good frame to him the issue is he can’t shoot he can’t dribble and he can’t really pass so if you guys know my the way I look at basketball the way my draft philosophy and evaluation philosophy Works Ryan Dunn looks like a terrible offensive player to be completely honest but the other thing is he’s so good defensively that it might be worth worth having him on your roster and having him on the floor at times he’s that good of a perimeter Defender and he’s a unique freakish athlete he’s probably the best defensive player in this draft with all things considered centers forwards guards whatever you have he could be tremendous it’s going to take a long time for him to become a quality NBA player though because of the offensive concerns this is like a a two-year down the road type of pick I think the Knicks very likely could trade picks 24 and 25 on draft night we’ll see what they actually do but Ryan Dunn from a draft and develop standpoint could maybe turn into the steal of the draft if his jump shot comes around it’s a ginormous if but if it does he could be a Dorian finy Smith type player who makes a lot of money by hitting Corner threes and defending the other team’s best guy on a night toight basis pick number 25 staying with Dylan rad here and the New York Knicks like I said 25th overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the New York Knicks and Dylan select guard Jamal Shed from the Houston Cougars and this is another really good get uh a player who is just a tremendous Defender now he’s a little bit of a smaller guard uh but he has really been a nightmare for opposing teams when it comes to his screen navigation at the point of attack and I know the New York Knicks who already really value def defense and and having good Defenders on the roster think about Duce McBride in the role he’s played Off the Bench for the Knicks over the last couple of years Jamal shed might be a real upgrade even on Duce McBride who I think shed has a little bit more offensive game to him uh probably a little bit more of a reliable ball handler creator of offense but very similar defensive Acumen and instincts uh he just blows up screens at times with his ability to navigate them get his hands involved in the passing Lanes a tremendous Defender a really fun watch on tape someone that I am extremely excited about transitioning to the NBA and funny enough this reminds me of Marcus Sasser a year ago who went 25th overall to the Detroit Pistons now Jamal Shed from Houston going 25th overall to the New York Knicks a team loaded with defense values that here at 24 and 25 with both Ryan Dunn and Jamal shed a very unique combination uh and one that Tom tibo is probably smiling and grinning ear to ear if he has these two guys back to back on draft night we have a trade here at pick number 26 remember the Washington Wizards were going to be on the board but ultimately now a three- team deal sends Marcus Smart and Landry shamut to Milwaukee now Yousef nurkic who is no longer factored into the long-term plans of the Milwaukee Bucks after dra drafting Zaki he goes to uh Brooklyn to replace the void left by Nick claxon the Nets also get pick number 26 in this the Washington Wizards walk out with Marjan Bo champ from the Milwaukee Buck someone who the Bucks spent a first round pick on just a few years ago they also get Pat conon and they get pick number 33 so a lot of moving pieces in here now the Wizards moved down a couple of spots but they pick up a young Wing in Marjan Bo champ they also pick up a shooter in Pat conon who they could maybe reroute later at some point the Nets get pick number 26 so they move up into the first round for their third pick in this mock draft and the Milwaukee Bucks smile with the uh addition of Marcus smt a real upgrade onto their roster for sure a player who really moves the needle for them and now here we are Texas Sports doing a lot of work he’s working the phones for this mock draft 26 overall the Brooklyn Nets select Senator alich chamchi very unique Prospect came from NBA AF uh the NBA Academy in Africa uh played in the basketball African League he is very unique because he has a lot of the size he has a lot of the physical tools I talked about a lot of those things with uh with Eve Mei I think all rich chami also has some real passing upside to play into but other than that there’s a lot of work to be done yet so Brooklyn who lost Nick claxon they at least got back in this deal Yousef nurkic who is maybe a lower quality starting center you’re getting a a real development piece here and the Nets already have a couple of those guys they have no Noah Clowney who they drafted from Alabama last year they also have DQ Whitehead who if he stays healthy could maybe be a long-term intriguing shooting wing for them uh and obviously in this draft in this draft this Mo draft they were able to bring in Reed Shepard they were able to bring in Jared McCain they got GG jacks so the Nets have gone from kind of old and directionless to Young with a lot of questions but a lot of development hope and all rich chamchi is somebody who there’s a lot of of development that still has to happen he is not a sound ready NBA player at all this is another two years away from being two years away maybe now I think he’s a little bit more ready than that it’s not quite as bad as Bruno kaboko uh but I think chamchi has a lot of a lot of room to grow before he becomes a real name that we see on the end ba Court frequently but Brooklyn a team that again searching for a long-term Direction maybe they’re going to willingly give him minutes to try and really Usher his development forward it’s a unique pick someone I haven’t talked about a ton in the first round this year I don’t know if he’s a real first- round level talent but I do understand the upside grab here for Texas Sports I’ve loved his overall draft he’s been very aggressive getting multiple picks not only in this year’s draft but also in future years uh he’s brought in a lot of picks for the Nets I believe five in total in this Mo draft uh first rounders solely so he’s done a great job chamchi is a guy who if he hits it becomes an absolute home run if he doesn’t hit well you burnt pick 26 it’s not that big of a deal so it’s it’s an interesting uh proposition here for Brooklyn uh and again a huge shout out to Texas sports for all the work he does in the Discord pick number 27 now we have the Minnesota Timberwolves and fancy scorpion running the show here for Tim Connelly and the Timberwolves in this mock draft and for the Wolves here they one of the big questions for me going into this next year is how do they look to replace the role of Kyle Anderson I just don’t really foresee him coming back unless he takes a pretty significant pay cut to stay in Minnesota I’m not sure he’s going to do that so this is a big question here and fancy scorpion 27th overall selects forward Tristan D Silva from Colorado and he’s got a lot of Kyle Anderson in his game I think this is a tremendous pickup here for the Wolves KY uh Tristan da Silva kind of a playmaker similar to Kyle Anderson even some of the flaws in in his playmaking where he leaves his feel a little prematurely doesn’t really know what he wants to do with the basketball at times but does have some good passing feel and good passing Vision he has the size to manipulate defenses pass over the top of defenses and the way he moves is rather similar to Kyle Anderson now not as slow he’s not going to get nicknamed slow-mo 2.0 here but he does kind of just move in a little bit of a more Awkward way doesn’t move like a true NBA athlete if that makes sense but not in a bad way in like a way where his change of pace and change of Direction is just a little bit more unique a little bit more different and I think that is going to open up opportunities for D Silva and one of the positives about his game is he’s also capable of playing off the catch at a better rate than Kyle Anderson has so far in his career Kyle Anderson uh has obviously really struggled with finding a a stable consistent jump shot has had moments where it looks like he’s kind of growing in that area and then all of a sudden like just completely stops shooting he’s been super hesitant and obviously his jump shots quite ugly Tristan to Silva uh I think just going to step into the league as a more confident more willing more capable shooter so for the Timberwolves looking for young cheap labor talent to add onto their roster D Silva does make a good deal of sense I think fancy scorpion nailed it out of the park with this pick I think it’s a really good selection for the Wolves pick 28 Brady now running the show here for the Denver Nuggets stepping in for Kelvin Booth here in this mock draft and uh Brady I’m pretty sure is a BigTime Pistons fan so we’ll see who he has uh the Denver Nuggets going with maybe the last time I can call them the reigning Champions because the Denver uh because the Boston Celtics are on the brink of winning the NBA Finals so the Denver Nuggets the reigning champions of the NBA for the last time maybe ever me saying that 28th overall bradying the Denver Nuggets go with guard AJ Mitchell and I absolutely love this pick I’m super high on AJ Mitchell myself as an individual talent I think he’s an incredible player uh someone who exemplifies and embodies dribble pass shoot uh can get his feet to the paint he just knows how to maneuver defenses uses his pivot foot really well plays off of 2 ft which sets himself up for some creative finishing and being able to play a round length and I think for Denver a team that listen Reggie Jackson’s got a player option that he’s going to opt into for the Nuggets outside of that though longterm the Nuggets don’t really have a true backup point guard they do have Colin Gillespie on their roster as a two-way guy I don’t think he’s going to be a true NBA player for them so I think AJ Mitchell probably steps in and becomes the backup point guard behind Jamal Murray as soon as next season and then he’s also going to be someone who long-term I think is going to be a starting quality point guard someone who could be just flat out a really good player I’ve compared him to Jaylen Brunson now he’s not going to be as good as Jaylen Brunson he’s not going to be an MVP finalist or an MVP candidate like Brunson has been but what I do think he is is a really reliable point guard someone who is going to be starters quality uh I think he’s getting overlooked massively right now and I think this is one of the best picks in this mock draft uh Brady absolutely knocked out of the park here for the Nuggets number 29 we’re back to nape in the Utah Jazz uh now at this spot remember they went with dton connect at pick number 10 and now this pick coming from the Oklahoma City Thunder through the Toronto Raptors from a whole bunch of Trades this pick’s been moved around a ton 29th overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the Utah Jazz Select forward Bobby Clint from the NBL of the can’s typin now this is a player who last year out out of Wake Forest it had sounded like he had a promise to be a first strong pick ended up withdrawing his name from the draft surprisingly took his talents to Australia to play in the NBL and I don’t really think he’s helped his draft stock too much unfortunately but he is still a unique player and I don’t think a lot separates him from TI johon Salon to be completely honest now Salon is a lot more athletic there is more perceived upside in Salon but from a skill set standpoint I think Clinton Cuts about as well as Salon does I think he shoots about as well as Salon does so there are still a lot of pieces to Clinton’s game where the maybe the upside is not there but maybe the hope is that from a skill set size standpoint he can still solidify himself with a solid NBA career now Utah I don’t really know where they’re going to be able to give this guy minutes because they do have Taylor Hendricks they have obviously a collection of front Court pieces already with Walker Kessler Larry Markin and John Collins I just don’t know if Bobby Clinton ever factors into playing real serious minutes for Utah but this could be a pick where they’re looking for more size and length and hopefully two or three of their young front core pieces end up hitting in these draft Cycles so Clinton could be just a long-term upside grab and and hoping that he turns into a a really good off Ball Four who can hopefully protect the rim and just defend out in space and cut from the corner rebound the ball on the offensive end kind I I just I’m I’m having a hard time rationalizing why this pick’s a great one for Utah but I do understand like the the way Danny a could be looking at this if he were in this position and drafting Clinton it it wouldn’t like completely shock me either pick number 30 the final pick of the first round now we do have some second round coverage in this video as well pick 30 of the Boston Celtics this is from X Smoke and stingy both big-time Celtics fans and the Celtics who are on the brink of winning the NBA Finals now in reality I think they will trade out of this pick they’ll trade into the second round uh if I had to guess but 30th overall in the 2024 utility Sports Discord mock draft the Celtics select guard Terren Shannon Jr from Illinois former Texas Tech product and just today the day I’m recording this had his name cleared from some allegations I’m not going to say the word because I don’t want anyone to get triggered or anything like that you guys know exactly what I’m talking about has had some real offc Court concerns finally was found not guilty the day I’m recording this so that is a big development in the draft World tyan Shannon Jr is a good basketball player he’s a very great college basketball player I do have questions about how his game is going to translate to the NBA if he’s going to be a good NBA player if he’s just a very good college player I know that is kind of poor analysis to be completely honest with you for me I just do have concerns about what his role will look like in the NBA how much will he how often will he have the ball in his hands and what does his value look like without the ball in his hands now I do think Boston is one of the better Landing spots with the way that they play his creativity his ability to score the ball could fit there in Boston I think relatively well so smoke and stingy it’s a pretty solid pickup in my opinion for the Celtics round number two now we have a lot of Trades to get into here uh in fact two of them happen in round two the Grizzlies acquire Marquel fultz the magic get a long-term upside grab maybe and zier Williams and they also get pick number 39 Marquel FZ is an unrestricted free agent this is essentially a sign in trade uh where Memphis brings in a backup point guard uh and Orlando gets some of memphis’s leftover trade pieces here in Z Williams and pick number 39 and then the 10th trade in this video the Raptors receive pick number 45 and they also receive a future second round pick the Sacramento Kings get kenri Williams which I think is a really great get for Sacramento the Raptors kind of do what they did with Bruce Brown and they rerouted another player they got in a trade earlier in this video kenri Williams to Sacramento would be tremendous for the Kings and really feel a huge need that they have off their bench so here now is the full second round a few things I want to really highlight obviously there were some moves we’ve already seen a lot of these kaon George at 31 to the Raptors gives them a a guard with some good size and some shooting I think that’s a good pick from ni6 and fancy scorpion for the Raptors the Jazz get bub Carrington that’s a huge steal in reality I don’t think he’ll fall out of the first round so I wanted to highlight that the other thing here is this mock draft uh they this was conducted a couple of weeks ago before some of these players kind of fell out or uh withdrew from the draft so keep that in mind as we’re going through the second round list Johnny Fury goes to the Wizards I think that’s a really good pickup for them another guy who can be a play finisher a standstill shooter and cutter the Blazers get pacome dier I think honestly a player who’s probably going to be a first round pick at this point of the process I think he’s risen a lot uh and will likely be a first round pick he measured in extremely well at the European combine 6’7 without shoes on a 6’8 plus wingspan impressive the Spurs get Baylor shyman I love that pick for them that’s a tremendous get shout out to Nick and uh D the great for that selection it’s just genius selection there the Pacers get jayen Bridges a a two-way Wing uh out of Baylor just a really good uh pick for them Minnesota gets Tyler KCK so if you’re looking for a long-term point guard they already addressed the Kyle Anderson uh departure with Tristan D Silva they now get Tyler KCK the New York Knicks get Harrison Ingram uh out of UNC I think Ingram did go back to college I need to double check on that uh the magic get Dylan Jones out of Weber State I like that pick for them he’s someone who can create for himself off the dribble didn’t measure in as well as I think he would have hoped to at the combine but uh overall does have an impressive skill set Alex kaban did go back to Yukon unfortunately ad Demona for the Sixers is a tremendous get they don’t really need a backup big because they do have Paul Reed but that’s just like a talent grab of oh my gosh ad Demona is still here 41st overall I think unlimited had a heck of a draft for himself I’m not going to lie he did a great job Azrael PC for the Hornets goes with Jonathan mogbo out of San Francisco uh a big with some really good physical traits uh very likely we could see him go in the first round maybe in that spot where all rich chami went in round one I think Jonathan MoGo is probably mogbo is probably a little bit more of a likely first round pick um I think people are going to be really impressed with his play finishing his size and uh some of the plays he’s able to make on the glass as well Jaylen Tyson uh the Miami Heat man look at this they walk out with Devin Carter and Jaylen Tyson two older prospects but two guys who are ready to to really help teams win now I think they’re both good players uh Jaylen Tyson uh out of Cal just a really really good get here from Miami he’s going to be going from the west coast to the east coast I think he’s going to be pretty happy playing for a team that’s going to give him minutes and he’s going to have a really good impact as a a forward who’s capable of handling creating his own shot and passing it’s a a really good grab the Rockets get uh Justin Edwards really great get uh at 45 the Raptors ended up taking jir Watkins he did go back to school so unfortunately not uh in this year’s draft the Clippers take Aj Johnson out of the NBL an athletic guard uh Jaylen Wells for the magic um pretty solid get in my opinion the Spurs who already went with Baylor shman they taken a fun grab here with bronnie James someone who I think uh is really underrated to be honest with you I know people are going to say oh my gosh you’re just saying that because of LeBron’s kid whatever I I think bronnie James can play in the NBA so getting him 48th overall I think is really good Kevin mcculler for the Pacers uh and Trenton flowers for the Pacers so Zach and ozel PC both BigTime Indiana Pacers fans I think they’ve had a really great second round identifying Talent Jaylen Bridges Uh Kevin mcculler Trenton flowers a collection of wings and guards who can just do a little bit of everything for you Trent flowers can playmake a little bit he can shoot it uh he’s extremely athletic really good length this is like the Pacers don’t need to add a bunch of good talent in the second round cuz they’re already so deep they they nailed it here Bridget good three and D player mcculler does a little bit of everything I’m a little worried about how he’s going to translate to the league I think he’s going to be a little bit of a Wendel more Junior to be honest but I do think that ultimately grabbing him at 49 is it’s worth the risk there that there’s almost no risk uh 51 Bear for the OKC Thunder took Trayvon Brazil he did ultimately return to Arkansas so he won’t be in this year’s draft but I do do like the idea there at least for OKC finding a fourman who’s extremely athletic would have been awesome uh I hate Kerr and sua Koopa uh goes uh for the Warriors with Oso igodo from Marquette I think honestly a very solid pickup there um good length size athleticism uh for the Warriors I think just getting more of that around Steph Curry Klay Thompson Draymond Green just does make sense um we saw the impact that Jonathan kaminga had this past year the impact that Trace Jackson Davis had as a rookie I think Oso eodo going to have those types of impacts as well Hunter Salis returned back to Wake Forest I believe uh so he will not he will not be playing for the Pistons you see him at pick 53 smoke uh and the Celtics and stingy went with Trey Alexander out of ceton um Trey Alexander I I guy who can handle the basketball and and create for himself a bit uh interesting player Melvin nensa uh goes 55th to the Lakers from uh sad Clippers fan solid player solid player um Ean almanza I think a very interesting get here for the Nuggets uh Brady I think this is a genius pick Alman has a lot of feel a lot of uh great passing capabilities I really like that g a lot uh 57 the Memphis Grizzlies here uh Zach running the show for them drafted pton San for now he did return back to school uh but I like the idea there of getting a shooter uh this late in the draft someone who probably is just going to have a strong NBA career once he does finally come to the NBA and then the sports junkie ends our draft 58th overall with the Mavericks selecting KJ Simpson uh an Off the Bench Guard from Colorado uh someone who in the NBA I’m a little skeptical on where he’s exactly going to fit now he does have some real tools that are going to point to him being a solid floor General and Creator uh off the bench in the NBA now they do have Jaden Hardy already but I think the Mavericks do have a lot of questions about their role players after the way this finals has played out all of the role players have vanished completely essentially so maybe KJ Simpson does make some good sense there I don’t think it’s a bad pick at all I think from a talent perspective getting him with the last pick in this draft is very very good so that is our mock draft there now let’s look at some of the totality of transactions what exactly did we see in this draft a lot of stuff stacking up here uh I’m extremely excited to see the totality here uh as we go forward so here’s our collection of transactions we’ll start with the Hawks they get alexar that’s their only pick in this draft but they walk out very happy uh with their first overall selection the Washington Wizards a lot of moves they bring in Donovan kingan nicoa toic Johnny Fury Lindy Waters Aaron Wiggins Maron boap Pat conon they lose Kyle kman and Landry shamut this is an absolute Home Run for the Washington Wizards uh a really great draft for them in my opinion very very happy with the way that it All Shook out for them I think they’re one of the big Winners so unlimited he did a great job here the Spurs uh another big winner in my opinion they walk out with Zachary Ras Baylor shyan someone who I have a real first round grade on they get him in round two bronny James someone who I think can play in the league Josh giddy Usman Jen in a future first round pick uh and out goes Charles Bassie they also did trade out a pick number eight so that’s part of what makes this look a little bit better here too but all all in all I think the Spurs they’re in a really great spot to add some real talent to the roster whether they trade out or not in this draft I’m very excited about the Spurs future the Sixers bring in both Aden Bona and Alex kuso that’s a huge win for them those are two players who can contribute to winning right away uh in the NBA obviously Caruso is someone who has already beening doing that for a long time admon is going to have his first taste at it here in his rookie season the Houston Rockets H bring bring in five first round picks all via Charlotte uh they get Justin Edwards they get Rob Dillingham uh they send out Javaris Smith Jr and a first round pick of their own in 2027 but all in all I think Julian Sports junkie did a good job and they’re they’re going to be sitting there waiting for the Hornets to maybe not ever win games we’ll see what happens there the Trailblazers uh Brady and supera Koopa uh walk out with Ron Holland T John Salan pacom dier and Alex caraban obviously caraban is not actually coming into the draft but all in all pretty happy there a lot of physical tools to work with daier could maybe even have some real upside as a shot Creator himself lived off a lot of mid-range shot diet I think a pretty good draft for Portland Charlotte loses five first round picks here uh from azreel PC but he does walk away with a lot of talent he gets ston Castle Jonathan mogbo is a backup big behind Mark Williams Jabari Smith Jr and that future 2027 first round pick from the Rockets so he kind of flushed out their starting five we’ll see how that actually ends up working out for Charlotte it’s aggressive really aggressive but we’ll see Detroit comes away with MES buellis Hunter Salis obviously Salis won’t actually be in this year’s draft class buellis solid player we’ll see how he uh develops and Blossoms the Denver Nuggets uh big winners in my opinion Denver walks away with AJ Mitchell and Ean almana two players with really good feel Elman is going to be a tremendous short roll passer in my opinion has a ways to go inms ter of his scoring gravity and decision- making to be reliable come playoff time or even throughout the course of a regular season yet but I think AJ Mitchell is a day one player he steps in he plays real rotation minutes as soon as he steps foot in the NBA now going into our next collection of teams the Orlando Magic they lose Marquel folz who’s already going to probably leave anyway they get khle we Dylan Jones Jaylen Wells like that quite a bit for them they also did trade that 2025 first via the Denver Nuggets the Miami Heat bring in Devin Carter Jaylen Tyson some of the biggest winners in my opinion are the Miami Heat dwade fan you did a great job running the ship for them the Pelicans for uh RAM by dwade fan as well uh they did draft Eve Mei jacobe Walter remember went to the Los Angeles Lakers in this mock draft the Toronto Raptors uh ni6 and fancy scorpion they go with Tyler Smith kaon George and Jamir Watkins jir Watkins won’t actually be in this draft uh but Smith and George solid pickups for sure the Kings add Isaiah klier Kyle kozma kenri Williams they did trade away pick number 13 though they ultimately did get back into the draft for pick number 19 they also lost Malik monk remember they lost Chris DTE and Harrison Barnes the Cavaliers uh they got Kyle filipowski and didn’t lose anybody solid pickup I think just again best player available at the time smoke pretty solid pick Milwaukee Bucks they get Zack Edy Marcus Smart and Landry shamut they did lose Pat conon They also uh traded Brook Lopez and Marjan Bo champ so real Changing of the Guard here for Milwaukee the Phoenix Suns uh get nicoa jurisich and Brook Lopez they also lose Yousef nurkic and Eric Gordon the Knicks get Ryan dun Jamal shed and Harrison Ingram in this I think the dun shed combination is extremely unique for the defensive upside that they could have together in New York long term the Timberwolves I think huge winners of this draft cycle as well they get Tristan D Silva Tyler KCK for a team trying to compete and win right now around Rudy goar Carl Anthony towns Anthony Edwards these are two guys that you can slot into the rotation on day one Chris Finch is going to love the playmaking of both of those guys to Silva kak both of them can pass both of them can make decisions with the live handle I think both very safe picks uh and a great job by fancy scorpion the Clippers at Aj Johnson not really a lot to write home about the Clippers didn’t have much to work with in this draft and then the Golden State Warriors added Oso Garo pretty good pickup in my opinion Mavs add KJ Simpson again another team that didn’t have a lot to work with uh the Pacers add Jaylen Bridges Kevin mccol Trent and flowers they did not have a lot to work with either but they added three quality players in the second round I think really great job by Zach and Azrael PC uh for their work with Indiana and The Limited first The Limited draft assets they had in terms of first rounders still a great job adding guys who are either going to play on two-way contracts or maybe even standard second round exception contracts now too OKC a lot of moving pieces but they bring in Nick claxon Bruce Brown Malik monk those are the headliners uh out goes Lindy Waters Aaron Wiggins Josh giddy usan Jen they also traded out of their pick twice so they technically traded Pick 12 and pick 19 in this process as well but they got their team a lot better again the salary cap would be a problem here for them so they’d have to send out some more salary uh the community unfortunately did not look into that as much as they needed to uh but I hope you guys still enjoyed the trades from that perspective the Lakers brought in Melvin ainsa and also jacobe Walter at pick 17 the Grizzlies pton San Fort male Bridges Marquel fultz really improved their roster again Payton San Fort not actually going to be eligible in this draft now uh but they did send out a lot Marcus Smart GG Jackson Zer Williams two first round picks but Mel Bridges is the best player on the screen probably so uh and maybe not even probably just flat out so uh the Grizzlies get a really good player here uh in male Bridges Brooklyn Nets bring in a lot man two extra first round picks in the future GG Jackson uh Marcus Smart ended up going um out the door from Brooklyn he ended up in Milwaukee remember uh but they also got Harrison Barnes Chris dwarte Reed Shepard Jared McCain ALR Rich chamchi uh Yousef nurkic who ended up getting uh or actually staying in Brooklyn yes uh and then they sent out Nick clax and Mel Bridget so they traded two of the best players on the screen uh but they got a lot to show for it so a lot of credit there to Texas Sports uh I think he had a great uh a great run here as the Nets GM in this one the Utah Jazz ran by nape they get Dalton connect Bobby Clinton and Bob Carrington I really like that Bob Carrington pick I think one of the best value Selections in this year’s draft in this mock draft don’t connect a really good pick as well the Bulls B bball bride I think did a very good job I think he could have gotten more for Alex cruso like I said earlier but walking away with Cody Williams and Dron Holmes II got to be very very happy with that the Celtics get Terence Shannon Jr and Trey Alexander smok and singi I think you just flat out did a pretty good job adding talent to a team that already has a lot of it I have a special thanks here to Texas Sports who is basically the lead moderator in our utility Sports Discord again make Spurs let go of Josh primo, you think they’re going to trade for giddy lol
Heat draft Zach Edey and Hunter Sallis probably most underrated best PG in the 2nd round, ZYON Pullin, Keshad Johnson, or Antonio Reeves. Zach Edey is NBA ready, great touch on offense, can pass out the double, and when you need an easy bucket. Sign Jonas in free agency.
Dejounte or Hunter Sallis or ZYON PULLIN, Keshad Johnson Terry or Malik Monk
Niko Jaime
Jimmy Duncan
Bam Kevin Love
Zach Edey Jonas Val or Nic Claxton
Why am i not seeing any tyler Herro trade? He is definitely the odd man out for the Heat if decided to extend Jimmy this offseason.
Tyler can help the teams that need shooting/scoring like Magic, Detroit, Spurs, Kings etc.
W Texas Sports!!!!!
That raptors trade doesn’t move me at all
melo for jalen green and #3 pick
Can I replace the Charlotte gm lol
Josh Giddey to the Spurs?! They already had their problem child with Primo, and got burned there. I don’t care how good Giddey might be (debatable considering he was played off the floor in the playoffs), he’s not going to work for the Spurs. Charlotte w/Melo’s driving through red lights, Miles Bridges domestic issues and Brandon Miller’s getaway driver instincts might be better suited for Giddey’s services.
If Memphis trades their 1st round pick away, I’m calling for Kleiman to be fired, in the middle of the draft
Kuzma to the Kings is just a completely horrible idea. Send Kuzma's happy ass to OKC.
Lmao your crazy if you think Grizzlies are trading GG Jackson. They also wouldn’t give up all those picks for Mikal Bridges.
This is terrible! Lol
OKC could offer a better package for Mikal
The Lakers are after a big. At least is what I’ve been hearing.
I agree that Clingan going #2 is the best move for the Wiz.
Your right, that Hornets/Rockets trade is insane…I see the Rockets taking Reed.
Why TF would Rockets want any more draft picks theyre done rebuilding theyre now developing their core 6 for playoffs position push.
lol you fans gotta lay off 2k them trades on the game got yall out here wildin
None of the trades made sense for the Thunder
I love this for Portland. Highly unlikely that Salaun is still on the board at #14.
Can’t lie but GG Jackson gon be better than bridges. He’s a dawg
Grizzlies trade id do if I could get back N.Claxton
The dumbest Grizz trade ever
Never do this again… please!
Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, Mikal Bridges, Brandon Clarke, and Jaren Jackson Jr. would go the Finals the next two years at least.
Hornets trade is trash if it is Cam Whitmore then select Zacari Ricasher
I can understand the Rockets' motivation to trade down the pick. They want to get Redd, but they don't want to waste the No. 3 pick on Redd. But trading away JSJ is really not a very wise choice unless they can let Bridges and Mitchell join the team at the same time.
Silver would have every GM in the league drug tested if this actually happened.
Alex Karaban pulled out from the draft
Not a fan of the Orlando trade
Love the bulls trade
That bucks trade is awful and then drafting edey holy shii. I thought some of these trades were bad but that first bucks one is nasty
I;m hoping Zach goes to Toronto, but we could also use a dead eye shooter to replace GTJ if he goes
Give me GG over Mikal anyday.
Holland might end up being good but he is an awful pick for Portland. Another non shooter makes no sense, what team wins with a 5 IN offense.
This guy is on drugs if he thinks the Hornets would make a trade like that
Reports are getting out now on who the teams are inviting to work outs. It's been widely reported (in this case seen.) that Quinn Snyder flew to see Risacher play in Europe first and he has been to Atlanta to work out as well this past week. Clearly they like what they see!
At #2 The Wizards have worked out Sarr, Clingan and Cody Williams. General consensus is it will be Sarr.
Actually like this Blazers draft! I would have guessed the order of Holland and Salaun reversed, and while I question Holland's fit next to Scoot, I really like the energy, motor, and 2-way play of both of Holland & Salaun. The fit is more of a Scoot question IMO, and Scoot can still make a big jump, and if he doesn't then Blazers can look elsewhere in the next year or two.
Once again I fall upon another travesty of a mock draft. I have no problem with your draft itself. It's actually quite 🔥 honestly. But yet again no mention of Zach Edey having the absolute strongest feet in the draft. No mention of his sneaky quick shoulder twitch, elite ball in hand vision, unparalleled elbow length and structure and unprecedented foundational hip base. SMH…
